When fishing with a lead/feeder I hair rig my meat, I normally use chunks about 1 inch square, on a size 6 hook. If I was rolling meat I would then put the hook into the meat.

The rods are 1.75tc Trefor West Lone Anger, very nice but unfortunately they aren't available anymore.
