Super cool kit. Dan. I loved the "Outer limit's" bit about the orange carpet. I spit out a little coffee when I saw that. LOL! I hope they get your packs to you soon. Take care and have a great week.
Nicely detailed model, but for £1,500 the centre armrest is missing the chrome ashtray that the early and Bond Esprit S1's had in reality. The orange carpet should have black vinyl panels in the footwell, and on the wheel arche pieces.
@@dansmodeluniverse I doubt it, the ashtray is sunken into the central arm rest. It's a major feature of the real cars (I own one). In fact in what is called the tartan interior cars without an ashtray (the Bond car did), the arm rest is completely flat, not ribbed. Only what is termed the Marcasite interiors had high frequency welded nylon panels. The black foot panels in the footwell carpets (floor and wheel arch) could easily be made with rectangles of black gaffer tape if you really wanted to be authentic to the full size vehicle.
@@dansmodeluniverse yes, the luggage area has black carpet. Though I would have thoughtful Wet Nellie would be full of missiles 😆 Search online for Esprit Series 1 tartan interior's for a guide. The usual size heel patch and similar size on the curved wheel arch just in front of the pedals. The passenger side also unusually.
Lotus probably told SIS that the only way they could have all the modifications in budget was if they got the unpopular carpet colour nobody else wanted in their Esprit…

Couldn't resist the Outer Limits clip :) Thanks David, almost half way there with this one..

Interesting, though it may yet come in future packs.

@@FridgeProductionsLtd I actually have pieces of the black carpet from the back of the car leftover. That could work..

Orange with green tartan seats :)
Nice model but a bit out of my budget at £1500.
