You can be black, indian, coloured, pink, blue, anything as long as you speak Afrikaans or want to learn in Afrikaans you're welcome. Stop being jealous. If you want to have your own mother tongue universities, go for it. Nobody is stopping you. You will even have the tax-payer's help. Too bad the the ANC ain't up to scratch...

The reality is that 'n boer maak 'n plan. Iets long have our children been dependant on government who cannot provide? When you blink your children is all grown up an become part of a 30% unemployment statistic because everyone hoped somebody would do something and in the end nobody did what anybody could have done. By then it's too late... Well-done Solidarity - I salute and support you 150%.

Yes, in much the same way as an Afrikaans kid is forced to learn in English and is expected to learn English well enough at school to study at an English university! It's not about race, it's about language and culture. Some kids are failing because of the language barrier, they're not failing a subject, it's the language they can't fully communicate in so this initiative allow a you to do it in the language you are confident in and may then excel at it! Others shouldn't be envious and criticize, learn from an already established idea/ concept and start it for your own community/ culture/ language speaking people.

Do the French not do business with other countries??? They have French learning institutions but their companies still do business with other countries and communicate in English internationally... all other countries have educational institutions teaching in their countries official language... we have 11, We should teach in 11 then. Afrikaans is one of them. This Indian lady should rather be asking her government why out of the 11 languages there isn't an Indian language listed as an official language too.

If you read more about Sol-Tech, you will learn that companies are actually on waiting lists to get these students. Not Afrikaans companies, even BEE companies. Because they need technical skills. Sol-Tech has a pass rate of 96%. Compare that with the pass rate of state colleges of 30%... The language of instruction in those colleges are English (almost everyone's second language). Need one say anything more to stress the value of mother tongue education? If you learn something in your own language, you can apply it in any language.

Like he said. Raise funds and build your owns institution.. They will help with with what they have seen works. But no.... lets make this a racial issue because the majority of south africans wait for handouts and want to be spoon fed. How many public schools unde Lesufi is actualy successful. Not many because of affermative action they employ teachers with a 30% passrate to teach. So teaching a child 30% of what the teacher knows shows why the pass rate is so low.

To unite a country is to to unite in one language and progressive people understand this, and therefore I take my daughter to school and she learns in English but at home she learns Zulu. No culture lost, or the eradication of the Zulu language.
The Government must consider giving Orania to white Afrikaners who care more about segregation and white supremacy.
The rest of us people, let's continue to fight the ruling party, we will litigate, we will protest, we will vote.

@@craigrsa8565 I lived in the Netherlands and took Dutch lessons, one thing I understood that countries are united through Language and Culture. I'm not racist, but if some of the whites here in SA who don't want to commit to a common uniting language then they deserve their own country. Afri Forum can engage with SA Government to make Orania independent, I mean they have their own fake currency anyways and this school belongs there. We have Lesotho and Swaziland, these countries could have been absorbed in SA but chose independence. Similarly countries in Europe segregated into smaller countries through language and culture. AfriForum are like feminists, want the power of men with responsibility of children. Meaning, they want an Afrikaner state with SA and also have economic benefits of SA. Take the harder route, be real men and form your own country.
