It’s soooooooooooo easy to fix this. Just have a name that is “close” to redskins and have the old feather as the logo. Everyone is happy.

Again...with this. When washington agreed to change their name and likeness , part of the process of choosing a name was consultation from a native american advisory commission formed to assist and provide guidance. The washington franchise then in 2020 -2022 were informed by the commission to stay away from anything remotely connected to native american iconography or names. They were told specifically, for example, to stay far away from warriors as a name. So, no feathers, no old name, nothing like that. So no it's not "easy" for the team to come back a few years later and cross native Americans again. They will be protested against. They will cause another pr problem the league doesn't want. Advertising boycott could come as well. So it's not easy and it won't happen
Yep. Add to that... the Putin-Style meaningless vote that we the Fans participated in.... and Red Wolves won out by something like an 85% vote. Over-whelming. So what do we wind up with? The Commies. A Lam-A$$ name that Little Danny and Ronnie came up with, since you know... Riverboat's Daddy was in the military. I think Danny was MIA and didn't care any more, since he was on the way out. And he let Ronnie drive it home and screw us one last time. Change it!!! And yeah - how easy would it have been? Something that rolls off the tongue in a similar fashion. They don’t decide what a team wants to call themselves. There are just as many groups out there that totally supported the old name.

I have several friends who are Washington fans but live in other parts of the country and they all have said that the fans of other teams in those areas all refer to Washington now as the Communists across the board. Winning is not going to change that nor will it cause me to warm up to the name. It can't be changed soon enough in my opinion.

They were originally were the Braves and only changed to Redskins when they moved to play their games in Fenway Park and football teams took the name of the football team whose stadium they played in, ergo the “Red.” They should go back to Braves.
