As someone uptodate with Mega, its widley known main retailers like Target stopped carrying Halo Mega because it apparently wasnt selling well. The only places you might find sets in stores are in drugstores or the latter unfortunately
I just got this set and I noticed something that no one has talked about in any of these reviews, the two marines have different colors of printing. One marine has grey printing on his helmet and boots that matches the color on Johnson, Stacker, and the Universe series 2 marine. The other marine, for whatever reason, has black printing on her helmet and boots, which doesn't match any of the other Halo 3 style marines that Mega has made recently. I've gone back and watched a number of people's reviews on this set, and everyone has this exact same thing with the two marines, where one has grey printing and the other has black printing, but I've not seen anyone bring this up.
I just went back and looked at that. Had no idea but you are 100% right there are two different colors. I honestly have no idea what it is meant to represent. I wonder if it's an error or something intentional?
Man, I remember seeing the original mega elephant on store shelves back in the day and I wanted it so badly but my parents couldn’t afford it. I’m so glad I was able to pick up this set.
my only issues with this set is I wish the crane was more brick-built(I dont really blame them for just having a single piece for it, but I'd be ok sacrificing detail for more building), and I wish it was easier to access the bottom section with the screen. I got big-ass hands so it's hard for me to put figures/vehicles down there without partially taking the set apart. Other than those two minor things, I absolutely love how this set turned out, and I love taking it off my shelf to play with it
I couldn't get over the gaps and spaces between set bricks. They weren't hard to spot either. Maybe Mega could get more consistent with their block quality or maybe some of these issues could be solved by better build techniques. Lego would have used more long plates and probably some large tiles to keep things anchored together. Looking over some more of the mega catalogue, it looks like an action figure company with some light building elements. Some of the Halo vehicle pieces are enormous. I think that's Mega strong suit. It can offer what Lego won't and it's figures may not look out of place with other stuff kids might play with.
This isn’t due to build technique or poor quality in the blocks themselves. This is purely because he was being lazy while building it. I have a wide variety and i do not have a single gap in any of mine but that because I’m very thorough when I’m building my legos.
Also I added the turrets from the red team that I also got into this and I may make a brick built LEGO turret on this or maybe just the build from the New 501st battle pack
It is sad to see mega especially halo less and less on shelves. Sadly I think halo’s popularity is declining and the games aren’t picking up steam right now. But hopefully we get a come back eventually!
@@eater_of_beans7114 everyone has a different opinion, but that doesn't even look like one so no, they are not, and never would be,perhaps in playability.Mega has sets are more for the community than just for name brand and placing sets on the shelf, yes that's is modern lego problem, but if star wars sets were as good as Lego Horizon Zero Dawn sets in detailing, it wouldn't have a match to anybody.
the playability on this set is amazing
So true
there's no megablocks at any of my stores here in my hometown its all lego
Hopefully they’ll make a comeback!

Amazon has a sale on it
Heard of Amazon?
Internet?😂
The uneven turret and hair stuck in it drives me crazy
Hahah they slip by me sometimes
Just casually running over Lord Hood apparently...

@MrWoodyYT It must be intentional because every single Elephant set has this exact same discrepancy.

Thanks for watching!
If only i could afford
One day luco, one day
mega blocks always look like theyre barely staying together to me like theres tiny gaps between certain pieces
Fair, this one definitely had some pieces like that. Lately most of mine have held up very nicely.

Fair point there are gaps at times but honestly I love having giant pieces especially when I brick build just will not get the right curves 🤷🏻♂️

As someone who built this, I built that (and my hands hurt afterwards)
I had this problem too, something was up with the pieces I will agree
@MrWoodyYT I genuinely couldn't use my thumbs for a couple hours afterwards, and my hands were red for two days
I got this from crimmah better than the AT-AT and and gunship, I’m biased to the AT-TE so I can’t say
Also I added the turrets from the red team that I also got into this and I may make a brick built LEGO turret on this or maybe just the build from the New 501st battle pack
That could be fun, hope we get to see it!
yeah sadly mega is getting harder to find due to lego buying out the shelf space

Still sucks. Set doesnt even look good. Still poor quality. Still a copy-cat.
Rough take :(
Sad to see people think this, when the sets are very good quality and probably even better than Lego sets. Figures are better too.
I love this set lol
