    It's nyocky not gunocky. jk. great video. lots of good stuff to check out here. Great job walking through everything you were doing. Drives me batty, but you're doing it right. Good job putting in the bound company field. One thing I'd recommend is putting in the products Descending in your query. That way you can avoid that problem of 'I don't know what the big blue chunk is'. Nice to see top products first too for most uses. Another nice update is a 'view details' link that pulls up the query or a report view filtered for that product. You're right the execs want pictures. But there's always that guy that wants to drill down.

    Hello Steve. I have a question regarding charts in reports. I have a table that logs when a product is sold (Field name -> DateSold, Datatype: Date/Time). How can i create a chart (bar or pie) that gives me an indication by month? For example to show me, January X products sold, February Y products sold etc etc. so i can compare which month had the biggest sales ? Thanks in advance.

    Great video sir. I have one question though, I used parameter queries to filter the graphs according to date and also added a label on top of the graph to show to the user the date of the data being shown, I've also used the method you taught of increasing navigation control layouts speed in tutorial 21/22. My problem now is I get 3 pop ups of the parameter query and I feel it could be annoying to my customers, isn't there a vba code I could use to control the parameter pop ups, so that the pop up comes only once?

    • @ProgrammingMadeEZ
      @ProgrammingMadeEZ  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      You shouldn't be getting parameter pop ups unless you are intending for it. If the popups are happening because they are referring to a form which isn't visible, then store the data from that form into table instead. That way you eliminate popups for parameters.

    I'll take some time to thank you for all your efforts, I'm really graceful for your videos because it helped me throw my studies.

    • @ProgrammingMadeEZ

      No, I just mean you can add charts and graphs to forms as well as reports. A form is a bit more interactive though so a user can easily look at data and make selections.

    Thanks for a Great video! I've made several attempts to add a simple chart to a report, following your instructions. realy a nice video ;-) It did great help making a report better overviewing. But do you also know how to make pivotcharts?

    • @ProgrammingMadeEZ
      @ProgrammingMadeEZ  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ewoud Visscher Pivot charts and pivot tables have been removed in Access 2013. Yet another useful feature Microsoft, in all their infinite wisdom, decided to take out. Their excuse for this is because pivot chats and pivot tables are not supported for the web version of Access. It seems pretty clear the Access team has a directive to turn Access into web only solution in the near future.

    How would I go about changing SKUs to their UPC when another user imports an excel spreadsheet (containing SKUs). The company will randomly change SKUs and this is problematic for maintaining synced data. I've tried adding a button for employees to download the current inventory list for them to make the proper changes. It worked as well as dribbling a hockey puck.

      Hi Jacob Ely, thank you for your question. However I am afraid it is too specific to your situation for me to properly help in the comments section. Also please consider the time it would take to collect all the necessary information to help you. If you're looking for one-on-one help with a problem you can sign up as a member for $5 a month and submit questions directly to me with screen shots or even copies of your application. If necessary I will initiate a virtual meeting with you so you can screen share and work through the problem together. Unfortunately I cannot offer this service to everyone for free. I hope you understand.
      If you are looking for a free option to get help with this issue, you can always try one of the access forums such as www.accessforums.net/ or www.utteraccess.com/forum/ . The folks on those forums do a terrific job of helping people in their free time.

      If you are trying to perform complex VBA tasks without knowing VBA, then I think you're in deeper than you realize. Just copying and pasting some code isn't going to help you. You really should go through the whole series so that you know what you're doing and won't break anything because you were unaware.
