Oh man, this is when I began drumming. I was 13, bought my 1st Modern Drummer magazine, ironically Vinnie was on the cover. Sortly after, this aired on TV - which I taped. I watched this religiously, and learned every Vinnie lick from this!
Why oh why didnt they bring this out on DVD ? I saw Sting on the Ten Summoners Tales Tour at the Royal Albert Hall in London, and then Channel 4 in the UK showed this concert in Oslo, and I video'd it, and its now safely in an air tight vault until Stings record company decides to release this. It was such a brillant era for Sting and this tour was awesome, Vinnie just rocked.
I have this entire concert on VHS and I have to say I've worn it out from watching it a million times. Best live Vinnie performance ever! he is "THE MAN'
I purchased that, but this seemed like a more comprehensive performance regarding continuity, or at least regarding feeling like you were watching a whole gig. Still kicking myself for missing this tour, over & over...ouch.

best Sting line up ever! Vinnie.....words somehow don't do enough, best to just listen and realise how UNBELIEVABLE he really is! Peace to all.
"Come on, Vinnie!" Pure class, every time there's sticks in his hands

God knows why A&M didn't bother to release this gig as a DVD for sale. It is arguably his best band line-up since the Dream Of The Blue Turtles.
i second that
its hard enough playing in 5/8 but singing and playing flawlessly is amazing
good memories ...
best
I completely agree.

no doubt!!!!
Yes we all know about Vinnie. Love him. But can we give it up a little for that solid ass bass player.
Singing better than ever at 67 years, as I witnessed last year.

Not an easy sing and play song...
damn right, but replace David Sancious with Kenny Kirkland too.
