    I’m a dog groomer and went to school for. Poodle ear hair need to plucking but how I learn at trimming school teacher said “don’t pluck a lots hair in one time, do little by little pluck hair other wise we hurts dog a lot”
    It might different style each trimming school but the way you do make me feel poor dog, I couldn’t finish watch. I know you said it’s your dog but I would not do your way.
    I believe What we can do is how to make less hurts, that’s all we can do for dogs at least.

    I feel really bad for this dog...to do it that way knowing it's hurting him is cruel.

      I recommend girl with the dogs she is positive and never plucks ears knows far more about dogs and cats! (Grooming cats another bonus)

    I think this groomer should watch some other videos. There are orhers who do this in a much more humane way. This just looks cruel. Im sorry, i hate to complain, but if I knew you did my dog in this manner, id be furious.

    You DO NOT wind up a ton of hair and pull it all out at once. Pain aside, you’re more likely to damage the ears, cause irritation, inflammation, ingrown hairs (which can also get infected), not to mention the damage you do to your relationship with your dog and their trust in you. All so you can take the EASY way out when plucking… this is so bad. What you do is take out little bits at a time until the stronger hairs that stay behind are all that’s left. Then you clean with solution and a cotton ball. If I saw a groomer do this to my dog I would hit them.

      They also wait until there's a lot of hair and buildup and inflammation, just so they don't have to do it often, which definitely makes it more painful pulling hair out of an inflamed ear. They are the reason that their dog struggles so much, why do they refuse to admit that it's painful? Every other groomer and vet knows it's painful. Now the dog will most likely NEVER be able to tolerate ear grooming, but instead of trying to do things right, they just put it off until it's bad.
      I'm shocked.

    I mean no disrespect, but you're making this so much worse by waiting until there's a lot of hair and buildup. And yes, it actually does hurt to pull large amounts out. Your dog is behaving that way for a reason, it hurts. If you just had done it regularly in small amounts, your dog wouldn't have such a bad reaction every time, and now you're in a cycle of waiting until it's bad because it's such a struggle. You wait until there's tons of hair, moisture, debris and inflammation, and it causes more pain when you pull the hair. It's not supposed to be painful but it IS painful the way you're doing it,
    Why can't you see this? It's plainly obvious to every other professional groomer that sees it.

    Is it normal for dogs to shake their heads days after ear cleaning from the groomers? It's been 4 days since groomers and my poodle is still shaking his ears. Wants us to rub his ears

    • @wutuvuworld8239
      @wutuvuworld8239 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes it’s normal. But you should definitely try to keep him from doing it as much as you can. But its normal some dogs are very sensitive about their ears .

      I have a Black Russian Terrier and she has very VERY hairy ears, lol. Ever since I started grooming her myself I do not pluck her ears at all. I hate when she keeps shaking her head all the time and in fact when groomers did this, somehow, she ended up getting ear infections/problems from it. Instead, I just keep them clean with ear wipes for dogs and shave the inside of her ears. It has helped a lot. Everyone is different but after doing research I would not pluck a dogs ear unless a vet needs it done.

    I am confused why doodles have this hair get stuck & need plucked, while others do not. Is there anything we can put in their ears to make it less painful?? (Is there a Nair type product for dogs? lol)

    • @ijustrealllylikecats
      @ijustrealllylikecats 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It's mostly dog breeds that have hanging ears and lots of curly hair. Spaniels have the same problem.

    • @ijustrealllylikecats
      @ijustrealllylikecats 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Unfortunately there's no Nair type products for dogs, the chemicals that dissolve hair would give them a chemical burn. Plucking is the only way, but you're supposed to do it little by little and not wait for it to build up, not like this person is doing.

    I keep cleaning and pulling my 7 month old standards ear hair, just with powder and my fingers because he doesn’t like when I try to use the hemostats to get further down. So I just keep getting what I can. But he is shaking and started scratching at his ears. So even though I’ve watched so many videos, I keep watching just for confidence I guess. But I really cannot even finish watching this after the the first twist of that poor dogs ear hair. There is no way I would attempt to take that much hair at one time. I can do little by little and my dog doesn’t even move or he barely feels it. I know I’m not hurting him. And I just couldn’t do it the way you do it. This is my second poodle and they love and trust you to do the right thing. I’m a grown man and seeing that gives me the chills. I’m afraid to watch the rest of the video. But I’ve seen other videos of yours and can’t understand why you don’t go easier on your baby. I’m already attached to my new guy like you wouldn’t believe. Try taking bits at a time. Takes longer but you have to have the time.

    You were indeed hurting your dog. The dog is not being a big baby. You hurt his ears. Then it probably really burned when you squirted that cleaner in them. Him putting his paw on you to stop was just heartbreaking. You literally can’t read your own dog. You just don’t get it.

    Shocking!!! It’s your own dog. Not a good example of a pet owner. I would think you keep up with his ears at home by just pulling a little bit of hair every day. Why would you, knowing how easily a dog can get an ear infection by having too much hair in its ears, put off the daily maintenance of caring for its ears? It would only take a few seconds.
