The most heart warming thing about the baby elephant's love of the water is her mother's presence at all times and you don't even realize how much it's warming your heart until you think about it.
I am so grateful for what you do and provide! I think that the elephants that are growing up in the environment that you are giving them is actually evolving them on many levels, especially with their interactions with loving caring humans (or is it they that are helping us to evolve?) I do not think that elephants in the wild are afforded this type of freedom to express their multifaceted personalities. Extraordinary opportunities abound! BRAVO 👏👍🥰

I worry about microchips ‘traveling’ -it has happened to dogs and the result was not advantageous to the animal. So put a chip in the babies and put the abusers in prison .

They *can travel under the skin and cause problems. Those are not healthy, and they don't make the differences claimed. It's not a choice, it's mandated, so this discussion is useless, except that people need to research and learn what they don't understand about them.
I remember a small baby from a few years ago was really going nuts in a pool like this one, dk if it was a boy or girl, but it was just relentless with it’s play, throwing itself around. Finally, the mother got very exasperated with the baby, and picked the pool up, dumping the baby and water on the ground, then flipping the pool out of the way! I could almost hear the mother saying, “Enough!!!”
Even though it looks like struggling, it does seem like a form of play for young Ellie's is setting themselves up for mobility challenges like the tub. I love seeing her agility even though still such a baby, in a place where she can learn how to navigate all the natural terrain and develop a strong physique for when she move into the wilder habitat someday.

I’ve been watching videos from this channel but also Herd elephant orphanage. I feel like the elephants on these videos are in a captive zoo like atmosphere where they are constantly surrounded by humans. Whereas if you see the elephants on the channel Herd elephant orphanage they all seem much happier and in their regular natural habitat travelling together in herds through the grass and trees. Just my opinion. I know both are doing the best they can for the elephants, working hard and providing the best care possible. Also I’m not hating I hit the like button on this video and others from this channel. Thanks for the content.
I am no expert, but the situation in both places is different. In Africa, they are taking care of young orphaned elephants, with hopes to get them out and into the wild again. In Thailand Lek and Darrick are rescuing often much older , and often seriously injured elephants who have had to work and been treated very badly often for years. There the elephants are having a retirement where they can at last be at peace and be elephants. It seems to me in BOTH places they are doing a magnificent job....but it's not exactly the same one.

The chip is supposed to help against poaching baby elephant's to sell to other countries or riding camp's it's a small step in the illegal business.

Bath time is the best. When my sons were toddlers, all the splashing and frolicking was great fun. Turns out elephant toddlers think so, too.
