Honestly I feel like there are so many things that could have happened with this

Theory: Zane was put there by master wu BC he was kind of damage and master wu needed to fix him and put him in there so when the time is right you can call the ninjas to get him out.
Theory 2: he accidentally just got in there for some reason.
Theory 3: he needed a place to stay when he woke up after the merge but and he saw that so he went in BC he's like "this must be abandoned or not working anymore" and "boom!" got trapped inside

my theory was the exact same as you. only that I thought they removed some life part of him, bc in the dr he's not zane, just a robot. :(

I gonna say Pixal put Zane in the stasis pod after the Merge. Zane could never done it all by himself stay in the pod and woke up. But after discovering more about the Merge, the Ninja, Master Wu and Pixal landed in separate locations. So I don’t think Pixal could never have done that. Can’t wait for Season 3 to see Pixal, Jay and Master Wu. Who knows where Pixal ended up after the Merge? I hope season 3 will finish up Dragons Rising and move to a different season.
