Yes, recommended to hear one of the AGY amps, especially if you have the option to add an SP cap pack, FCF or get one of the preamps with the interesting 'tone' adjustments!
Enjoyable video - and a bit more to explain than a regular ‘off the shelf’ integrated amplifier. I appreciate you mentioning what were realistic expectations you had going into the review - all reviewers must have some preconceived notions of a piece of gear but rarely admit or talk about that in the review. It gives the viewer a bit of context about why the reviewer was ‘surprised’ or ‘disappointed’ about certain characteristics of the thing they’re reviewing.
Wish you mentioned the Cartridge you are using. I find such a difference in certain makes and models. I have found over my many years in audio that once you hit a certain level in amplification cartridges really start sounding different. Just heard a Lyra Moving Coil for the first time and was amazed. I’m sure to get the most from any quality amplifier a good source is imperative. Great review cheers. 🤓
I have a lot of respect for Blue Circle and a few years ago I even thought about buying one because I liked the build philosophy but I abandoned the idea due to my budget.
I try not to judge a book by it's cover. It is not easy to judge people on their looks because the looks could be deceiving. I judge people by what they do and how they do it. When it comes to audiophile electronic equipment most of us really do care how our gear looks. I wish I did not see what it looks inside. It looked like Gilbert Yong pooped all over it with silicone. Sorry, not for me.
I have a i807 on order, really looking forward to listening to it.
Hey Donnie, that's amazing! I think that you will enjoy the amp, the AGY stuff is really built with care and is really capable of amazing sound.
Very interesting ! I need to give her stuff a try.

Thanks for sharing your experience.
My pleasure! This one turned out to be much deeper than I initially thought it might be. Thanks for tuning in.

AGY has the “flavor knob” …in some designs..it’s beyond a crosstalk filter …it’s something very different and fun.
❤
Thanks for watching!
