saki was reading her old “middle school” diary, which is how she wrote this song because leo/need was trying to write a song that really suited the new live house they were at. it’s called “show-off” because it felt like everyone around her was “showing off” the fact that they got to lead normal, middle school life while saki was stuck at the hospital. tsukasa wasn’t there since when she was writing the song, it was late at night and middle school tsukasa could only visit saki so much. i do hope you read the story since it’s on ensekai now.
even without the english translation, i could tell that it was about people saying things about them that arent true just by the overall tune of the song and the images
