      Do it up. I'd rather pay for shirts or whatever instead of having to keep track of Patreon. And I know it's gonna be priced in that sweet rainbow-colour maple-scented CAD.

    Hey try kinetic sand with your ceramic plates as a combo. Demolition ranch just tried kinetic sand and it slows bullets and patches its holes

    Nice. I watch all your videos. Did you see that one guy's comment awhile back about needing boron carbide ceramic to replicate commercial armor? He gave you links to where to buy it, I think.

    • @artofeverything1816
      @artofeverything1816 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ceramic body armor is made out of a lot of different materials. The main goal actually being very light weight since a carrying a 50lb piece of rock on your chest doesn't really help very much. Boron Carbide, Silicon Carbide, Alumina, ALON. Alumina is pretty cheap and very light weight, but haven't been able to find it in the right sizes for cheap. Usually it's used as a thermal insulator in plate form or in dust form as an abrasive.
      Also there are lots of people making DIY armor out of HDPE(aka milk jugs), as a poor mans substitute for the body armor equivalent of UHMWPE.

      @@artofeverything1816 I thought 55 gallon barrels were actual UHMWPE

    • @artofeverything1816
      @artofeverything1816 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@edgarburlyman738 Looks like some are. But a 55 gallon plastic drum out of UHMWPE is over $100. An HDPE home depot bucket is $3. Or your neighbors recycle bin is free. If you don’t want to bother melting the plastic down you can also find cutting boards in HDPE which you might be able to just find in the right size.

    You guys would do well to show the (manufacturer claimed) velocity and muzzle energy of each round you're using. It might also give you some insights as to what's actually happening when the projectile hits the plate. You make a lot of noise about shotgun slugs and this black powder .50 cal. But without even double-checking the numbers I'll take a guess that the .303 coming out of your Enfield has both the highest velocity and greatest energy of anything you've fired on the channel, followed by the .308 and then the 7.62 Russian.

      Well said man, I’ll try to put those numbers in every video. It’s been on and off for a a lot of vids
