    As a part 107 im stuck right in the middle. I dont agree with this ruling at all. I also fly alot for recreational purposes as well. The main reason I got my 107 was for TH-cam monetization. Luckily for us there are some grey areas. I agree completely we need to stick together and respect each others decision because there are going to be pilots that will and will not comply.

    RIP FPV people, if this come to stand, then the hobby is dead.
    Non compliance may be the only way out?
    The FAA made a huge mistake to push this bull crap. I've seen so many call them FTFAA, which I understand why.
    As you say, each person makes their own decisions, and as for you, since it's part of your existence, it makes it important for you to comply.
    Thanks for being honest and open about this topic.

      Yeah that's all I was really trying to do. Totally do not agree with this at all but we all have different circumstances just didn't want to seem like a hypocrite. I think the landscape of videos being posted in a post remote ID world is going to change. It's very unfortunate for sure.

    All good points, thank you. We are all in this together collectively, part 107, fixed wing, quad, rotary wing, > 250g and souring so we need to stand together and not go down the path of this shouldn't apply to me because I only fly ???. that only weakens our whole argument, I guess you've heard the saying "to divide and conquer"? Don't let that be the RC modellers.

    0:35 True some of us live in areas where bad actors congregate and if something happens nobody wants to fess up, and then there's people that live in remote areas were they really don't even need a remote ID to be identified because everybody knows who that person is because they're the only person that knows how to fly.
    If you speed everywhere you go and get a ticket, it's on you.
    Same for RID.
    There's no point in judging people on RID.
    We all have our own personal scenario to deal with.

    • @AdventureFPV
      @AdventureFPV  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Very true we all have our own circumstances. I wish this was not the case but it is so I'm going to have to deal with it.

      @@AdventureFPV Just a thought.
      Perhaps RID will migrate into a more effective tool if it wasn't so generalized.
      Taking location into account of where it should be required and make a map for the pilots in airspace classification.
      At least the entire country wouldn't be so irritated and rebellious.

    • @AdventureFPV

      I was just trying to bring a level-headed approach and not seem like a hypocrite. My last video showcase the ridiculousness of their vision for the future in this one I just wanted to explain where I stand and where anyone will have to stand if they want to continue in the commercial side of drone use. Of course this is not going to be a problem for my DJI drones as they are already equipped but retrofitting some of these FPV drones is going to be difficult.

    Well lets be honest . the AMA sold the Hobbyist out for forced membership and forced flying field only flying . They skipped meetings and hearings while 336 was allowed to be removed .IN their own words and I quote, "we did not have to be in those meetings and hearings" end quote .
    They also implied that desire across many editorials in their magazine. When questioned they assured some of us that was not what they were trying to do ( remember also their motto change ?
    Then they changed it back ? Fast forward again to Mr Hanson's Op Ed in the Hill how anyone who was NOT a AMA member was flying illegally and were criminals and rogues?
    Fast forward again and here we are basically being criminalized because we dare fly outside of a aeromodel club and refuse to be a AMA member etc. Then we have additional CBO's who the FAA claimed could make FRIA's but now have been told few will ever be allowed to be created and now they must have a environmental impact study done first ( also as the AMA stated they most likely will be exempt from that to ) and these new CBO's had to change their sggested guides to appease the FAA or else lose that CBO status and what have they done for the hobby? Nothing but give over to everything the FAA has demanded.
    NOW we have RID coming in September for everyone outside a FRIA while the FRIA for awhile is exempt .
    RID is a surveillance tool and we all know it. The AMA stated "they were advocated for RID for years and yet they are exempt ? And RID was never a thing until DJI created it in their own drones , so how was the AMA advocating for it ? We know the AMA lie and lie a lot, just like the FAA does.
    SO what do we do ? We either bow and give up another right and freedom or will refuse to comply with the nonsensical rules . WE can not comply with anyway.
    IF we stand as one and the majority do not buy modules and refuse to back any and all who do and boycott the many commercial entities who are buying the airspace through lobbying Congress who has now pushed the FAA who admitted they know nothing about this hobby to make rules trying to regulate it.
    SO again , what do we do ? We can do no other but deny to comply because the rules here in the US force us not to IF we fly safe. Every rule the FAA created makes our flying unsafe if we follow them as they are currently written . What happens here happens everywhere and the RID rule is a tool so commercial entities can MOVE and or REMOVE us from the skies to satisfy their UTM sky highway plans .
    Explain how a community who is divided by those who sell their rights away for a dollar versus those who refuse to give up their rights regardless?
    My stance is if you want to make a dollar at my expense than I say you need to be boycotted just like the commercial interests who have bought the airspace . We need to make your gain go away and in fact ALL those who back the regulators to destroy this hobby for gain need to be BOYCOTTED and removed from the RC community. YOU have sold out like the AMA did and that young man makes you a SELL OUT thus part of the problem NOT the solution . As Now we know the dollar means more to you than anything else .

      Being smart and playing by the rules is essential to me. As a passionate video editor, my journey into drone flying stemmed from my love for creating captivating visuals. Producing client videos and content for TH-cam brings me immense joy and fulfillment. However, I recognize the need to operate within the framework of regulations, even if I don't particularly agree with them.
      Maintaining compliance with the FAA and other governing bodies is a personal decision I've made to sustain my ability to pursue what I love. While I wish these regulations didn't exist, I respect your choice to take a different stance. It's important for me to provide for my family and uphold my responsibilities.
      Paying taxes, although I may not agree with the system entirely, is part of the reality I face as a homeowner and provider. Each year, I fulfill my tax obligations, understanding the implications of not doing so.
      Everyone has their own perspective and choices, and I don't judge others for their decisions. If I had the luxury to disregard certain regulations, maybe I would, but I've invested significant time, money, and skills into this craft. For now, I'll continue operating my drone in alignment with the guidelines followed by commercial pilots.

      Sorry I accidentally deleted your response comment I was trying to edit this one and accidentally removed it. Fat fingers on a smartphone.... But anyway here's my response to that comment: @FlyingBuzzard hey thanks for the civil conversation. Let's start with taxes sure on the surface things like highways and infrastructure sound great but what about funneling billions upon billions of dollars to the Ukraine and paying for free crack pipes for drug users or funding food stamps for someone who doesn't want to work. I don't agree with that but yet I'm being forced to and if I don't apply to that someone will come with a gun in my face and throw me in a cage. I think the taxes are actually a pretty good analogy. And as far as my child goes yeah you're right I'm not going to put a tracking device on my child. I guess my point is I truly value creating art and making things I love for my customers and the TH-cam community so in order for me to keep doing that I'm going to have to either complt with the rules or never post again. I'm 1000% on your side with this Don't get it wrong. I'm pretty sure you and I could have a great conversation over beers about several topics seems like we're on the same wavelength. We just happen to disagree on this particular topic due to her different circumstances.

    • @FlyingBuzzard
      @FlyingBuzzard ปีที่แล้ว

      @@AdventureFPV Probably true. Yeah taxes do so much but they use it for corrupt things we have no say in>
      BUT I will not preach about it but we all were warned Centuries ago and that warning has been passed down through time when we desire men to rule over us . and what they do to us and make us pay etc SO WE are to blame . Same with this RID nonsense, BUT One can look at past Court cases one that actually address this sort of surveillance and it concerned cell phones and GPS Tracking and data collecting and sharing. ( Carpenter v US )
      The SCOTUS Chief Justice basically said it was near perfect surveillance and it was like having a ankle bracelet on every cell phone user and they determined it violated the 4th Amendment Privacy rights of everyone. Well RID is a GPS Tracker and it collects and shares that data and allows surveillance on every operator, so in essence it is like having a ankle bracelet on every RC Aviation Operator . BUT the RDQ v FAA case the judge refused such cases and ruled based on this " Anyone flying a drone in the air has NO expectation of privacy " Do you believe your Rights cease to exist when you fly ?
      Do Rights stop because we go into the public ? Drive a car, walk down the street or someone see's your kids throw a ball in the Air suddenly their rights are forfeited and yours ?
      There my young friend is the question and why this nonsense has to change or else we are no longer a FREE society but now under a dictatorship or a Communist one
      Sure this is just flying toys, but ask yourself what will be next and what Rights and privileges will we lose next ? We already have no say in where taxes go good or bad, they are controlling the energy, water, food, schools, and on and on that goes.. and now our Flying toys .....LOL

    I fly a mob6, I can't comply, a rid module is heavier than my little drone. If I could get it to fly with that module it would just get more dangerous because the weight potentially falling on someones head is increased. Also the faa has no business in my backyard. What if I buy one (if the prices should become reasonable) and attach it to a bicycle or some other hobby device. Say my bicycle gets stolen, I could probably use the app to find the bicycle. 107 cert pilots can fly under rec rules if only for fun, and only those drones used for 107 work need their own unique RID function. www.faa.gov/uas/recreational_flyers

    • @AdventureFPV
      @AdventureFPV  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, I am aware that a 107 pilot can fly recreationally as well. It's also my understanding that you need to declare the type of flight you intend to initiate before it begins. Or if you use footage from a recreational flight for the furtherance of a business, a.k.a. a monetize TH-cam channel that makes it fall under 107 rules.
