We're not allowed to get cans that fall in the hopper anymore. Had too many WCB claims we're told. The carts are cheaper than 1 lost day of work.
The last guy I heard of went to pull a heavy cart out and his hand slipped and he punched himself in the mouth and fell off the side of the truck lol. He wasn't hurt bad but he missed 2 days of work and was on light duty for a few weeks due to a sore shoulder.
I'm with a big city with lost of red tape. We can't even fart without filling out an incident report.

wonder how often you have to go dump on a YW route, the guys down here regularly do 2-3+ loads

depends on if its heavy that day most of the time they probably make 2 loads being they help out on another route on a rainy day 1 load maybe 2 xmas and new years weeks 2 maybe 3 with all the trees

Usually I do 2-3 loads, but it’s very dependent on the time of year and what type of yard waste is most prevalent
