Coincidentally I thought of another reason to hate this show yesterday. There's a theme in the show about how no one cares about what happens to black military veterans or soldiers and the Isaiah guy or whatever his name is, is the example of that happening. But when US agent's BLACK friend and SOLDIER is killed by a terrorist infront of them all, the only one who cares is US Agent, Sam doesn't care and neither does bucky. What a shit show.

The blip has always been stupid, the world would not recover from half the population dying at random within 5 years. Many many more would've died from the initial panic, food shortages from supply chain breakdowns, any wars that would be kicked off from that. It'd be complete chaos, they never took the blip seriously.
Sam really pissed me off in the series *"We gotta stop calling them terrorists."* What else are we supposed to call people that engage in violent acts towards the public for sociopolitical gain? "You gotta do better Senator!" Sam has no right to criticize the Senator here, the Avengers caused the over population problem in the first place, and he himself isn't contributing to giving a solution to the problem.
I want Anthony Mackie to realize this: Those two memes are literally all I will think about when looking at him from now until the end of time. That's his legacy. That's who he is. He is essentially a finger puppet being voiced by [any teenage girl] in my view. And I am far from alone.
If a group is highly discriminatory in the targets they attack, only going after militaries and contractors supporting the military, then they aren’t terrorists.
I love that Zemo and Walker came across as the most reasonable characters, despite one being a terrorist and the other literally being hopped up on crazy super man juice.
Hell of it is, as much as the show tries to paint Walker in a bad light, he did nothing wrong, was nothing but kind and considerate, and was just fucked over by those around and above him at every turn. The writers were so shit, they set out to make a villain but ended up making a sympathetic, virtuous man who shines as a more moral person than the protagonists.
"They were told they were getting tetanus shots"? Remember how the scene played out in Captain America 1? He gets that one little regular shot, and he says, "That wasn't so bad." And Stanley Tucci says, "That was penicillin." Then he gets the 6 freakin' tubes of blue liquid pumped in all at once, sealed into a chamber and zapped with "Vita-rays" so bright that people outside the chamber had to shield their eyes from the light spilling out the small window. And all the while he's yelling out from the pain. Now imagine this playing out with these Tuskegee super soldiers. Every one of them totally buying into the notion that this was the standard procedure to battle tetanus. I mean, try to write this scene in a way that _doesn't_ play like outright parody. This would have made for an absolutely hilarious skit on something like In Living Color.
And this was pretty much right after Erskine’s death, too, so basically the _only_ part of the successful procedure they still had was the chamber (since it was intact and Howard Stark was still alive). Not using the chamber when they were still trying to recreate Erskine’s formula would be like having your car’s engine stolen and declaring that you must now build a hovercraft from scratch.
lol right, they obviously were trying to make a tuskeegee experiment reference but it makes no sense in the story. Making super soldiers just doesn't compare to the gov not treating syphilis while acting like they are. They really should just make a historical movie on tuskeegee, but I don't don't if modern media has the guts to show that part of gov healthcare.
If they had turned up, just a bit, John Walker being a hero and Falcon and Bucky bitching about him, it would have been an instant comedy. "Walker jumps through a window of a burning building, carrying 5 puppies under each arm" "Look at that prick showing off, I hate him"
Literally an Adult Swim show where the protagonist is some selfish loser and he meets a comically perfect foil and the premise of the episode is he’s just jealous and schemes to take down the actual hero who has no beef with him
This is how it was for the whole show. It's worse when you realize Walker was asking for their help every time they crossed paths, and falcon and bucky continued to act like children who didn't want to share the toy they stopped playing with.
the discussion on the stockpile of supplies reminds me of the Coca Cola bottling plant in Venezuela. Do to a sugar shortage and price controls set by the government, the plant had suspended production. In response, the government of Venezuela seized the plant and forced them to restart production, claiming that the greedy capitalist were hoarding the product. Not long after the plant ran out of its last reserves of syrup and because the country still had a sugar shortage they could nether acquire more syrup nor produce a replacement themselves and had to quietly shut down the plant.
"When Steve gave you the shield I don't think either of us understood what it meant for a black man to be Captain America. I'm sorry...." Such an INFURIATING piece of dialogue. Places like Europe and the US could, because we have a huge surplus of food, so people could survive until food production ramped up in the coming years, but the rest of the world? China and India would probably collapse overnight, since they would get the biggest spike, while a good chunk of Africa would be just... ouch. Just this premise alone (read: half the Earth's population disappears, and then returns five years later), in the hands of a good writer, would be enough for a whole series of contemporary/sci-fi books/comics/etc., but instead it was just unceremoniously swept under the rug, because the MCU just didn't want to deal with it. Probably because every "auteur" writer/director they hired wanted to tell their own pet stories, and adhering to continuity would've gotten in the way.
@@Horvath_GaborYeah, you would get an unprecedented amount of resource based civil wars in Asia alone, not to mention the number of Coups, uprisings, and oppressive Juntas in and around all the regions that were already prone to civil strife like the middle east or Latin America. At the end of the day either most of the unblipped people are going back in the grave or a lot of people that didn't get blipped would be well on their way in taking their place. @@Horvath_GaborThe smart thing to do would be the blip activating all the mutants and other dormant superpowers so they can pass it off as "We fixed the food crisis by cloning corn and chickens through eye lasers!" It's like you don't have 2x resources, entire industries and specialists have been wiped out. You have lost easily more than 50% of your production in them 5 years let alone having to deal with the aftermath on the first place I bet most people stopped going to work the instant half of all loved ones disappeared. You'd probably be up to like 10-20% production capacity if that. If nowhere in your supply chain was compromised.
You ever realize that Sam not taking the serum when there are no downsides kinda causes the premise to self destruct? It’s like “if you don’t need super strength, then why the shield, why the Stars and Stripes, why the name”.
It's like me saying "I don't need to be a Kryptonian to be Superman" because I stand by Superman's values and ideals. You know, that's a nice sentiment and all, but being able to stop trains with my face is a really useful skill, so actually yeah, gimme Supes' powers plz
Why not take the super serum when it turned a previously scrawny, asthmatic Steve into a man who can _stop a helicopter from taking off just with his bare hands?_ It's crazy that Sam didn't want that when he's already physically healthy, which means he should have had even greater gains.

Typically when people state they don't know enough about issues, they reckon they should shut up and listen. Not use that ignorance as a means lecture others on their uninformed beliefs.
Typically? When? Where? It's certainly not typical anywhere in North America (or Europe) at the present moment or in the recent past, so I'm curious what time and place you're actually referring to.
@ephraimwinslow I think you are right. When someone in the US responds to someone talking politics with "I don't know enough about it" they are almost always politely saying "I am pretty sure you are full of it and leaving out tons of context but I don't care enough to construct a rebuttal." It's not saying "I will be quiet and listen," it is saying "You should be quiet and stop hijacking this conversation with your asinine winemom-tier political views."
@fennglordd6365 "Dealing with a world-historical logistical crisis, that's gonna be pretty tough." "Actually, it's gonna be super easy, barely an inconvenience." "Oh, really?!" "Yeah, I figure they can just DO BETTER."
This show made the classic blunder - They tackled the logistics of the blip and were completely unprepared for how deep that rabbit hole goes if you take it seriously. By making the story revolve around the issues regarding space or food, the writers exposed themselves to scrutiny and failed the test. You can't pull the "oh, it's just comic books" card if you tried to take it seriously.
I like to refer to something like "narrative baggage" in storytelling, meaning you need to know the weight you'll be carrying with the concepts you bring up. You can make the easiest, most surface-level material and it can be fine as long as you deal with a subject matter that reflects it. That is much more acceptable than seeing you bumble with stuff you ultimately aren't equipped to handle.
I just finished that efap and I was surprised how little highlights/coverage was on it cause man. How John was treated despite being the better captain america, how falcon simp for the villain so badly that when she was shot by his friend who also hurt, HE PICK UP HER BODY TO MOURN FOR HER, DUDE YOUR FRIEND IS BLEEDING OUT
I love how the writers presented the issue of millions of people just suddenly reappearing but then had absolutely no idea how to figure it all out. They themselves brought this shit up only to conveniently brush it under the rug at the end 😂
Nobody said that Falcon couldn't be Captain America because of his race, but Falcon himself. He could have the shield from the beginning If he wanted to, but he decided he couldn't because he was black. Steve didn't care about that, Bucky doesn't care, Walker or Zemo don't care.
In fairness, having the politicians, administrators and economists confidently announce plans to manage resources that will never work and are utterly detached from reality is the norm in real life.
Everyone hit fringe, because BLACK FALCONS ARE NATIVE TO AUSTRALIA 🇦🇺, so maybe this american black kid....likes....idk zoo books, and see this dark skin guy with wings and was like " ITS THE BLACK FALCON!!!" and falcon came down like a dick and explained he just a REGULAR falcon, broke that poor kids heart. 😢😢😢😢😢😢 What if HE wanted to be a black falcon.......shame.
The falcon is like the USAF mascot so that might be where they got the name I guess? But that doesn't change the fact falcon/Sam Wilson is a rather Large RICHARD here with the WELL ACTUALLY kid lol
Making it Black Falcon means the trio all has 2 words in their names now. Captain America, Winter Soldier, Black Falcon. Very punchy, would’ve been good for marketing.

These shows were dogshit. Every single one. This is when I finally dipped out and stopped forcing myself to watch marvel films and shows just because my friends are in that echo chamber. All of these actors/actresses suck on and off the screen. Except for a handful who waste their acting for their shitty poorly scripted watered down marvel films and accept their paychecks while minding their own business
Being ahead of the normie curve on culture decay is a lonely fate. Consider this: is took *a full human lifetime* for the unscrupulousness of used car salesmen to become commonly known. 75 goddamn years. That's how long it takes average people to collectively learn an obvious lesson. Yeah.
Incoherent as it was, I THINK what we’re supposed to take away re: the super soldier serum SSS is that Shield was trying to replicate it from Cap’s blood (First Avenger, Civil War) but got stymied when Howard Stark was killed (dunno why, he’s not a biologist) and the samples stolen. John is dosed with whatever the government managed to recover after the Hydra infarction from their attempts to rebuild after Howard’s death. If Agents of Shield is continuity, it’ll be amongst what discount Thunderbolt Ross (characters actual name escapes me but the actor did a great job) managed to retrieve after Coleson helped him retake the Toybox. I got the impression the terrorists were using bathtub/meth lab attempts to replicate the the serum from Widow’s file dump (Winter Soldier), even though there’s already an underground version of supersoldiers from Agents of Shield… AoS was done dirty…it was kitchen and a bit shonky but they moved heaven and earth to keep continuity until Disney told them they didn’t matter…
The 5 year "blip" definitely ruined the MCU permanently. The thing about Marvel and the MCU is that is takes place on an earth that is effectively our world + super stuff. Even more than DC that has its main characters in Gotham, Metropolis, Fawcett City, Central City, etc. The key to maintaining that tone, is to keep the superheroes as separate as possible from the overall global zeitgeist. You would mostly treat superheroes and their missions like you would treat special forces, cops, and rescue workers and their missions. How many firefighters in our world can you name? How many famous marines can you name? Superheroes should not be treated like celebrities except in some cases like Iron Man who was a celebrity before he was a hero. Thor and Sam Wilson should not be recognizable in their street clothes. Remember Winter Soldier, when Cap and Natasha went around in regular clothes, undetected? Compare that to Taika Waititi making Thor immediately recognized on the street wearing regular human clothes. Remember in Iron Man 3, when Stark was recognized in California, near his home when his iron man suit was parked outside the restaurant, but he walked around unrecognized in a small midwest town... except for one Tony Stark superfan you recognized him? The 5 year blip breaks this rule of layer of separation to the utmost degree. Even with events like Avengers, and Avengers 2, most of the world is only hearing about the events and seeing crappy footage of it. With the blips, literally the ENTIRE Universe down to all animal life is DIRECTLY impacted by crazy Infinity Gauntlet magic... forever altering the MCU to be COMPLETELY different from our world. It's no longer "our world plus superheroes"... it's now a radically different world that trying desperately to maintain the tone of our present reality.
That logically wouldn't have worked. If anything, the MCU should be becoming less and less like our world. Who knows how many tons of alien tech rained down on New York. The government would have every single one of its scientists working to study and reverse engineering it. They should be pulling an x-com and equipping their soldiers with reverse engineered energy weapons. They've had the War Machine armor for even longer, so they should have power armored divisions. 10 years on from Avengers 1, the advances from that alien tech should be hitting the civilian field and drastically changing how they world functions.
Did someone explain why they blipped people back after 5 years instead of rewriting reality so that they came back only 5 days later or something like that? I know that some people had better lifes after those 5 years, but waiting 5 years seems impractical. Ofc the world has problems readjusting to it after it took 5 years to get used to onky half population. Just rewrite the past, they won't remember the fact. Yeah they may lose their significant other, but they won't remember it. Hell, just launch a second magic snap thing that makes them casually meet them some time after, if the blip erases a child, make it sk the child is eventually born again.
@@Lampoluke Or maybe wished that Thanos died right before he made it to Earth so it wouldn't affect the main timeline too much and save a lot more people.
@@Xeno_Solarus Yes. You don't lose the child. You can have them again. Either way it would be the right thing to do, which is something a hero should care about.
I really appreciate Fringy’s breakdown of how the world would be radically transformed because of the blip that is completely ignored. I honestly hadn’t thought about half of the details he brought up during the stream.
Why would anyone be racist when literally gods, aliens, and wizards are threatening the earth constantly? I'm pretty sure people would just be happy to have anyone defend them. The race messaging doesn't fit into the marvel universe. It's just extremely forced because the writer wanted it in there.
Dude ive been itchin like an ADDICT for the next hilarious EFAP Highlights vid and my fix is HERE! OFC this is a highlight, i was there live and im still gonna watch this
Kevin Feige actually shitted on their own continuity. William Hurt as General Ross said that they had been trying to recreate the Super Soldier Serum. That is what ended up helping to create Abomination.
I was so excited when I heard the announcement of this show, over time seeing each episode just showed me how dead the MCU was and did nothing but stir the rage in me. To see beloved characters be written by racist idiots who couldn’t write a book report get paid and celebrated is the reason I never pay for anything Disney branded.
hold on didnt bucky lose his arm by falling off a train on a damn mountain, hell in his flash backs it goes from zola finding him to him being on an operating table being worked on and he already has the arm
So this portion right here 6:30 was better expanded in the comic "Truth : Red , white & black " where Isaiah and his team were made in a Tuskegee experiment of black soldiers at the SAME TIME as Steve and his mission went side ways to go behind enemy lines & they were captured by the Germans and taken to THE mustache man (trying skit around the yt filters ) and after getting free basically on his own , he was imprisoned because they "feared he was compromised by that meeting ".
I would like to point out that unless the GRC is a US ran thing which would make no sense there is no way that a senator is part of that council. It would be something like an ambassador position.
If there's any pair of movies I'd just lock in a vault and pretend didn't exist I'd probably go for Captain Marvel 2. Then probably this. Poor Anthony Mackie. I had genuine hope for his character in Captain America 2.
"One world. One people." You know... Their motto reminds me of something. It's right on the tongue... Oh yeah! "Ein Volk, Ein Reich, Ein Führer!" - One Austrian not-painter.
I really hope Brave World Order opens with Harrison Ford saying "Wow, Sam, I can't believe you solved all the housing and food issues!" Sam laughs and says "Just had to do it old school" Ford laughs "I like that!" They fist bump. Nominated for Best Screenplay
Mauler actually references something very important in his Black Widow video that I’m going to parrot here regarding the cops that have the “is this guy bothering you” racism scene. Sam Wilson is more famous in their world than Anthony Mackie is in our world. The fact he isn’t recognized is genuinely absurd and a borderline plot hole for the sake of some really badly executed social commentary. Unfortunate because social commentary handled with tact and purpose could’ve fit really well in this series if they hired competent writers.
The ironically interesting thing about the black Falcon thing is that historically, Falcon was the first black superhero not to have the word black in their superhero name
3 - 6 months based on the track record. Sooner if something pisses him off. What's the next childhood show getting a pump and dump...? A modernized black Buffy oughta wake him up.
For the uninformed.....(1) Steve Rogers is about 185 years old now. He got very old and elderly and chose Sam to be his successor as the New Captain America in AVENGERS ENDGAME movie 2019. (2) In the source material/ comics, Sam became Captain America in 2014 (TEN YEARS AGO) and is still Captain America today alongside Steve Rogers in the comics. (3) Legacy characters.... 3a)... Superheroes lore has a tradition of sidekicks and LEGACY characters for OVER 50 YEARS so superheroes can and have transfered and/or given and/or shared and/or picked-up their mantle with other characters. There are an abundance in superhero-dom from Blue Beetle, Flash, Green Lantern, Spiderman, Batman, Superman, Antman, Hulk, Human Torch, Spawn, Robin, The Queston, Solar/ Doctor Solar, The Atom, Hawkgirl, Hawkman, Doctor Fate, Zorro, The Spectre, Mister Miracle, Doctor Midnite, etc and so on. They are VERY many legacy characters. 3b) ... Other than Sam Wilson becoming Captain America, there have been at least FIVE other Captain Americas other than Steve Rogers* like William Naslund, Jeffrey Mace, John Walker (currently U.S Agent in MCU after his failed Captain America stint on Falcon and Winter Soldier tv series), William Burnside and James "Bucky" Barnes/ Winter Soldier. 3c) ....Notice grifters only focus on legacy characters who are NOT White inherently implying only non-whites become legacy characters which is definitively NOT true. They make it sound like Sam Wilson is the first ever legacy character to have the mantle in order to conflate this to "DEI" Rwwaaar🤣. They *NEVER* mention the other characters who also became Captain America. Lol 3d).... Notice the same grifters demand that only the original character superhero should matter yet many of the popular superheroes are NOT the originals like.... ... Flash- Barry Allen is NOT the original Flash (Jay Garrick) ....Hal Jordan is NOT the original Green Lantern (Alan Scott) .... Ted Kord is NOT the original Blue Beetle (Dan Garrett) ... Johnny Storm of FANTASTIC FOUR is NOT the original Human Torch (Jim Hammond), .... Damian Wayne is NOT the original ROBIN (Dick Grayson, currently Nightwing and has been Batman a couple of times) .... etc and so on. (4) Red Hulk generates heat the angrier he gets. It is also his weakness if he generates too much it overwhelms him. New Cap has vibranium suit + wings + shield ( possibly rumored adamantium) which is plenty for him to drag out the fight long enough for Red Hulk/ RULK to overheat. (5) Sam has vibranium SUIT + Vibranium WINGS + Vibranium SHIELD + Adamantium also inside this movie (according to rumors). All these enhancements with such powerful materials are much STRONGER than IRONMAN's Hulkbuster armor made from ordinary materials which had NO vibranium and NO Adamantium yet Tony Stark used that to defeat an ENRAGED Hulk in Avengers 2: Age of Ultron including cracking Hulk's jaw and even tanked some hits from Hulk AND knocked a tooth out of Hulk's mouth. With those upgrades (vibranium + possible adamantium), Sam has a better chance fighting any Hulk in a dragged out combat against Red Hulk/ RULK as long as he fights smart and tactical just long enough for Sam and/or bis colleagues to to find a way to incapacitate Red Hulk/ Rulk. They have shown in the trailer how Sam's wings and suit and shield TANKING direct missiles hits without flinching and NO DAMAGE. Sam is shown using that vibranium enhancements to move FASTER THAN SOUND, making a heavy landing and TANKING sonic boom still NO DAMAGE because of the vibranium. Trailer also shows the wings can be used offensively to cut/ slice stuff like he did to the burning vehicle. They are not showing us all that in the trailer by accident. Go watch the THUNDERBOLTS trailers and see what Bucky is doing WITH HIS VIBRANIUM ARM which he can NOT do with his super soldier serum enhanced biological arm. EDIT: Additional insight on Steve Rogers age mentioned in (1)... .... He was about 90years old when he defrosted from the ice at the end of Captain America 1 movie which brought him into the modern era in 2011 then when you add Steve's modern era time in Captain America 2+3 and Avengers 1,2,3 + 4 (9 years, 2011-2019) AND when Steve time travelled back to the mid-1940s to return to his lover PEGGY CARTER then lived through 1940s to 2019 (additional 70s years at least) AND Steve's age (about mid-20s) in Captain America 1 before he got stuck in suspended animation in the ice. All adds up to about 180 years old. This is because Steve went through about 73 years 1946 to 2019 TWICE = 146 years + His years in modern era (2011-2019)= 9 years + His initial age before he got stuck in ice in mid-1940s= mid-20s perhaps 25 years old (estimate) + 5 year time jump Estimated TOTAL age (in the end of AVENGERS ENDGAME movie, 2019) = 185 years old.

Many many more would've died from the initial panic, food shortages from supply chain breakdowns, any wars that would be kicked off from that. It'd be complete chaos, they never took the blip seriously.
Sam really pissed me off in the series
*"We gotta stop calling them terrorists."*
What else are we supposed to call people that engage in violent acts towards the public for sociopolitical gain?
"You gotta do better Senator!"
Sam has no right to criticize the Senator here, the Avengers caused the over population problem in the first place, and he himself isn't contributing to giving a solution to the problem.
I want Anthony Mackie to realize this:

Hell of it is, as much as the show tries to paint Walker in a bad light, he did nothing wrong, was nothing but kind and considerate, and was just fucked over by those around and above him at every turn.
This would have made for an absolutely hilarious skit on something like In Living Color.
wdym, I've done lots of shots, all the time it was a literal crazy inventor lab with sparks and shieet flying. Am I a superman now?
Don't torment yourself by pointing out how far the continuity (one of the strengths of the MCU's initial run) has fallen. It's an exercise in misery.

Forget housing, you can't FEED 5 billion people being unblipped from one day to the next after 5 years of production being reduced

In this house, John Walker is a hero

John Walker is my Captain America 🇺🇸
Did someone explain why they blipped people back after 5 years instead of rewriting reality so that they came back only 5 days later or something like that? I know that some people had better lifes after those 5 years, but waiting 5 years seems impractical. Ofc the world has problems readjusting to it after it took 5 years to get used to onky half population. Just rewrite the past, they won't remember the fact. Yeah they may lose their significant other, but they won't remember it. Hell, just launch a second magic snap thing that makes them casually meet them some time after, if the blip erases a child, make it sk the child is eventually born again.

Lol
3d).... Notice the same grifters demand that only the original character superhero should matter yet many of the popular superheroes are NOT the originals like....
... Flash- Barry Allen is NOT the original Flash (Jay Garrick)
....Hal Jordan is NOT the original Green Lantern (Alan Scott)
.... Ted Kord is NOT the original Blue Beetle (Dan Garrett)
... Johnny Storm of FANTASTIC FOUR is NOT the original Human Torch (Jim Hammond),
.... Damian Wayne is NOT the original ROBIN (Dick Grayson, currently Nightwing and has been Batman a couple of times)
.... etc and so on.
EDIT:
Additional insight on Steve Rogers age mentioned in (1)...
This is because Steve went through about 73 years 1946 to 2019 TWICE = 146 years
+ His years in modern era (2011-2019)= 9 years
+ His initial age before he got stuck in ice in mid-1940s= mid-20s perhaps 25 years old (estimate)
+ 5 year time jump
Estimated TOTAL age (in the end of AVENGERS ENDGAME movie, 2019) = 185 years old.
From the thumbnail I thought this was a Yakub thing
