The best part about this scene is them wrapping up Silberman's character development. In the first Terminator he's the greatest skeptic and calls Reese a lunatic; now he instantly runs away when he sees a T800

I liked John in T2, except for the telephone scene when he didn't care about his foster parents' death, or when he insulted those muscular guys that tried to help him. Overall, T2's John Connor was a great actor, and he had a strong will, which I found admirable. Just my opinion though. I respect your opinion too. :)

Thank you! I've alwayd been put off by how cheap this movie looks. It looks amateurish. Especially considering how big the budget was. The Terminator movies that followed this are technically not much better or even worse but at least the look of the films reflected their budgets. Even Dark Fate. Not a good Terminator movie but it LOOKS a lot better than this..
Ya know, T3 gets a lot of flack and in some respects, maybe justified, but the last time I rewatched this, I got a blast out of it! From beginning to end it was like a non-stop rollercoaster ride of intense action! Of course it would've been better if it had had Edward Furlong and Linda Hamilton and *maybe* James Cameron but that last one is debatable. Perhaps a better scenario could've been given for a better plot, i.e., post-T2. I didn't like Sarah Connor being killed off off-screen. I also wasn't crazy about the explanation given for how events were unfolding. Remember this John Connor asking the Terminator like, remember, "Hasta la vista, baby?!" I get that this was a different Terminator but still, what happened to them preventing the future war? Oh, it was only delayed. Anyway, my main point though was how much I enjoyed T3 the last time I watched it in spite of the problems I had with plot and casting and such.
Action wise T3 is great. Plot wise, I was fairly annoyed. in T2, John as a kid can hack an ATM. in T3, John thinks he can stop skynet by blowing up hardware... Would have expected him to know SkyNET... isn't just hardware. Perhaps that's just that I am an I.T. that I felt John was too stupid. Sarah Conor Cronicals (short lived TV series) has quite a few plot holes but is quite enjoyable overall.
@@StuckOnStupid84 I think if the Terminator franchise didn't exist and Salvation was a stand alone movie it would have done far better in theatres. So many had wanted to see more of the apocalyptic future shown in dream sequences in 1 and 2 and had so many expectations of what it should be. When it wasn't what they expected people complained.

I wish they kept that doctor guy in the movies. His little character arc from hearing of the future from kyle and sarah. He didn't believe at first but little by little he does until judgement day. He then backs john 100% in the future war. They could have fit him in salvation somehow.
Flamethrower is a poor secondary weapon considering she is designed to take out other terminators. All that's gonna do is melt the skin off a T-800/T-850.
I love how t850 scans then turns to walk away and at that moment cute birds are chirping away as if nothing happened lol. I read crime murder mystery novels fiction and even in those novels if they mention birds they usually describe how the birds go silent during and after a gun fight, but here these birds are calm and act as if this is a normal occurance in a graveyard lol xD
Even with all the problems this film has, it still had Arnold in his prime & doing what he does best. Every film that came after was worse than this one
You can really see the difference between a great director and a run of the mill scrub. This scene is Mostows attempt at the Cyberdyne police fight. Just watch the two scenes back to back and its night and day between the talent levels.

An amazing scene. I always thought the Terminator (Arnold) was overly worried about not-hitting the humans with bullets, when Armageddon was just hours away.

I never really like T3 because after that movie Claire Danes wasn't the same person anymore. She was diagnosed with bipolar disorder and was sent to countries with crisis to do government work.
Amazing how 18 years later we realize that T3 wasn't that bad after all.... compared to the garbage sequels that came after. I always liked this cemetery scene in particular, and the humor wasn't as forced as the "talk to the hand" moment. I just wish the rest of the movie was better. Get rid of the lame inflated breast scene, etc. Maybe have some plot twist where Arnold turned out to be a bad Terminator at the end to keep it from being too much like T2, etc. I don't know. There are so many wasted possibilities
I think the difference should have been that he WAS there to protect John and what'shername but kills people without hesitation like Arnold in the first one because why try to not hurt people when they're all most likely going to be dead from nuclear annihilation in a few hours anyway. It would've been darker and supported the way the end plays out better..
Could anybody tell me how big the blowback of an RPG is? I think that Catherine Brewster would have bin hit by the blowback when the T-850 fires the RPG7 at the T-X. Also I think the blowback would have a serious impact on the car. It could even kill John Conner. I am not an expert, but people underestimate the blowback of these kinds of systems. You can say that the blowback must be about the same force than the one that that is accelerating the projectile forward. Not a small thing.
@@NicoandLuis on the contrary. The recoil is replaced by hot gasses blowing out of the back of the launcher. I know that it is ill advised to fire this type of weapon from the inside of a building. The shockwave and the heat can kill anyone standing in the room. There are some modern rocket launchers (like the carl gustav) where they can use a saltwater solution that reduces the shockwave and makes the gasses less hot. Simply look at the video in the link. @@philippe2715 that's right, that's part of the design. You will still notice though that there is basically no recoil for the soldier shooting the weapon. So my point still stands I would say.
@@philippe2715 I think I misunderstood your comment. You referred to the backblast coming out of the rear and I mistakenly thought you were talking about recoil when shooting. In that case you are right. Anything that is remotely behind that RPG would be toasted.

Ya know, T3 gets a lot of flack and in some respects, maybe justified, but the last time I rewatched this, I got a blast out of it! From beginning to end it was like a non-stop rollercoaster ride of intense action! Of course it would've been better if it had had Edward Furlong and Linda Hamilton and *maybe* James Cameron but that last one is debatable. Perhaps a better scenario could've been given for a better plot, i.e., post-T2. I didn't like Sarah Connor being killed off off-screen. I also wasn't crazy about the explanation given for how events were unfolding. Remember this John Connor asking the Terminator like, remember, "Hasta la vista, baby?!" I get that this was a different Terminator but still, what happened to them preventing the future war? Oh, it was only delayed. Anyway, my main point though was how much I enjoyed T3 the last time I watched it in spite of the problems I had with plot and casting and such.

Action wise T3 is great. Plot wise, I was fairly annoyed. in T2, John as a kid can hack an ATM.
in T3, John thinks he can stop skynet by blowing up hardware... Would have expected him to know SkyNET... isn't just hardware. Perhaps that's just that I am an I.T. that I felt John was too stupid.
Sarah Conor Cronicals (short lived TV series) has quite a few plot holes but is quite enjoyable overall.

Salvation holds a special place because the plot is difficult from all the other films.

So many had wanted to see more of the apocalyptic future shown in dream sequences in 1 and 2 and had so many expectations of what it should be. When it wasn't what they expected people complained.

I wish they kept that doctor guy in the movies. His little character arc from hearing of the future from kyle and sarah. He didn't believe at first but little by little he does until judgement day. He then backs john 100% in the future war. They could have fit him in salvation somehow.

I read crime murder mystery novels fiction and even in those novels if they mention birds they usually describe how the birds go silent during and after a gun fight, but here these birds are calm and act as if this is a normal occurance in a graveyard lol xD

You can really see the difference between a great director and a run of the mill scrub. This scene is Mostows attempt at the Cyberdyne police fight. Just watch the two scenes back to back and its night and day between the talent levels.
I noticed that too. T2's shootout was much, much more detailed with a lot more elements to it.
Probably not the same budget either.

I never really like T3 because after that movie Claire Danes wasn't the same person anymore. She was diagnosed with bipolar disorder and was sent to countries with crisis to do government work.

Amazing how 18 years later we realize that T3 wasn't that bad after all.... compared to the garbage sequels that came after. I always liked this cemetery scene in particular, and the humor wasn't as forced as the "talk to the hand" moment. I just wish the rest of the movie was better. Get rid of the lame inflated breast scene, etc. Maybe have some plot twist where Arnold turned out to be a bad Terminator at the end to keep it from being too much like T2, etc. I don't know. There are so many wasted possibilities
I think the difference should have been that he WAS there to protect John and what'shername but kills people without hesitation like Arnold in the first one because why try to not hurt people when they're all most likely going to be dead from nuclear annihilation in a few hours anyway. It would've been darker and supported the way the end plays out better..

Could anybody tell me how big the blowback of an RPG is? I think that Catherine Brewster would have bin hit by the blowback when the T-850 fires the RPG7 at the T-X.
Also I think the blowback would have a serious impact on the car. It could even kill John Conner. I am not an expert, but people underestimate the blowback of these kinds of systems.
You can say that the blowback must be about the same force than the one that that is accelerating the projectile forward. Not a small thing.
The RPG is actually a recoilless weapon, so there is not much to it

The recoil is replaced by hot gasses blowing out of the back of the launcher.
I know that it is ill advised to fire this type of weapon from the inside of a building. The shockwave and the heat can kill anyone standing in the room. There are some modern rocket launchers (like the carl gustav) where they can use a saltwater solution that reduces the shockwave and makes the gasses less hot.

@@philippe2715 that's right, that's part of the design. You will still notice though that there is basically no recoil for the soldier shooting the weapon. So my point still stands I would say.
