Matya 2080 - Haktwa Manka Khala Pictorial

One of the major festivals of Newar community, Matya sees thousands of people of all ages and numerous music groups in different attires where they travel throughout the city visiting all the Chivas. It's usually a whole day walk and pays tribute to all the souls that have made to heaven in the past year. Here this video shows the travel of the music group from Haktwa Mankha Khala as they walk around with music and dance from participating individuals.
