On this edition of the ArsenalVision Podcast, Elliot (@yankeegunner) is joined by Clive (@clivepafc), Tim (@stillmanator) and Paul (@poznaninmypants) to luxuriate in a massive win over United. The pod starts with the emotions of the moment and just how much it all means. Then the big moments are broken down with praise being dished out to so many players who played an important role in the win. There’s love for the Hale End boys and of course for the magnificent Zinchenko as well as some thoughts on Trossard’s cameo. There’s some tactical breakdowns, some data on the Arsenal dominance and some schadenfreude as well. Lastly there’s a bit of a discussion about where this leaves the title challenge. All that and more on this edition of the ArsenalVision Podcast. #arsenal

Clive's last point is so valid. What have we got to lose? The field is so steeply tilted towards Man City (and before long towards Newcastle) with 100m players on the bench, we must just enjoy it, every moment. This is already a special season whatever happens from now on

This game had echoes of the 97/98 fixture at Highbury when Platt scored that last minute beauty. Nketiah's goal felt as significant as Platt's back then.

The relationship with the fans as it currently is is grounded in last season and I believe especially in the in away matches. I think the fans saw early on the the players reacted to the them and its almost become a situation where the fans and the players are almost goading each other on...and the it just keeps on intensifying :-)
Goading perhaps is not the right word but you get what i mean...

Good job guys -keep it up...

i watched from home in usa. for the 2ndweekend morning in a row, I had to jump on the treadmill to get the jitters out. we weren't in sync in the first half. we looked reserved. white, partey, ode, martinelli weren't playing well. they looked more even to us at that point. in the 2nd half we looked more fluid. we started playing our game better. we stopped Sir Marcus and their game ended. they played for a draw and we started to show our class. they couldn't live with us. I had a feeling that the 3rd goal was coming and just as I was becoming disillusioned it arrived. fantastic contest of resilience.

Some even commit suicide over this shit. Sport is for entertainment purposes but some report reactionary and trigger full of content. It’s hurting fans and causing unnecessary anxiety but they just don’t care. We need more level headed content.

Nketiah was my man of the match he is really proving all his doubters wrong, this kid has massive potential, his movement is top class his touch and hold up play have improved, if he keep improving at this rate he will get more minutes than anyone predicted, gotta say i was one of those that just thought Eddie was a goal poacher nothing more, but God Damn he is fuc*@ing proving me wrong, what a middle finger to all the doubters...

Ben White did not have a good half and got hooked. 170k/week Luke Shaw lost the ball 17 times and played all 90. Depth is the difference.
The issue with Trossard playing the inside 8 channel means that Zinchenko cannot pop up on the right and take the game by the scruff of the neck, because when he does, Xhaka is in the left back space. The beauty of this first 11 now is that they have combinations going forward and backwards, and Trossard hasn't quite proven that yet, hopefully he has it in his locker.

Martinelli isn't weak link, still pushing play not losing ball a lot.
But Clive spot on, Mudryk last summer was a mistake, could have been Elneny injury but no bid had been made. Whose call was that?
But Trossard and Mudryk would be fine.
Still worried about squad depth and injuries but the mentality growth this season has been excellent.

In the last 30 min Arsenal laid Siege on united. We virtually trapped them in their own penalty area. Now and then there was a desperate hoofed clearance out of the area but the arsenal player hanging back just put it right where it came from and kept up the relentless pressure

Another great episode, guys. Great work. Interesting discussion on Trossard. As much as we are enjoying the moment, Paul is right about our polarised feelings from here on, although in a funny way. Regardless of the outcome, one massive positive is that we are back and here to stay and compete, unlike the leicester season.

@ yankeegunner/Elliot have you heard a supposed quote by Oleksandr Zinchenko? I have not seen a video so I say supposed. The quote goes "In the game when I got bored I gave the ball to Anthony and then took it back again" The man has giant sized ones! I did not like him at first but as he has adapted and improved he has grown on me. And those pep talks he gives to the team are amazing. he brings so much to this team. And it is like we have 4 captains in the team.

If we manage to go all the way to the final of both the Europa League and FA Cup, we would still have to play 31 more games this season. Plus there could be FA Cup replays, and international games on top of that.
My point is that we are going to need ALL of our players. Whether we're debating about Martinelli or Trossard, White or Tomiyasu, what about Smith-Rowe's minutes ... everybody is going to play. And that includes Jesus. If the latest news is accurate and he's back around the start of March, even if we still have to ease him back in, there will still be plenty of time for him to have an impact too.

One thing that can be improved is our goal to XG ratio. Think that will come.
My wish is Spuds fluking a win or draw against City. Wonder if Lampard will still be at Everton when we go there? We win City will feel some pressure as they will feel its a real must win.

If we beat Everton then pressure on City going to Spuds. But sorry to say Spurs get battered even when they stay. But let's hope they win it with an own goal no shots on target and Haaland hits woodwork 5 times

Agree about cup. Secret is no first team players and therefore no moral hit.. Turner, Cedric, Holding, New guy with tweaking gf, Tierney , Elneny, Laconga , Vieira Trossard Balogan (bring him back for a day) and Marquinous. It's actually not a bad team 😀. But he will probably go strong 🤣

I agree with against low blocks but, let's not forget it took Martinelli less than a minute to score against Liverpool. Can see him potentially causing similar problems against City too.
He's probably the player who's missing Jesus the most, & it's definitely part of the reason he hasn't looked as sharp post WC.
