They do have their own words for all these concepts/actions etc. Just like English has a lot of slang, it has just grown in popularity to borrow foreign words and integrate them into their language.

First of all people, only the singer is Japanese, and they are not trying to break in the western market,because they started there,they have a lot more sucess in US than in Japan. @Folivora, she understands what she is singing about, like someone said she is billingual. And this is a good band.

They're based in New York and only 1/4 of the group is actually Japanese. Shoegaze/dreampop doesn't really typify Japanese music either.
I'm just saying it's a shame they feel as though they should sing in English, to break into the North American market or whatever fine. I think they're good, and if they sang in japanese, more people would be interested in going to Japan, learning about the language and culture, be a cultural ambassador if you will. If I was Japanese, I would feel like my language wasn't good enough so we should all just speak English. I'm just saying it sucks.
