Thank you for bringing this course live to people around the world, i started with previous available lectures just few weeks ago but knowing that i can watch the latest lectures live is so wonderful. I will be following new lectures from now on.
I have watched the first lecture and it was amazing , Truly it builds your fundamentals strong and it is from scratch makes you a better problem solver
I will complete the course this time- sep 4 2024. I want to come back to this comment. Great session btw privileged to have a chance to watch this live.
It's never too late. Remember that foundations are always important so course like CS50 is great place to start. However, if you'd like to get a job as a programmer there is long way ahead of you. It'll be hard, require lot's of work and the competition is huge right now. If you want to learn it as a hobby or just for future self then it's great idea. If you'd like to land a job after half of a year - it'll be almost impossible at the moment. But every hard moment in the market like this is followed with better one, so skill up as much as you can. 🤞🏻💪🏻
Still an amazing course after all of these years. I'm aiming this time though to complete the course. Firstly by completing the easier problem sets and then moving on to the harder ones. 😅 Side-note: shout-out to Max (47:41). Great to see a fellow UK (and from London) student at Harvard. Amazing achievement!
@@maxblackbourn641 Glad to hear it mate. Best of luck to you! I can only think that if you could get into Harvard, you would've been an Oxbridge student quite easily! 🙂

I think you should include lectures on github and assembly. Also, a bit concerning with all the candies, oreos, and highly processed sugar stuff at every break of every lecture. What's wrong with fruit or sandwiches?

I know the course is set to update on edX in January 2025, but is there a way to register for the current live-streamed version and submit assignments now? Thanks in advance for any help!
If you sign up and do the 2024 problem sets your progress will carry over to 2025 if you don't finish by Dec. 31st. So if you want to get started go for it! I don't think the lectures will be too terribly different if you prefer to view the current live versions

44:22 How does the computer distinguish between binary data like 01000001 being interpreted as the number 65 or as the character 'A'?
Software usually interprets such bytes and converts them into what they actually mean. This technology is called an interpreter lol
