Once glued to your stock. If you gently pull the gangway out, it will extend you did it at time 5.57. Then when the coaches have coupled again they should give a nice tight push against the next coach. Eliminating the gap.

Hi nice video, they certainly make a big difference to the look of a rake of coaches thanks for sharing. Regards George..

I like them. The effect looks pleasing to the eye. You do not need that much perfection. I think you chose the only 1st class Arriva buffet they have, to please our Welsh MP,s, they paid for it. I am Welsh by the way.

Hi, try some of the Hornby R8099 coupling they fit the mk3s I have used them on all of my MK3s with the corridors connectors and run both ways with no problem. With my 67 as it is only used with the arriva stock I put some insulation tape over the light connectors cab end next to the coaches. Hope the suggestion help.

I will certainly look into that, thanks for the tip

These make a massive difference. Try changing the couplings for close couplings, this should then get rid of the small gap still visible.

are these the ones you're talking about? www.hattons.co.uk/17740/Hornby_R8220_NEM_pocket_close_coupling_x_10/StockDetail.aspx

They look great I thinking of getting a few packs of them for the different coaches there are

certainly worth giving a go, they don't cost the earth

Very enjoyable video, liked and subscribe. Getting a decent coupling would help bring the cap closer together and improve the overall look know end.

Certainly would, I'm looking into closer couplings as you say to try and eliminate the rest of the gap, glad you liked, and I've bee avid watcher of your videos too :)

Alnahudy Central Many thanks, I’ll look forward to a update on them.

I like these as a product but they don’t eliminate that glaring gap between coaches. I’m currently experimenting with Kadee couplings and early results prove favourable with closer running stock. I wonder if the remaining gap was bridged with these connectors would I get the best result possible? More experimenting required. Thanks for sharing. Paul

yep same here, they certainly reduce the gap, but it comes more noticeable on curves, hope you find a solution,

Have you thought about trying to attach the gangway part of it to the blanking plate with a very small part of low tack double sided tape? Or you could try a little strip of velcro but that might make it stick out too much (unless you remove the blanking plate in and stick the velcro inside. Just some ideas.. Cheers, Michael

good things to experiment with, thanks for the ideas :)

I would suggest magnetic tape would pull the corridors together and be separable. The Velcro maybe too much?

was thinking that - a piece of steel paper on the end of the connector, and a piece of magnetic sheet in the connection on the coach?

If you have enough put blanking plates both sides & glue! Sadly it means the rake can’t be split but does get rid of the gaps 😊

and thats the problem, you have to weigh up the pros and cons of having them permanently together or the slight gap, decisions, decisions

Been there bought the t shirt.
You need to remove the plsstic fitted dummy gangway then add whatever paper gangway. The large std couplings make the gangway gap too large so shorter couplings are required to complete the effect.
Depends on the tightest of your curves and the radius of points used too.

Can't you change the couplings from the coaches into short couplings? Regards Onno.

I got them easily to fit glue end of gangways
