This is one of my favorite depictions of how an Eldritch deity would react to worshipers. They have zero interest in being worshiped, and in no way endorse the crazy rituals and find the particulars just as disgusting as any normal person. They may have occasionally done what the cultists ask simply to get them to shut up and leave the deity in peace, but that backfired and led to more cultist interruptions, so they will never do it again, but the cults just keep coming.
Cthulu really just wants to vibe man. Another amazing SCP to look into is SCP-1762, it is genuinely one of the best written SCPs and I find it one of the most creative stories out there!

i think this is the first one alicia's seen that's played for humour, which highlights why SCP is so popular. They can range from scary monsters and events to tragedy to outright comedy. another one i suggest for humour purposes is the vending machine.

And on the complete opposite spectrum of that one is SCP-1048 "Builder Bear" which is very similar to 2295 yet not at all. So I think learning about either one of those would be fun.
