- Best Of Boris Johnson Hosting HIGNFY! 'Have I Got News For You'
Ian Hislop and Paul Merton had a lot of fun in these classic episodes of HIGNFY where the now infamous Tory MP Boris Johnson hosted the show. I don't think any of the panel would of anticipated the controversial legacy he went on to have from his time as Prime Minister in 2019 to 2022.

I always maintained that Boris was game show host material.
Boris is very funny on HIGNFY, but as PM he was just something else.
And he was our PM, what a bizarre world. A bloke who was excellent on tv but had no idea about running a country.
Politics aside, there is a saying, "they can dish it out but can they take it?"
Boris takes all that is thrown his way, with a smile, and I've never even seen him dish any out, as far as I can remember. Paul and Ian like him because they can wind up their best shots and know that he will take it on the chin and not get butt-hurt.
He makes me laugh, nice upload :-)
The man is a politician and is on television. You don't think he's seething inside and deciding not to let his anger out? He had a cheese and wine party during the covid lockdown, then denied it vehemently until the police found out he was lying and fined him. He decided to be an ardent leaver (In the Brexit referendum) purely because it was the opposite of David Camerons view. The man was fired from the times in 1988 for publicly lying, then was sacked as vice-chairman and shadow arts minister for publicly lying. Don't politics aside one of the biggest cunts the UK has ever had in parliament.
Never fails to make me laugh when Boris goes, Weeeehhhhheeeehhhhheeeeyyyyeeeheh
This hasn't aged well. Johnson criticising Labour for (allegedly) taking cash and gifts for peerages.
Ian making a joke about Boris being Prime Minister one day.....reporting on Labour relaxing licensing laws, this being the week LBC falsely claimed Starmer was going to reverse the move
never thought anything about boris until i saw this and really found him entertaining
10out of 10 Boris what a sport and amusing too 🤣🤣🤣👏👏👏👏
Maitlis is stunning here
Imagine how quick witted he would have had to have been to have matched them😂😅
he was the best PM the Tories ever managed, they really shot themselves in the foot getting rid of them lol... then they lost to a plank of wood no-one knew anything about, but just were fed up with the Tories swapping their characters around
i mean i like the Tories did this but haha, they didn't realize how valuable he was... personally i really liked partygate the most as it helped to loosen the covid restrictions and all the bullshit people where selling
The fact your vote counts the same as everyone else’s is genuinely concerning
Love him or hate him, you can't deny he is unquestionable funny and can take a joke, unlike many others.
Certainly hate him running a country. Funny on tv though
About as funny as Jimmy saville
And even after this and another time he was the presenter ...... You made him your PM.
That comment didn't age well!
I don't want to get into politics, but as an entertainer, few can beat Boris. He's a great sport, very funny and also very knowledgeable. I can't think of any other politician who would allow themselves to be joked about with. Thumbs up to Boris.
It’s amazing how two people who have just watched the exact same thing can come to two completely different conclusions. He was and still is a blithering Buffoon, I didn’t see any evidence in that video (or any other time for that matter) where he has shown any real, useful, practical knowledge, especially when you consider his supposed education. As for funny, the term “laughing stock” has never fitted a person more so.
Fortunately, these traits have finally caught up with him and he has been proven to be a lying fraud. Unfortunately, he had all ready done the damage by then.
Politician/entertainer same thing now.
@@hobocat33 True!
Yeah so was Hitler
Yeah, Hitler was a good laugh at times
Boris missed his vocation! :)
23:02 the best joke of the whole 24 mins right at the end
We've had clown prime ministers for 15+ years. Send help.
Well, we've this orange guy we can spare...
LMAO
The US currently has nobody to spare. Too bad the UK rejected Europe.
Don’t get me wrong Blair, Brown, Cameron, May and Sunak (and now Starmer so it seems) were ‘clowns’ but Johnson and Truss were CLOWNS. There is a big difference.
@@Shmillard What did Gordon Brown do?
@@buolindo8795 Other than selling most of the country’s gold reserves just before the price of gold skyrocketed and treating the public with contempt?
Not only is Mr Johnson good at turning a pancake over, without a spatula, He's brilliant at throwing a dice and chucking a coin in the air, for people to guess which side it will land on.. I can't think of a word for someone with these skills though.. Can anyone else?
Tosser?
The man who deposed Coco as the biggest clown on the planet.
Before he run the country, lol
With his hair combed, he almost looked dapper.😁
He's the definition of a Twit
Upper class twit a la the Monty Python sketch
What year? Im guessing 2006
The host barely had a chance to make a fool of himself before the panel of professional comedians could make his point sclear for the audience.
It always amazes me when people attribute Boris Johnson’s erstwhile popularity to him being funny and charming. Even before I actually met him in person, I thought he was tedious, dull, and infantile. When I did meet him properly it was even worse. There’s a difference between being urbane and likeable, and doing a half-arsed impression of it. He is a terrible conversationalist and a fucking nuisance to get rid of at parties.
Never met him, but having seen his politics I always feel a little bit of sick in my mouth when I have to admit he can be pretty funny on this show.
@@PlutoPhobia-y7r A solid rebuttal... that makes zero sense on an intellectual or grammatical level, but presumably had some kind of driving force behind it.
I quite liked him before he was Major of London and had actual power to abuse. He'd have be OK if he'd never got anywhere near the Prime Minister's chair.
{:o:O:}
yeah he is a prick .... and foe him to say 'i'm recklessly honest' is a kick in the teeth.... underneath all that BS is a morrally corrupt man with no semblence of personal integrity. he acts like a fool but made a fool of everyone who voted for him ..... and the sick tories want him back ??? nadine dorries should marry him - they make the perfect couple
Best PM the UK ever had. He was better than the now two tier kier star
Get help.
24:22 😂
Boris is an awful politician but a comic genius 😂😂
So when is the invasion and did you forget the medway?
- a Dutchy
This guy hosting is the worst example of English populism.
It was funny in these days
