Yes, there is quite a bit of ear tickling on some channels. They will make you feel good when they review a component you've bought for example. Personally, it raises red flags when I see all positive reviews almost 100% of the time from some of these audio component reviewers. You are also right on the money about knowing who and when these people (channels) are totally biased. Good on you Dave! Keep going. You can just tell when the passion for this great hobby comes from the heart. Wish there were more reviewers like you on TH-cam. God bless.
Hello Firebottle! Thanks for the kind words. With a little thought and observation it's not hard to figure out who is telling the truth. In fact, there are many youtube videos that will help you to identify when someone is being truthful! Thanks for watching :-)
Hi Jerry, There are 2 threaded inserts in the bottom horizontal panel, towards the back. My speakers came with feet that simply thread in and out to dial in the tilt back. It makes a big difference when you optimize the tilt, the speakers have limited vertical dispersion and it's important to get this right. Have you seen the directions on this in the manual? I can't find it now but I believe that the original recommendation was 4" tilt back, when measured from the top edge of the speaker to the bottom.
@ yeah I'm missing one of the threaded inserts and all the feet. I have been playing with the height with blocks and i have settled around that amount of tilt back. I have been dinking around with the ob for abt 2 years and was frustrated with getting everything right. Well i decided to go with some power hogs that i don't have to play with that much. Thanks for doing that video with Loic by the way. I laughed when i seen it and said to myself i should have done this to begin with
@ i haven't been able to find a manual for the first gen ones on setup of them. I found one with the listings for the parts for all the gens of them. I just got done polishing and cleaning them all up and was quite surprised by my wife loves them. I have been playing with the tilt with some wood blocks. Mine are missing one of the threaded inserts so i have some work to do yet on them and she's happy to shake the windows with these. I was told this is the best speaker i have brought home
I found him annoying as well, and condescending. He immediately trashed Eversolo in one of his latest videos, saying something like "you won't find me reviewing the latest Eversolo on this channel. I'm only interested in the expensive stuff."
Yeah, I just thought that it was an interesting take and since my thoughts on the subject are so different from the greek, I was compelled to 'react' to his video. I've used an Eversolo for a little bit, very cool piece of kit!
Yes, a great find. I bought it locally, it was not working-it would not read a disc. I cleaned the transport and used a bit of silicone lube and it has worked flawlessly for a couple of years now. Matches my tape deck, too ;-)
I guess this begs the question. Are you trying to get to the point where you become “paid” so your reviews are always good and you don’t review anything you “don’t like” like shuff…? I guess the most truth channels are the ones whom have just started or don’t have the ad revenue. Most vids start out this way and I normally jump to the next non biased personas. But for what its worth, keep up your the good work. Enjoy sharing your experience. The purity of new channels are nice while they last. 😊
I want to get to the point where I am paid, but I never want to sacrifice my integrity. I just want to make some bank doing it! My selling feature is my integrity, and I hope that my enthusiasm and honesty will be of value to people watching. I desperately want to trash some components, once I get through the actually really good amplifiers I am playing with now I hope to check out some vintage receivers and get the actual truth about them.
Dudes not even Greek, he's American. He changed his channel name so many times, i keep getting tricked into watching it for a second. Something about him just rubs me the wrong way.
Yeah, I haven't dove into his crazy digital setup yet, I know that it can get complicated when you are trying to clean up and isolate a digital signal, with switches, isolators, clocks etc. LPs are complex enough, but physical and easy to intuitively understand!

Dave i watched loic's video. I have a set of amazings and was wondering your amount of tilt back. Mine didn't come with the feet for the back

Video was not overly long
Good to know someone’s backstory
The shills stand out as such
Thanks for watching and for your support! A little critical thinking goes a long way...
Great video Dave. Thank you for your insights.
I am glad you found it informative! Thanks for watching
A piece of advice: come to the point! You could have told this in 3 minuten. Don't repeat yourself.
Thanks for the advice, and thanks for watching!
Calm down.
Sheesh!
He's trying to engage with people.
And in audio you need to repeat yourself over and over for it to fully sink in.
Nakamichi CD-4 👍

@@davelistenstohifi I think this is one of the nicest looking CD players out there.
Sounds like all good quality perspectives. Keep at it.
Thanks Psyphonyx! Means a lot coming from you.

Thanks GT!

Got it. Don’t get me wrong, I think you’re doing a good job. Good luck with the channel. 🤙🏽

Good thing that there are so many people talking about audio here, you have a choice!
Greek Guys network switches
w optical boxes 📦 crazy setup
Shouldn't be that complicated

And ?
Yes, exactly!
Stay “gold ponyboy” and you will be fine.
Hey De132, thanks for watching. Yeah, that's the plan!
