  • This video contains portions of footage from Trooper Aiken, Trooper Davis, Trooper Gault, and Corporal Benton.
    Trooper Reddings Report:
"On 8/5/2019 at approximately 7:56p.m while riding with Sr. Cpl. Desmond Benton on US Highway 412 westbound I observed a black Honda Civic traveling eastbound on US Highway 412 which appeared to be exceeding the posted speed limit. Cpl. Benton turned around and proceeded eastbound in order to conduct a traffic stop on the suspect vehicle bearing Arkansas Tag 909 XWF. Upon making contact with the vehicle Cpl. Benton attempted to initiate a traffic stop. The suspect, later identified as Trent Guida, and his passenger Krystall Starr began fleeing. At approximately 7:58 p.m. Cpl. Benton radioed dispatch advising that he was in pursuit of the vehicle traveling.
Mr. Guida continued driving at approximately 120 mph westbound on US Highway 412 before turning northbound on Old Highway 68. After approximately a quarter mile on Old Highway 68 Mr. Guida did a U-turn and began heading back toward US Highway 412. L-17/ Alan Aiken and his passenger L-32/Kirt Williams were at the intersection of US Highway 412 and Old Highway 68. Mr. Guida turned westbound on US Highway 412. Cpl. Benton attempted to get in position in order to conduct a P.I.T maneuver. Mr. Guida swerved in front of Cpl. Benton’s car prohibiting Cpl. Benton from getting in position. Mr. Guida turned back eastbound on US Highway 412 and accelerated to speeds of approximately 120 mph headed toward Tontitown. Tontitown Pd attempted to utilize spike strips. Mr. Guida swerved toward the Tontitown officer and avoided the spike strips. Mr. Guida continued eastbound on US Highway 412. Cpl. Benton slowed his speed in order to avoid the spike strips. Trooper Aiken became the lead vehicle in the pursuit.
Trooper Aiken attempted to get in position to conduct a P.I.T maneuver. Mr. Guida swerved into Trooper Aiken’s vehicle colliding with the passenger side front of Trooper Aiken’s vehicle causing Aiken’s vehicle to go onto two wheels before slamming back down and disabling Trooper Aiken’s vehicle at the interception of US Highway 412 and Barrington Road. Guida turned southbound on Barrington Road. Cpl. Benton became the lead vehicle with Tontitown Officers following behind. Cpl. Benton attempted to get into position to P.I.T but Mr. Guida again swerved in front of Cpl. Benton’s vehicle prohibiting him from getting into position. Mr. Guida began throwing small plastic bags out of the driver’s side window. Mr. Guida turned westbound on Wedington Drive and again accelerated to approximately 113 mph. Guida turned southbound on Double Springs Road headed toward Farmington. Guida threw a bottle out of his driver’s window which appeared to be full of a liquid. Guida turned eastbound on US Highway 62 heading back towards Fayetteville.
Fayetteville Pd. attempted to deploy spike strips but Mr. Guida was able to swerve to avoid them. Guida began driving into opposite lanes of traffic and turned northbound on Interstate 49. Cpl. Benton again attempted to get into position to P.I.T Guida but was unable to. Guida took the Porter Exit and headed southbound on Porter Road. Guida turned eastbound on Lawson and then back westbound on Wedington. Guida then drove the wrong way down the exit ramp traveling southbound in the northbound lanes before turning back northbound onto Interstate 49. Guida took exit 67B and traveled eastbound on Fulbright Expressway. Guida turned northbound on College Ave and then turned eastbound on Joyce Blvd. Guida turned back northbound on Butterfield Coach Road and then westbound on Don Tyson.
Guida attempted to do a U-turn on Don Tyson. Cpl. Benton used his vehicle and made contact with Guida’s vehicle on the driver’s side door, disabling Guida’s vehicle and stopping his flight. Cpl. Benton held Mr. Guida and Ms. Starr at gunpoint and ordered Mr. Guida out of the vehicle. Mr. Guida refused to exit the vehicle. A Tontitown officer and I physically removed Guida through the driver’s side window and placed him onto the pavement in order to place him into custody. While attempting to place Mr. Guida into handcuffs he forcefully pulled away from me in an attempt to keep from being handcuffed. I was able to gain control of Mr. Guida’s arms and place him into custody. Upon searching Mr. Guida approximately $4,107 were found in his pants pockets. Ms. Starr was taken into custody by a Tontitown Officer.
    EOS."
Both subjects were on parole, and parole revocation warrants were later issued.
    Guida was charged with:
Aggravated Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer
    Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
    Tampering With Physical Evidence
    Felony Fleeing
    DUI Drugs
    Refusal of Chemical Test
    Refusal of Arrest
    Reckless Driving
    Speeding 75 Over
Fail to stop at red light
    Driving incorrect lanes
    Starr was charged with:
    Accomplice to a Crime
    Felony Fleeing
    Tampering with Physical Evidence
    Possess of Controlled Substance
    Possess of Drug Paraphernalia

Thats the only ticket i ended up getting but i took it to court and it was dismissed. What he didn't know is i don't drink or use drugs and i was leaving the bar because i was the cook there. He probably missed drunks pulling out because he pulled me over. Real rude dude too.

    • @justforever96
      @justforever96 ปีที่แล้ว +1

@@Lonesome__Dove there are a few, it couldn't be otherwise. look how many cops we have. I have had mostly good experiences, a few bad, and a couple where I felt like the cop could have given me a break but didn't do anything wrong. I had one cop threaten me and he took my expensive knives and never returned them even though I wasn't arrested. another Vermont trooper drove all the way back to my father's house to return my knives after he forgot to return them after he arrested my friend who was driving the car. another female cop pulled me over for speeding, and then asked me and my friend "so why did you buckle up after you saw me pulling you over?" I had made him buckle up before we even left town an hour ago. I said I was sorry, but we were both buckled up the whole time. she said "I have been doing this a long time, I know when I see someone not buckled in". apparently you dont! she came back to give me my ticket and said she was "going to let me off on the seat belts this time". dang right you are! I think she just didn't believe two teenage boys would be driving around with seatbelts on and that was her standard trick to get them to admit they have been wearing them. it still annoyed me. and then I found out the hard way that they had recently made it law that you have to yield to emergency vehicles. which also pissed me off because for years I have been carefully pulling over to give cops and fire trucks room because I read that most cops are killed in traffic stops by other cars. this one time I saw a cop with two flashing lights beside the road, and I thought that it would look like I was being suspicious if I pulled way over to the other side, so I just kind of pulled halfway over just in case he got out of the car. he pulled me over and gave me 5 points on my license and a $500 fine. I had no idea they had made it a law less than a year before. if he had just warned me I would have carefully pulled all the way into the other lane every time after that. so that made me a little bitter, since I always pulled over for cops stopped beside the road even when it wasn't a law.
and I was stopped and questioned once by a state trooper while walking my dog at night on a back road. I have mixed feelings about that, because partly I was just taking a walk, but partly I lied when he asked me if it was my truck parked up the road. I had a suspended license so I said no, that I had walked all the way out there. he had no way of proving otherwise, but I am sure his cop radar was going off. he tried to get me to change my story but finally he left when I stuck with it. but the fact that he stopped to question me at all annoyed me a little. I just wanted to look at the fields full of fireflies and the heat lightning in the distance on a lovely night, I didn't expect a cop to come patrolling that little back road. but a bunch of other times they just let me go with a warning. I got pulled over doing almost 80 in a 50 recently and he just gave me a warning.

It will also help seasoned officers stay current in PIT maneuvers. To qualify, you must have an expired driver's license and/or vehicle registration/no insurance, or an outstanding warrant. In addition, your vehicle must be capable of speeds in excess of 100 MPH for extended periods. In fact, Mustang's, Charger's and Altima's are encouraged to participate. I'll never understand the logic applied to ASP chases... they'll chase people like this for an hour, yet others they'll PIT/TVI 10 minutes into a chase? And then the trooper damned near writes his cruiser off to stop them
