    Hello.
    Thanks for the information on both fly and condor strategies. Please make a video about the outcomes, when we deploy both fly and condor at the same time (one on top of the other).
    Thank you.

    Why iron fly and not just a regular butterfly

      @InfiniteQuest86 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Same thing. I think for the slides it is easier to compare though since both IC and IF are credit trades whereas butterfly is debit. They must behave identically though otherwise there would be arbitrage which would force them to become identical.

      All I trade is 0DTE flys during the last hour of the day.

      A butterfly would have less return.

    • @InfiniteQuest86
      @InfiniteQuest86 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jacksonparker3671 No they are the same exact thing. One is debit and one is credit, but return, theta, delta, everything is identical.

      @@InfiniteQuest86? An iron fly is a call vertical plus a put vertical, no?
      A butterfly is two call verticals or two put verticals

    Potential ROC seems like a meaningless metric. Kind of like saying, "the potential ROC for my long call is infinity!"

      You have a point, but I think in this case they were emphasizing that the outsized impact of extrinsic value decay for near-ATM trades might be especially misleading (eg, if you're used to selling on the curve where it's common to see near-zero extrinsic values well before expiration)
      They're implicitly talking about the difference between value at expiration and rate of decay between near ATM and farther OTM positions.
      That being said, there are times where I look at a structure's max PnL before sending the order, and I'm like "that's ridiculous"....so I feel you
