SuJu have been my fav group since 2017 when I got into Kpop but they managed to surprise me with this. It came out shortly before Christmas at the time. For me it's like a mini Kpop Nutcracker Suite. Agree about the simplicity and intensity. They did this live as an intro at their last full concert in 2023, Super Show 9. It began with them being strung up with red elastic bands like marionettes. One of their members Shindong directed this video and other Eunhyuk directs their concerts. The leader Leeteuk is my bias and together with the other two he's the main brains.You might also like to checkout the song that was "advertised" in the intro "Raining Spell for Love" (live remake version).

the member who has the greyish hair looks like anime is Yesung.. yes he is always looks like an anime character... you are right they all have the different voice tone.
Actually there are 9 members in this video. You can only see 8 members from start. But in 8:01, the 9th member, Heechul, showed up. He was involved in car accident years ago that broke his leg. It has limited his ability to dance or doing any heavy physical activities. But he still involves in singing in their every album. He is opting out of the dancing part

Super Junior never took a hiatus for military enlistment. With many members, they just staggered their enlistment so the rest of the group who aren’t enlisted can still produce albums and do tours. They have been active the whole 20 years.
As for the 9th member, he’s in the video but he was injured in 2006 but was made to keep dancing while in recovery, he’s now always in pain if he dances. They now arrange the song so he just comes in for a part of the song. He was the first singer in the bridge of Burn the Floor.
The Super junior must check their Live performance....Super Show (their concert)even amazing than you can imagined.....

They never stopped promoting even when they were in the military. It took the group 10 years for all the members to complete their mandated 2 years service. During that time the lineup just kept changing but they never stopped promoting. Super Junior has released music or something every single year of their career. They have over 700 songs in their Discography. And it's not just the group SuJU but its 6 subunit. They have music for everyone.

fun fact:
1. video was directed by Shindong, one of the member (the chubby one). He is also a video director for a lot of MV and other idol group videos.
2. the high note La La La towards the end is a sample of ryeowook's voice (one of the member with higher voice colour). A lot of SJ members are musical artists and can sing different techniques, esp the vocal line.
3. the 9th member Heechul appeared towards the end of the video, before the lalalala part (the one walking under the light singing softly). Because of his injuries he cant really dance anymore, with all the metal rods inside his leg and years of pushing himself to perform with SJ. he has been doing limited dancing even in concerts for quite a long time (usually opted to instead play a drum or do other acts) but I think with age his injuries are finally taking a toll on him.

A very important piece of information about Super Junior is that they are better live than MV and they are always inventing new dances and different melodies for their songs. I advise you to watch burn the floor live in SS9 because they modified the dance a little and the meaning of SS (super show) which is the name of their concert and Super Junior in all their concerts. They sing live, even if the choreography is difficult.
As for the ninth member, he is present in this video, but he does not even dance at their concerts. He did not come for 4 or 5 years because he was exposed to a severe accident in 2006, which led to his leg being broken very badly, and because he did not care about his health much, and after the operation he returned to work for a very short time. He worked and did not rest well. His injury worsened, and as he grew older, things began to become more and more difficult for him, even though he loved dancing and singing, and his injury reached the point where the doctor told him that if you continued dancing, you would become paralyzed, but he promised that next year he would attend the twentieth anniversary concert, and that Now he is training himself for it.

Oh, they never rested even when members went to military. They started that trend that 1-2 members enlist and the others stay active. That's why when you watch their releases between 2009-2019, 1-2 members were not there. The only hiatus they did was when 3 members enlisted almost the same time.

If you go from Showtime to the masterpiece Burn the floor is hard to believe it's the same guys!
They really took advantage of having many members so they took turns going to the MS, that's why they almost never had to stop (only briefly when they were down to 4 active members). Also having to cover for each other help them develop their talents, they had to fill in the gaps so that the audience will never feel like something was missing.
The high notes is Ryeowook, his song It's OK, show what he can do vocally, he's the smallest in SJ but has a powerful voice, The Little Prince is his most well known song.
I would say now that you had the preview you could do Raining spell for love (the remix live version) it shows all of their lovely voices, and you'll hear the 9 members. They are still 9, but as they said 1 of them was badly injured and he can't always participate, so he keeps his parts to a minimum to make it easier for the other members to cover in concerts and live presentations.

yes, they'll celebrate 20 yrs nxt yr..their oldest members (2) will turn 41 next month..the youngest turned 36 last Feb..9 memvers r active.. technically, there r still 10 members but 1 is inactive in group actvties .but active in solo..bcoz of his surprise marriage in 2014..u know, lot of fans were not accepting about it..he enlisted aftr & sjnce then, even aftr discharge, he ddn't ckme back in the grp..
They originally debuted w/ 12 members in 2005, 1 yr later, Kyuhyun, 13th member was added.. they r d 1st grp to establish sub-unit ckncept in kpop w/ Super Junior K.R.Y. (Kyuhyun, Ryeowook, Yesung) ballad/ vocal unkt consisting yhe 3 main vocals..btw, Yesung is the one who looked like an anime & did the adlibs u mentioned at the ending..they have 6 sub-units throughout..but only 3 r remaining active..K.R.Y. , D&E, L.S.S. - each letter represents the initial of each member.. There are 9 members in this song,, but 1 one of them didn't join the dance performance his name is heechul,, he is the one in 8:01. he do not join the dance performance because of his previous accident,, he can dance but he cant have the intense practice,, so he only have a small part in every song.
Super Junior is the craziest group in kpop but also has the best main vocal line in kpop together with EXO. Super Junior K.R.Y. is the main vocal line of Suju and is actually the first ever sub-unit of a group in kpop. Like, they started that trend in kpop.
