Marc Marut is a seriously troubled paperboy looking to adopt Alexandra Paul as his new mother in this 90s thriller. Karyn Dwyer, Frances Bay and William Katt also feature.

Another example of a video game not translating to the big screen. Where was the scene where he had to navigatearound a hearse? though the stalking aspect of the video game never really came across in the 8 bit format. Also I think I'm now going to go watch baywatch...with my telescope.

I think there was a missed opportunity to do a sequel where after the events of this movie, Johnny gets put into a mental hospital, but is eventually released and works as a mailman as an adult. And then he could become obsessed with another woman he delivers mail to and stalk her, but tries to adapt from the mistakes he made with Melissa

There are so many red flags from that kid he might as well be an Avis map. I do like how accurately American teachers are portrayed. She has a dozen people telling her this kid is a psycho, has seen how nutty he is, and walks around all "HURPY DURPY DUR! NUH UH! HE ISN'T CRAZY!"

Where I grew up (back when people still actually subscribed to newspapers), there was a box for the newspaper on the side of the pole that the mailbox was attached to. And they were delivered by adults in cars. I never in my life saw a child riding a bike tossing newspapers into people's yards in real life. The USA is a big country, though, so it could've been common elsewhere.
Where I lived (Los Altos, CA) they had some kids on bikes tossing them into front yards. They ALSO had adults driving cars….chucking them into front yards. 😂
