Marty from the bottom of my heart! thank you for teaching me guitar. Started about 13 to 14 years ago when I was watching your beginner videos. I was anger cause it was pretty hard especially the bard chords that’s what made me so upset lol. I went from learning from you, to playing in church, to making music, to much bigger things. All credit to you man. It’s all about getting crafty. When I listen to guitar players/musicians in general I don’t wanna be like them. Or be as good as them. I wanna be the best player of my self I can be and work on my own craft and Technique. But all credit goes to you. You’re awesome. Once again thank you for everything!
For me it was the opposite the bar chords were a lot easier than the beginner chords at first

I’ve watched Marty for years even though I haven’t stayed with it (played) he probably is the most simple guy to relate to! He explains the chords and if you are a beginner learn the E and A strings and power chords and soon bar chords all become easier! Triads 3 strings make a chord is also extremely necessary then things come together!

If you have a guitar, at some point you have to play "Eye of the tiger" even if you hate the song there's no way round it.
I have been avoiding it for 5 years now. But the temptation has taken control over me. Learning it right now, must have played it more then 20 times in the last hour and half.
Awesome tutorial. I'm more of an acoustic player, but I kind of want to try electric now 😆. I hope you don't mind, but I have a few songs that I would be thrilled if you could learn and help me out with the strumming/picking patterns. I know you probably have a lot of song you are learning, so if you find time I would be really greatful. So there is "If" by Bread. It is a 70's song, and it may be on channel I just did find it. "Little Wonders" by Rob Thomas. "Alone with you" by Canyon City, he actually has a lot of good one s but this is my favorite of his. And.... Oh yeah! "Boom Clap" by Lennon and Maisy. Sorry this was long hehe but if you find time please learn these! Thanks! And again, you are awesome at guitar.😊
