I absolutely love this show. I have every season at home and watch an episode or a clip on youtube everytime i am lonely or down. It makes me smile and feel their joy, love and friendship.
The only thing i "hate" but at the same time love about it, is that it has ended in 2004. I regret being born on the other side of the world and being so young when it ended. I would be the happiest to come to the taping of the show. See the magic happen in person. Laugh, smile and cry with them. This is what makes me sad about this show. It has already ended. And I will never have the opportunity to see the Friends taping.
But at the same time... Thinking it ended 12 years ago. 12 years!! And it is still going strong! Young people are discovering it right now and the whole concept of the show is still on point. It will never get old. They created a show that will last for ever. The writers, the producers, the guys in the background, the cameramen, the make up artists, the hairdressers and of course the actors. They have created a masterpiece. Thank you for that!

It is easy to understand how you think about it. I was born in 1994, literally *months* before the first episode was shown on television. And I was only starting to get an interest in the show back in season eight as an 8-year old. For the fans who were old enough to watch the very first episode or season and then continue to follow it have the biggest share of respect to me. That throughout these 9-10 years they have always been there for the six actors and allowing Jennifer, Courteney, Matt, Matthew, David and Lisa to make their dream come true, which was to *entertain* millions of people and put a smile on their faces whenever they were down or not.
It does make it difficult to comprehend sometimes, especially when you watch one of the several clips on TH-cam out there today, in 2018, and then *realize* that some of the scenes you see were made in 1996, '97 or 2000 and that is simply been that long ago. Great shows will *never* leave their legacy behind. And it was the best way for the show to come to an end with dignity, pride and honor. The reason why it had to come to an end as it did tragically. Because you were seeing that the show was starting to make less *sense* as it were progressing, especially after the birth of the child of Rachel & Ross and subsequently forcing her character into this unnatural fling with Joey which we knew was never going to work and the actors and several scriptwriters came to object. It would have gone downhill with *quantity* taking over *quality* when you compare it to the first couple of seasons.
Therefore, even though I hate to admit it sometimes, but the show came to an end at the right time during the right moment. Especially when the: _"I got off the plane"_ moment and the following: _"Okay, it is just you and me. This is it."_ hit you right in the guts and knowing everything would be alright from that moment on.
Matthew Perry didn't utter a word in this segment of the interview.. but the man's expressions were spot on for every other cast member's words spoken and their respective emotions expressed. Such is his caliber and capability as a stage performer ..

Seriously, I would love to know what the characters *would* be doing now. It would be so cool to see how their lives are like as mid-40 adults living away from the city. Would they still keep in touch regularly, what they work as now, how their children are, how many children they have, does Gunther still work at Central Perk?
I know they're fictional, but I still try to imagine some form of 'life' for the characters after the show ended. That's how 'real' the characters felt to me. All so true to themselves, so relatable and lovable. I wish it didn't end ;-;

honestly best show ever ;-; can't believe it ended 13 years ago, it's still so relevant today. there will never be a better show. the characters just matched each other so well, there was chemistry, and they were true to themselves. I love F.R.I.E.N.D.S and wish they were real life characters! So loveable and nice :') Wish it continued today because they are a huge part of my life... you really get to know the characters after 10 seasons.
But I'd love to find friends as supportive and close and honest as they were. I know it's a TV show, but the fact that each character went through struggles the average person had - like rachel becoming independent and trying to get a job, and then watching her succeed throughout her 20s. it's relevant and inspiring.
I never watch the final episode of season 10, prolly never will. I have repeated the whole thing over the years but never the last episode. I watch them every day since forever. :')
jacqualine may chan : you and me both, I haven't seen the last episode and never will. I grew up watching Friends and I can always go back and watch them and to me they are still somewhat alive and still living in NYC!
Thanks for sharing. Many times they helped me go through certain periods in my life so I share your sentiment! I hope the rest of the casts will also star in as many projects as Jennifer.

Jennifer Aniston was the one who ended the show. She was getting a lot of movie roles and she actually tried to end it in Season 9 but Courtney convinced her to stay one more year. All others would have stayed at least 2 more years.
AAD I doubt that, because in the last interview with the cast (in 2004), Jennifer said that she wants to continue with it and that she doesn't want it to end.
Sweet Sofia She was getting offered tons of movies. She said because all the fans were upset. There were multiple reports that she wanted to end it at season 9 and she even said it in an interview that Courtney persuaded her to stay one more year.

Rumor has it, it was Lisa who ended it. But no one apart from them, truly knows who decided to stop doing the show.

Jennifer Aniston in real life has brown hair too, since that is her natural color and *not* blond. Not really matters that blond looks good on her, but only in the very first episode you were able to see what her real hair was like.

The end made it beautiful, it added an emotional attachment. Look at big bang theory, I mean the bang is so big that you feel numb now! Death makes your presence felt more than birth. A full stop adds meaning to a sentence and ending friends is the best decision for a generation of viewers!
recently saw a video why HBO wants to end GoT, that has similar views !!
Carolina Millan the real reason is because the show was so popular, the cast was making millions of dollars and well it came at the point where the directors, network etc couldn't afford it anymore so they had to end the show

The Joey's ending was not something that i was satisfied with. He deserved a life partner for ending. the writers obviously discriminated him.
His story continued on the spin-off Joey. I've never watched that spin-off (only short clips on TH-cam), but I heard he married there. That's why he was left single at the end of Friends.
