Kstate dodged a bullet. Turnovers killed Tulane
and the refs. they called offensive pass interference in the endzone clearly wasnt at the end of the game.
4 CAR, 54 YDS, 13.5 AVG, 1 TD...I'd say Dylan is doing extraordinary things, with the limited touches! As a matter of fact I'd say that's Elite! He making the most of his touches.
They don’t think he’s got the power to be the main back. It’s a case of trying to use his speed accordingly which means finding open space plays which is rarer than the average run

Much more aggressive play calling a la Collin Klein is needed. Also let Avery do his magic with his legs. Remember the five touchdowns running against Texas Tech last year! Had Avery replaced Will Howard from then on, K-State would have gone much further for sure. Anybody else out there who agrees with me?

Helluva battle
Bad call at the end of the game for Tulane, but penalties and mistakes in the second half really cost the Green Wave the game. I expected the D-line to play better, but 0 sacks for Patrick J. and the other D-linemen, if they had played to their potential, Tulane might actually win this game convincingly. The D-line was supposed to be the strongest group on the Tulane defense.
Kstate has a really good offensive line, even though they have a lot of new starters. Also Avery J is extremely elusive and runs like a 4.3, so if they get past the line he usually just runs around them.
Glad to hear their D-Line unit is so good though, because Avery was never getting much time to throw. I was complaining about that with my buddies the whole game, so they were definitely bringing it.
The pick at the end was called because Kstate coaches informed the refs that Tulane was using pick plays, especially in goal line packages. Just go back and rewatch at 9:23. #11 for Tulane set a pick on #21 of KSU so that their TE could get a yard of separation. They weren't called for that one, but they should have been. Play with fire and you'll eventually get burned.
Also, even if they weren't called for an OPI on the last drive, they still didn't score. The WR didn't cross the goal-line, nor did he maintain possession as he came down.

Tulane KState is always a great game. Hope we keep this matchup going like the last couple years, its a fun way to start the year
This was as good of a game as I expected it to be! Tulane played well, and so did my Wildcats. I'm disappointed about the late call in the game (yeah, I actually agree with that one). I wanted this to go into OT so there wouldn't be any doubt as to who earned the win, but this is good enough.

I love how they called an offensive pass interference with seconds left in the game for a rub route that is basically never called. Then, 2 plays later they don't call a defensive pass interference on K-State even though it was blatant. What a coincidence🤔

Fr. Tulane should be ranked even with this loss. Especially with some other ranked teams struggling like the formerly ranked Florida State and Notre Dame today.

yeah those receivers found a ton of room on the dbs. they are going to be a problem. turnvers and field goals cost them. they moved the ball much better than k-state was probably expecting.

It's a mixed bag for me,the refs need to be fired and never work again in any sport.
That being said,K State held a supposed to be high-powered Tulane offense to 0 Points in the 3rd quarter and K state made Tulane turn the ball over twice when it mattered in the 4th quarter.

Both of the late plays in the end zone were pass interference. The refs caught one and missed the other and cost Tulane the game.

As someone who is not a fan of either team, those PI calls are awful and show the major issues with the bias that pro sports have had since legalization of sports betting as smaller teams get screwed over.

I am so tired of refs dictating who wins the game by these bad calls in the NCAA and NFL.. They don't even have shame anymore for the ridiculous bad calls..
This sort of an OPI is a point of emphasis. They’re watching for it. Why would you run that there and not hand the ball off to your stud RB from one yard out. Ridiculous and correctly called.

Supposed to be an ESPN highlight reel but they show Tulane's highlights from 3 or 4 different camera angles and seldom do that for K-State highlights and the announcers keep talking against K-State. They show the blown calls that worked against Tulane but didn't show any blown calls that worked against K-State. What a garbage highlight reel.
