    It would be helpful to have patch diagrams, so we could follow along. The lighting makes it almost impossible to follow the spaghetti of patch cables.

    I picked up the 2S as my first dive into synths, this gives me way more ideas about what the Minibrute 2S can do on its own than anything else I've seen so far, thank you!
    Many other videos use external filters/reverbs/effects so this helps me understand what the brute _itself_ can do! Plus the captions are super useful to understand what's going on! Thanks again!

    I got the 2S not fully realizing what a beast it actually is. Safe to say that I’ve barely scratched the surface, and have a lot to learn about routing modular. Sometimes frustrating. Sometimes incredible.

    Explains in concise manner, but doesnt go in depth to understanding.. easy to understand what he is saying.. you have to know intermediate phrases about music.
    This guy is a TRUE ARTIST!!!!
    ... i know some sample riffs are popular songs but many that are improvised get me dancing!!! Hahaha. So creative that he shows you how to nearly multitrack with a bass/synth sound and DRUMS! Wow, creative and he understands a Synth!! Amazing! I've seen alot of Demos on this sequencer, this not really an 'introduction' to the minibrute 2s (although you can make music withim the first 10 seconds).. this video is for after you've played with the Arturia Minibrute 2s and want to take your sounds a step deeper!!! Love it

    • @insidesynthesis
      @insidesynthesis  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      All sounds, including drums, come from the Minibrute 2S, with the exception of added delay FX around 2:30 for one bit and for the very last part.
      If you're looking for drums, I'd look to a dedicated drum module unless you're pretty experienced. It's possible to do with a (semi)modular synth like the Minibrute, but it definitely takes a far amount of programming to get them to sound right.

    Is there anything the onboard sequencer can do that can't be matched by the Beatstep Pro? A Minibrute 2 + Beatstep Pro is a more expensive combo than the Minibrute 2S + Keystep, but I get the impression that it'd be a more comfortable set up to have.

    • @insidesynthesis
      @insidesynthesis  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The Minibrute 2 + Beatstep Pro is more powerful and flexible. It gives you 2 gate + 4 CV outputs, while the Minibrute 2s only has 1 gate + 3 CVs.
      Plus, the Beatstep Pro gives you 8 drum gate outputs (if that's your sort of thing).
