The History of Mahishadal Raj Bari dates back to the 16th Century when the current place “Geokhali” was known as “Jibonkhali”.

Mahishadal Rajbari-A great place to be cheated.Did u visit in Durga Puja time?They offer bhog at a price 350₹ pp.,cost of which not more than 40₹.Taste? You will get better taste in any jhupri hotel on roadside.
A complete package of cheat.Everyone should avoid this place.They are shameless.
জন্মদিন মনে রেখে শুভেচ্ছা রইল। আপনাদের এই রুচিসম্মত উপস্থাপন আপনাদের সুন্দর যৌথতার সঙ্গেই দীর্ঘজীবী হোক।
ইটাচূনা সত্যিই অসাধারণ। তবে এটি ও রাজবাড়ি হিসেবে বেশ চর্চিত। বসু পরিবার নামক একটি বাংলা ঁসিনেমার শুটিং হয়েছে এখানে। যে ঘর দেখেছি সেটা নিশ্চয়ই রাত্রি বাস করলে মেলে। আপনার review একেবারে ঠিক। খরচ তুলনায় বেশি। আর একটু যত্ন নিলে এটাই day trip এ আদর্শ হয়ে উঠতে পারে। মন্দিরের অংশ দুর্দান্ত।
যাইহোক, শুভ জন্মদিন! আনন্দে থাকবেন। 🙏

Video was enjoyable; nice details about the place; however, the rave review about Itachuna is debatable. I’ve been there, in one of the best rooms called “Jathamoshai”. My sister stayed in one of the pond side cottages. The main building room was well furnished as is very common in all Rajbari type establishments. Everything else seemed just average! The staircases, the 1st floor long corridors were full of junk in a corner …. What we were really disappointed about was The Dining room! It is a tiny room, with a few 4/6 seater tables, absolutely devoid of any regal opulence or elegance. No chandelier, silk curtains or high ceilings as we see in this mansion in your video. The Thakurbari Aarti in the evening was nice. But there was NO green space in Itachuna. Just entering through the gate and concrete parking on the side and the building. This Rajbari has a beautiful lawn area… there is greenery around the Rajbari, couple of annex buildings, and gives an overall feel of serenity and greenery. In Itachuna, the access to the cottages is very unimpressive, dark in the evening, narrow path… just not anything royal. So, we weren’t that impressed with Itachuna.

Itachuna and Mahishadal Rajbari both are maintained by same officials, but there's a lot of difference... maintenance is very poor here... dropped the idea of visiting this place. Itachuna is better and Bawali is grand !!
