    The commentator was amazing when Tia got hurt. I am so happy she is ok.

      It’s too bad too that she missed the trampoline, because the pass looked really good until that point.

    Thank you so much for censoring Tia getting injured. In wag often times the cameras will zoom right in, even with bad injuries and when the athlete is crying. I always feel it is disrespectful for the camera people to do that. As a lifeguard part of our standard of care is victim privacy. I wouldn't want one of the scariest moments of my life to be broadcast everywhere. Also it is triggering for me to watch someone get hurt, so thank you for saving the rest of my evening. I hope Tia is doing well.

    Can’t help but wonder if the track was a bit wonky? Because even before Tia Taylor’s injury, which certainly would have shaken some of the following competitors, it seemed like some gymnasts lost momentum due to tiny dead spaces on the track.

    • @invertcity
      @invertcity  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This is possible. We would have to ask the athletes to verify it, but good point.

    I have only recently begun watching tumbling and trampoline and have read a bit about the rules. In competitions this high level, do athletes compete in multiple disciplines or do they specialize in only tumbling or only trampoline? Also, I would be interested to lean people's views on the point system rather than total score system? What was the reasoning for a change?

    • @invertcity
      @invertcity  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Some athletes cross over to different events, and it’s common to see double mini athletes compete on the full-size trampoline. Admittedly , the point system is quite new and I’m not ready to say much about yet, but I’m working on learning it.

    No China?

    • @invertcity
      @invertcity  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They didn’t have tumblers for some reason. They rocked the trampoline part of it, though. And that’s coming to this channel in the next fewer days.

    Without wanting to belittle the performance. But am I wrong that it wasn't enough for the athletes to have a career in gymnastics?

    • @invertcity
      @invertcity  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      No. And it’s all gymnastics when you look at it properly. This is a different discipline that requires a different mentality than artistic gymnastics. We actually see higher difficulty on this event than in artistic. And not everyone wants to do bars or beam. Trampoline is an Olympic sport

    • @ekleamon1
      @ekleamon1 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@invertcity I disagree that there's a higher level of difficulty in this event compared to artistic. In fact, while I enjoy watching this, I'm often disappointed in the lack of form and difficulty of doubles. I understand that there would be a different feel to the floor, and you're combining more tricks together, but most of them are whips or handsprings. The Chinese usually have a better level of difficulty, but I haven't seen them competing this event lately.

    • @albarjas8360
      @albarjas8360 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@ekleamon1It is more difficult, because unlike in artistics, they don't stop to "dance" or move around.

    • @greyrain16
      @greyrain16 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@albarjas8360 I agree. And I really hate when people try and undermine (I'm not saying any of you did!) The accomplishments and hardships these gymnasts have had to go through. You really shouldn't compare them, because they all work extremely hard, and they are uniquely different, and the same!

    it's good to see Tia Taylor walking on her own after the jump. There were several similar falls in Tumbling men at this Championship. Such starts should not be at the tumbling elite level. Think F*ck. A trainer too, but you have to take it slow, get used to it and you have to feel where I am and what results from it. Shit, always too many accidents. The girl runs to jump, and she fell over and broke her arm 😂. Anti-athlete for sports, and the other trainer who put her on Tumbling as a supplement was odd. But here 😂. The Tumbler must be self-reliant and should have a Social Physical and Verbal Distancing from others. Big shit
