It would be so cool to have a system like in the sims 2 where we could separate different apartments on the same lot by buying a special door. Sims could move in on their own and live next to you, and you played only your household; you could even build a trailer park! Anyways, thank you for another great build! 💜
What I do is using the block system of the doors, so I allow the sims I want to be at each building. You can also uso the hire system to have "npc" at the other buildings

Now you can apply for room-mates and then just use the shift click on a door to decide who it's locked and unlocked for! Works great! But yes I am also surprised they didn't just allow us to fully create our own apartment blocks, surely they just have to implement the same code from Sims2 over. :(

When Eco Life came out and I saw that wallpaper, I about died! It's beautiful! I do wish they made floors to match. And could you imagine if they finally let us put wallpaper/paint on the underside of the roofs!!?!?! Omg that wood wallpaper and the slatted wood wallpaper from Spa Day would be AMAZING on the ceiling.
I’m pretty sure those half walls. Because with the platform update it came with a lot of sizes for half walls and you can put half walls around the platform. So you still can change the wall paper but wanted to make it clear you still can’t put any wallpaper on their. I’m sorry if this is confusing but I wanted to help.

One year later.... There's is now a way of renting the other apartments after University pack. Also there's that mod Choose your roommate by LittleMsSam. Maybe in a new release EA will add this functionality to the game...

You can actually live with several household. If you have the university pack you can find roommates and specify their beds and houses by locking your sim’s house enterance door only for the sim
You can assign their bed to them they will go home to their own bed at night. I built a neighborhood on one lot and that’s how I did it. Hope that helps guys 💓

I wish it was easier to separate their lives tho. Like, my sims will say they don't have access to food or a toilet because it keeps trying to go to another sim's private bathroom or kitchen

if this has no CC then how do i find all these build options? i dont see these fences, windows, and outdoor decor stuff that you have in this video. is there a certain pack its in or what am i not getting ?? This is amazing work and id love to make stuff close to it.

LittleMsSim has a mod that allows/doesn’t allow certain sims thru doors. It works for making multiple families in one lot
