@@erwins_arm It seems they're doing fine from the looks of it: en.touhouwiki.net/wiki/C-CLAYS They released some more stuff at Comiket 97 in late 2019 (and understandably there was no Comiket this year and so doujin works might be coming out less until the virus blows over, except for whatever they can collaborate on remotely) At your first question: enerally yeah, a circle will be formed for a specific work that it's creating fan-works of, though I don't think it's uncommon that they'll do original work, either still under the circle name or on their own. For instance I believe Alstroemeria Records has some stuff that isn't based on Touhou, despite having made tons of Touhou music.
generally* also Touhou is still going, the last game came out in august 2019, and new games are still on the way; so not all of the works are based on stuff that's 10+ years old.
