The best way I found out to rush through acts is planning before. See the build ur doing and what you buy at each act. Hey, been watching your content for the last month, and I can say I've learned more about poe this league from your vids alone than I did myself for these last two leagues. And you put all of this effort in for the general public without hiding it behind paywalls. What a legend. Just wanted to say huge thank you for what you do :)
@2:30 this makes a lot of sense. I like the idea of snowballing as it's described here. @3:45 this is really really nice, Matthew. I really like these pictures. Your utilization of Sheets to provide reference material communicates to that you care about me, your audience. @3:57 you don't need to say "a lot of people". As a general rule, everything you're sharing is information that "a lot of people" don't know. Your informative content is good because you're one of the best players in the game. It doesn't matter to me that "a lot of people" think or do something, I just need to know what I should or shouldn't do.
Matth, I use to watch your channel for quite some time now, but never had the idea to comment. But, this time, there is no way not to comment. This file is amazing! A true job of someone totally dedicated to the subject. Makes life easier and allowed me to understand many profit opportunities, that I even tested and gain more than 10ex this afternoon while I was working. Thanks a lot for that, for every single detail, link, information and insights. I just wanted you to know that your effort is not unnoticed. Keep up the good work!
But guys remeber, the 6hours and 8 hours difference only matters IF you are going to do maps AFTERWARDS for at least another 4 hours i'd say. IF you are going to go to sleep after lvling to acts you dont need to strip those 2 hours of.
That gets me wondering how much potential currency we who have to start at around 8 pm, level, sleep and then start mapping the next morning lose. Like i guess it would only matter if you had a really optimized strategy but still
@@greenbear1561 Yep mostly what you are saying. Most of the comunity wont even get to maps like 15:00 european time, so if you are there before that, you are fine. You will still earn money fro mthe bigger unique drops like CArcass jack, but not from the build-defining semi-common uniques.
Yeah Ritual was my first time playing at league start so I'm still pretty new but I noticed that unless you plan to be like the top % of players who get to t14-16 red maps by day 2 or 3, there's no real benefit to pulling an all-nighter on day 1. Just take your time, you don't really lose anything if it takes you a week to finish the story since most non-endgame items get cheaper as the league goes on too. A pair of high res, life, move speed boots costs ~1 ex on day 2 and drops to 0.1-0.2 ex by the end of the first week. Things sell for higher currency at the beginning of a league but the items you need to buy also cost more so at the end of the day it doesn't make that much of a difference. Don't burn yourself out on the first weekend
Yeah, I too think that in the EU, it is better to just get to sleep :) Wake up afresh around 6am and start your league, so you can actually already buy some goldrims and what-not if you are lucky with chaos drops.
Thanks for all your great content Matt! Have learned so much this league (my first league and first time playing this game) from you and a few others. Keep up the great work - us noobs REALLY appreciate it! :D
thanks man. your videos are very helpful. came back after few months breaks. stuff like this, i dont forget everything, but its so good to have a list to remember everything again.
Me personally I plan on figuring out my starter build for next league and 1 to 2 weeks before this league ends I plan on completing the campaign on ssf to practice for the league start.
Do you have a guide on how to get all or most watch stones without needing to buy maps? I followed a popular atlas progression guide in reddit but I ran out of maps in multiple regions I think in high yellow maps or low red maps and it sucked balls trying to get watchstones while not having enough maps in a region.
Can you explain how do you actually make money if you’re 6 hours in vs 8 hours in? Apart from the occasional big ticket unique like carcass jack that may drop for you
Basically, getting stuff before anyone else is more money always. that can be higher tier maps, boss drops, youll have more currency since youve been in maps for longer. Faster you get to endgame, more you make.
Just ignore the league mechanics and try to progress the way you navigate the zones. Most things are about getting good. Nobody wants to practice leveling, it varies between 5 and 7h for me to get to maps, I league started a ele hit character using rain of arrows and I did few rituals, still less than 8 hours. The smokemine trick saves me legit one good hour. Tbh depending your build, if it is not something that is a bit greedy, if you league start D1 you should engage with the league mechanic. The full zoomzoom is for people who have planned ahead and won't hit a wall in white map, then know where to invest 10c on a 120% total res piece of gear and to budget a transition to red map worst case scenario wise... I'll definitely tryhard something next league with a path to syrius Day 2 and a gear progression planned as well but it's because I did amazing this league and I don't want to do worst next one :). My ultimate goal is to setup a fractured self curse farming zone at the end of week 2 and to have a reroll boss killer. Then I'll work on a retarded build, either a speedy bosskiller or an autobomber or deep delver targeting 9K deep xd).
The thing I struggle with is a league starter that doesn’t have enough damage to speed through. My league starters suck soo bad. I’m good at the speed but no damage
Use the recipes for weapon crafting with vendors. Check the PoE Wiki for vendor recipes. It's a way to both boost your starting gear and there's recipes for making currencies.
Should I really worry about leveling if the league starts at 8pm and Ive work the next day? I never reached maps on the first day, but Ive pulled 8-9h total playtime or less with gear, since I mostly care about finishing the story not really immense profits
The entire goal of that document and the casual exile series is to fix that, unless of course you don't mind it, then it's fine, in the end it's all about having fun :D
Nice guide man. But to me there’s no advantage because I work on the weekend. 8 to 10 hours of playtime is the maximum I can get on the following 2 days of league start if I don’t do anything else (work / PoE) and shorten my nights. Then I spend my. 2 days off doing IRL stuff so, it’s gonna take me a while to reach A8. This league I was quick because I planned a small surgery on league start but won’t happen again (hopefully). Good luck to those who’re gonna practice. ;)
I mean you say that, but honestly, a few hours saved is a few hours saved. Prices can move really fast early. If you can get to maps in 4-6 hours that means you've still got a quality couple hours to set yourself up with some currency for when you hop on next after work. I work full time and have other responsibilities myself as well, and honestly, the faster I can make the endgame, the better, period(currency-wise. Sometimes I enjoy just screwing around and not bothering with making currency/doing expensive builds/rushing).
@@joshuaharris2245 I already don’t have enough time to do what I want in the game. If I spend it doing a lot of research/practicing then I won’t be playing. Or it means I have to maybe skip an entire league just to practice and I don’t really wanna do that. The other reason is because I never really know exactly what I’m gonna play. PoE is not like D3. On D3 i know one week in advance what I’m gonna play and it’s not gonna change. PoE I know 1 day before league start so I don’t have time to get really ready. Yeah I could stick to one class or one skill etc but it’s too much of a headache for just a game IMO. Also you can really make a lot of currency in the first 2-3 days of the league to get ahead of everyone, and I’m too busy for that.
@@DamienBaka I guess I just don’t see how it’s headache. He put a spreadsheet together for us. Just having the thing open and following the general steps to help you get through the campaign faster should save an hour or two over most casual players play throughs. Even on a limited schedule.
@@noobgoestrapping5084 PoM always does a good job, that’s not the problem. Looking at the maps and trying to remember them takes time.
