    And I would personaly love to see a full on review on L'Atessa.

    So far I've only smelled Russian Tea, and Tango. Russian Tea is on my spring must-have list for sure. Tango is nice, but I don't know if I want a full bottle. Mandala and Monte Cristo sound gorgeous so I'm going to have to sample those too. Nice video!

    Not filling up a 28 min video with Ads.. Legendary 👍👍

    • @FragranceView
      @FragranceView  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I did place 2 to help the revenue a little, it does help.. but a few people add 4 Ads in a 10 minute video, so I don't feel too bad for only 2 in half an hour. Depends on the content, most times I won't place any additional ones at all. I never do click bait videos or top 10's and complimented videos, so my revenue from videos is pretty small compared to the other reviewers that get a lot more views than me.

    Excellent vid Peter. Well articulated. Really enjoy these overview style videos - keeps things concise. Although, I wonder if you could choose your favourite 2 or 3, give them a full days' wearing and do a quick update at the end of each one? I know each fragrance smells different on everyone, but it might give us some insight into the degree of difference from paper to skin. Fanks!

    Just as an idea it would be awesome if you could start doing single ingredient videos, or "fragrance fundamentals", where you focus on just a single ingredient like ambergris, or rose, or oudh (like you've done), or vanilla, etc. every week or something. That would be an interesting exploration, and be great for making content.

    • @FragranceView
      @FragranceView  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      you mean just describing the one scent by it's self ? or to include a list of fragrances that use the note ?

    • @speedwolf5212
      @speedwolf5212 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      FragranceView this would be really informative, imo. For example- I’d like to know the different types of synth musk/white musk. There’s some that give me a headache and some I can’t even smell. And it seems to be used in almost everything nowadays.
      Some other examples would be the different types of vanilla, Omani Frankincense vs Ethiopian, the scent profiles of various sandalwoods(including synthetics like javanol). Or why Iris has such a wide scent profile?
      Another would be the various types of bergamot. I’ve read it can be derived from a few different citrus peels(grapefruit, lime, etc), but it’s also it’s own fruit (bergamot orange)? Bergamot has always confused me.
      Would also love to delve into violets/violet leaves. That’s an ingredient that really intrigues me

    • @speedwolf5212
      @speedwolf5212 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      FragranceView and while we’re on topic- why is it perfumes/perfume suppliers don’t make or use Fraser Fir, only the less pleasant Douglas fir, balsamic fir, etc? Fraser Fir is by far the best smelling Fir, but an essential oil doesn’t exist (to my knowledge).

    • @vvee4725
      @vvee4725 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@FragranceView That's a good point. It could be both. I was just thinking about how little I know about different fragrances, and figured it would be cool if someone could do an in depth "review" about ingredients. But perhaps this can also be a lot more complex. Just to expand on the original idea you can not only reviewing how the ingredient smells, but also perhaps talk about the history of it, how its sourced, where its sourced, who does it best, comparing different companies that distill that ingredient, and the nuances/differences between them.
      I think there's a lot that you can play around with and make it as complex or as simple as you want to, but in general just something that gives more information about a particular ingredient.

    I do love these full house reviews... Great descriptions. That Montecristo sounds like its worth checking out. Your reaction to mandala made me wonder what you would think of Interlude man...I am not a huge fan of Amouage, but that one is unique, if not exactly wearable...- oregano and heavy incense but more head shop/olibanum/opoponax than church/frankincense.

      FragranceView Ha. Yeah, I hear ya. Speaking of scrubbing that one off...the experience I had with it was when someone sent me the last bit of a sample of it a few years back. I didn’t know anything about it so I sprayed a few sprays and almost choked myself out. I had to shower and throw my shirt in the laundry. I still smelled of it after the shower and the shirt still smelled of it after the wash. I do remember being mostly just baffled by it ... wondered since then if I had just over-sprayed it or if it really is weird. Thanks for weighing in.

    I adore this house. Since you asked, I would love for you to review Romanza. I think that narcissus is a difficult note for many as it can veer into barnyard territory. Masque Milano is one of my favourite houses recently, I have a bottle of Russian Tea, I adore L'Attesa, really need that in my collection, Mandala is different and I love it for it, Montecristo and Tango are both ones I'm looking to add as well, and perhaps even Hemingway; I'm not huge of vetivert at the forefront of a fragrance but I'll make an exception for this if I've already collected the rest.

    Excellent first impressions 😃
    I only own L'Attesa but I'm an orris nutball at core. I get a lot of gingery-ish fizz off my skin (I think it's that 'champagne note). You've just gave me the idea to test it on paper to see if I get more iris overdose. Sadly I don't detect Mysore sandalwood in the drydown (what a bummer!)
    I can't agree with Romanza personally. I can't pinpoint why but there's something nauseous about it.
    Tango seems like something I would like but there's a scratchy woody note in the base which irritates my nose. Beautiful fragrance otherwise.
    Looking forward to your full reviews whichever you end up choosing 😊

      It's a different kind of scent profile to Interlude... totally different incense, this one is heavily based in Frankincense, Interlude is quite a mix of all sorts.. in terms of sheer power, the opening of this one is stronger than Interlude though from top notes, but I doubt it will match longevity and projection of the blue beast though

Hmm.. what can I say? It smells of well and trully Ukrainian borsch to me. Which is for anyone else who hasn't had it smells strongly of sweet peppers, tomatoes and garlic.. There's a couple of nice ones, not all are fully my taste, but I appreciate what they're doing.. pricing is on point too for a change.

      FragranceView I haven’t finished your video yet but if I buy one. It’ll be L’Atessa. Russian Tea really disappointed me.

      I think for a straight up Tea based scent, it does what it says on the tin... but it's certainly not complex or dynamic, just depends what you're after in a scent I suppose!

    When I first smell Romanza it is disgusting, but I want a bottle. The opening smells like urine. Don't know why.

      The Dangerous Goods shipments from the UK are quite expensive... so I am not sure anyone will want to pay the shipping costs, I am hoping someone like LuckyScent will buy from me more in bulk, and people in the US can buy there instead...

      FragranceView I know I for one hope so
      Either way
      I will have to save up
      I have decided I am going to wait to buy any new fragrance until I at least see what you make
      Even to just support you
      Have been watching from afar for about the past week and I must have watched like 50 of your videos
      And you are easily one of my favorite channels overall now
      And definitely my favorite fragrance channel I have seen
      And I respect you so much on a personal level for staying true to you
      You know what you like
      And what you don’t like
      And you don’t pander to the thirsty TH-camr mentality
      You’re an artist
      And hope that it all pays off for you at the end of the day
      Because you deserve that much at least
      Your passion radiates through the screen
      Very knowledgeable
      And I know how much time and energy that takes when you love something so much
      Not to mention the $ investment learning all of your notes and trial and error being self taught
      Sorry if that’s a bit too wordy
      And doesn’t make total sense
      It’s 6 AM here and I am still up watching videos
      But
      Just trying to voice that you have impacted my life a good bit so far this year and are inspiring me
      And I didn’t want to go by forever and not say anything
      Lots of layers to you and facets in those layers
      Watching Q and A videos and back story
      Your success story WILL BE one I look forward to seeing the journey of
      Cheers sir
      :)

      FragranceView yes sir . I hope so . I appreciate you taking the time to reply . Do you have a PayPal account?
      / have you ever thought about doing Patreon? Or something like that to help the channel financially . If that’s an option just let me know . Would like to be able contribute what I can when I can . Cheers
