    I just moved to Rwanda with my two young sons a week ago! I wanted my sons to see men being respected who look like them. I also knew that we had better options for living and did not have to settle with the crap that comes with living in the USA. Just being here is healing for all of us. There are things we miss about the States, but the more the days pass the more this feels like home. THIS IS WHAT WE NEED.

    This makes me so emotional. What’s more beautiful than seeing black people returning home where they truly belong. This video my day as someone who lives in America but every single day dreams of returning home. I hope they stay in Africa forever and won’t get discouraged. Raising a black family in America is the ultimate psychological torture so happy to see they escaped that. I wish them all the best.
    Also you can’t fault African Americans for being miseducate on Africa. Every thing African Americans have learned about africa came from white Americans as they don’t control the culture or educational system. Why would whites have any intention or desire to portray Africa in a positive light to African Americans. That context is very important instead of being judgmental. The miseducation will require a few generations to get rid of.

We KNOW we are being lied to and many people don't believe the western media; especially concerning Africa and the diaspora. What is so important to me about Wode Maya's videos is that he shows us the side of Africa we knew the media would not show us. It's hard when you are fed lies that you know are lies but don't have any other perspective. These videos give me another perspective....one told by Africans. I watch as much as I can.

    One thing those in diaspora need to know before moving to Africa is you need a very very good constant source of income to live comfortably in Africa.
    There are no jobs here so don’t come thinking you’ll find one. Best source of job income here is if you work with an international organisation (NGOs).
    Be extremely prepared mentally and determined no matter what to put in the work to get settled in.
    Life in Africa is not as easy as in the western world, there are limited structural processes in place and everything goes. Don’t on a whim get all excited about moving, think and plan it through thoroughly, have a backup plan.
    Business ideas that work in the western world may not necessarily work in Africa, you have to be innovative to know what the African people want, that is how you’ll get successful in business over here.

    • @henryokoye1014
      @henryokoye1014 2 ปีที่แล้ว +13

      Jobs? I will encourage people hoping to relocate to gravitate towards creating jobs rather than looking for one. You have what it takes to run your own business when you relocate. Africans by natuare are hard workers and you will find those that help you build that business and create wealth around you. If people in the West can run their country creating jobs, Africans should focus on the same and lay foundation for generations to come.
      If you are in diaspora and relocating to Africa, why would you be looking for job when you can create one with the knowledge and exposure you have? You don't create wealth by tethering yourself to a job. The freedom you seek in Africa should include the freedom to run your own life, and having your own business gives you the freedom to do more with your life. The various African governments will hopefully direct their attention to economic development eandeavors targetting those in diaspora who are willing to relocate and start their own businesses to help create jobs for many already there.
      Start a manufacturing outfit even if it's a small one and look forward to export with the knowledge you have about the country you relocated from. With cheap labor in Africa, build top quality products with low prices will create a market for you. Top quality products with lower prices than Chinese knock offs will find a ready market in the West with the assistance of the national government if they take it seriously.
      Just no cheap and inferior products of any kind. If push comes to shove, go back to the country in the West that you moved from and establish stores to sell your products and help introduce your products to that market like the Chinese did in America and other Western countries. Before long your competitors over there will start looking to find out where you source your products.

      Ghana❤️😍💚 🇬🇭too is beautiful in many amazing ways and our Ghanaian competitive advantages will only get better + better , especially with our UNSHAKEABLE democracy , wiser & WISER PRESIDENTS , accelerating significant foreign investments , sizeable & well regulated petroleum deposit$
      and hard-working , ambitious ,intelligent , dynamic , patriotic & creative youth force.
      Historical & contemporary records prove that Ghana🤎🇬🇭 has achieved a lot more than MOST other ∆fric∆n 🤎 👁️ countries & is increasingly well placed to continuing charting a brighter path to the stars and live UP to it's legendary nomenclature or name , the Black St⭐Rs .
      Ghana 🇬🇭❤️🌞☀️ is one , of just a few unique & special AfricAn 🤎 countries .

    You are a brave mom, salute to you🙏 the propaganda of media try to tell people how Africa is Bad and go to the villages tellingsome bad videos and show whole the world, hunger, war etc... but better to go there and your own eyes and how Africa is beautiful and people are friendly.
