kind of disappointed that saga will never be mainstream. it's unbelievable how underrated this comic is. so beautiful and smart and comic that completely captivated me. if you haven't read it yet, then you are missing out on a lot.

They've never had a successful comic run in their own in the history of the characters. How is it like Saga? To be honest Brian Vaughan and Fiona Staples might be low key down to do a movie or show adaptation in the future. Brian says no now, but I feel like they want to focus on completing the story and conclude it all together before moving the franchise forward to a much larger audience. I dont mind that there arent any adaptations atm, because preproduction is a hell of a procress and the authors have to meet with scripwriters constantly; sacrificing their own time from finishing the actual comic story. Thats what happened to George RR Martin.
The Man Called Sting I always thought a telltale game, set within the universe with new characters and story could work, a la Tales from the borderlands
he never said never... on the back cover of volume 1 he is quoted as saying they are open to it, but it is not a priority. I see the series ending before literally any adaptation will be made. some fact checking is a good thing...
sadly none of BKV's comic series have had success on tv..... and a Saga TV or movie series will cost an arm and leg for the studios to make, so high doubt they will make it even if BKV changes his mind down the line.
This comic will go down as the best Comic of all time, eventually supplanting Watchmen in terms of popularity by a wide margin. And it will all be because an eventual mediocre TV show will come out, drawing fans to the comic to spoil it for themselves at the end of each season. (I really hope they go with animation)
Man, I just got 2 copies of issue 1 back from cgc graded at 9.8 and still have 1 raw copy. It would be my luck to find out they are making some kind of show right after flipping one of them as the news would surely drive the price up on them.
I sure as hell would've rather a Saga show have gotten the money that Star Trek Discovery did. With shows like Legion and American Gods this past year, the right creative team and show runner could make this the best adaptation ever. Netflix, HBO even Showtime, basically a company that isn't afraid of the sexuality this book brings. The way the books are written would work very well episodically imo. But I don't want a dumbed down, or half the best characters cut out motion picture, that wouldn't do this amazing book justice. Just as Watchmen and Y are often considered in the top 100 works of modern literature, Saga should be as well.

It don't always has to be Netflix, Adult Swim can do it, Hulu is trying to step up their game in streaming, and Amazon if they were smart.
