@@austin8819can't see that happening... Dunno where you got the info, but Devs previously said it would be 'too hard' for them to implement cheats for console ...
Thank you so much for this Strat. I love RBM but one of the reasons I rarely play a campaign with it is the changes it makes to smithing - several categories of weapons can't be crafted at all at the beginning of the game from changes in unlock progression. It's extremely annoying to have to buy a bunch of throwing daggers and smelt them before I can craft any throwing knife. The command to unlock crafting pieces is a lifesaver!
Yeah that part is pretty rough. I found the only way to do it is make a ton of money with 2H weapons (sword, mace, axe) and then use that money to buy all the high tier weapons of the class you want to unlock and smelt them down. It works well, but it really shouldn't be a cheese move to unlock stuff at a reasonable rate. Thanks for watching!
you can go to the arena and ask the Arena man to change your skills (you need to choose which). It will cost you some money the richer the more you pay but still it was always an affordable price.

Oh! By the way. It seems that a lot of the console commands that used to work _(As in this video!)_ are not working now. But I'm not sure from when this change happened. Hi strat is the mod for companion limit through workshop? I have the mod were u can promote soldiers to companions and it says “ignores companion limit” yet my soldier companions just die off whenever I have too many companions.
I ran into this as well when I first downloaded it - you have to go into the options menu, mod options and go to mod page. It defaults at the vanilla settings and you have to manually adjust the companion limit. Hopefully that helps!
Also it seems that the declare_war and declare_peace command lines only accept names that are in the current game language. So for example if your game is not in English but in French, "vlandia" will not work but "vlande" will.
It seems add item command doesnt work on 1.2.7. I keep getting "item not found" even with simple stuff like grain. Does it still work for you @Strat-Guides? I've even disabled all mods and started a new campaign bur result is the same.
is there a way to get the give settlement command to give settlements to another NPC in your faction? I'll join a faction thats on the warpath and really rolling and they just pile on the fiefs. I dont even have time to get one squared away before I have a few others on the brink of rebellion and right on the border with the hostile enemy faction
You can give fiefs away if they end up in your hands. The only command that's available gives the fief to the faction leader, who then calls the vote to see who gets to keep it. But if they are giving them to do, you can just give it right back :) Kingdom tab, fiefs tab, find your fief on the list and there is an option to give it back near the bottom.
@@Strat-Guides Means a lot that you'd reply to my question even though I could have just poked around in the menus for a couple of minutes and found an answer. Thank you.
What mods are being used in this? I saw one where as the ruler of Battania the capital got moved, unless if I'm dumb, that's not a vanilla game feature?
You can take fiefs and give them away to others with console commands, so maybe that's what it was? I usually just have basic mods like RTS camera and character reloaded, neither of which move fiefs around
I have the game on my laptop via the xbox store but i cant seem to activate the comands with alt ~ Is that because i have the xbox version or because im in a laptop?

Yeah I'm using Character Reloader mod! You can change their name, looks, age, stats, etc. Back in the day you had to edit a file to enable console commands, but at some point they changed it so you can do it in game.
@@Strat-Guides Ok.... Yeah that sounds like a winner. There's also a tiny little mod that specifically just puts that little plume on your companions which is all I really need for my purposes. At least for now. Thank you. Thank you both, actually.
Settlement Castle Food 'donation' problem. Use the console command: campaign.set_settlement_variable [SettlementName/SettlementID] [VariableName] [Value] VariableName = Prosperity, Security, Food, Loyalty, Militia, Hearth Example: "campaign.set_settlement_variable Chanopsis Castle Food 100" to give Chanopsis Castle 100 food (because the game doesn't allow it) and then throw away the same amount of food (from your party stock) for balance. This is a work-around for 'donating' food to castles.
Does anyone know of a mod that allows you to recruit in newly conquered cities (from not my faction) units from the kingdom of which I am? For example: When Vlandia conquers the city of Sturgia, I can recruit Vlandia units in the former city of Sturgia.
I can put the config.cheat_mode 1 on and campaign.add_renown_to_clan but the rest it not working for me and by that i mean , battanian_fian_champion , khuzait_khans_guard
I really like doing the max attribute and focus but dont level the skills, so I can learn everything as I play. I find it weird I have to pick, like there's not enough room in my characters head to learn how to do use a polearm
That's a good question, I had not run into that myself! I recommend using a mod called Character Reloader instead - it's way easier to adjust everything regarding companions and heros. You can even adjust traits with that, and it's done with a slider, so no more entering in commands. Hopefully that helps!
Sort of, but you can to reset the whole character and manually add point back in - not reasonable to do. IMO if you can use a mod, use Character Reloader as it let's you do exactly that within seconds.
Um, new to playing the game. Had it in my library since day one, forgot I had it. But, do I have to do this after I turn off the game or does it stay forever until I turn of cheats with the command?
Thx for the video, helped very much. But... westernempire (or northern or southern) does not function with campaign.declare_war(/peace). All other factions do work, but on every attemp to use empire faction i get an error: "Faction is not found: westernempire". On the other hand the command campaign.join_kingdom_as_mercenary with "westernempire" do work. Is that a 1.1.0 bug?
I'm not sure if it's specific to 1.1.0 because it's always worked that way on prior patches. I'm upgrading to 1.1.0 once I finish the Amir Timur campaign, so I'll check it out soon
@@Strat-Guides OK, you dont need to test it out. I play the game in german. After switching to english all commands with "empire" worked again. Seems to be a localisation bug.
Game version 1.5.0 Also with this version of the game the campaign.declare_war/peace command does not work with Empire factions. The console does not recognize the names of the Empire factions. westernempire, westernempire, empirewestern, empire western, western empire, none of these commands are recognized.
I know this video is over a year old but for adding troops to my party it won't work. When I type the command in it pops up a list of commands and units, it doesn't give me an error and it doesn't add troops, it just says here is a list of all the troops.

Nice to know this stuff exist though for a 2nd playthrough
Hahaha gameshark! Well I'm glad I'm not the only old person on here ;) I remember going to blockbuster back in the day, I think they had gamesharks for rent?? Those were the days lol I know what you mean about using cheats - but that's only one side of it. I actually use the console commands to setup scenarios that are much harder that what the base game has. Like going to war with everyone from day one, or making a united empire from day 1 to fight against, etc. Also some people don't have a ton of time to invest in a full campaign an prefer to skip the first couple of years, so this can help them do that and still enjoy what the game has to offer. I guess it's all up to the person using it! Thanks for watching :D
For whatever reason I cannot activate cheat mode via the console. I always have to edit the file manually in Documents\Mount and Blade II Bannerlord\Configs and alter engine_config.txt with Cheat Mode = 1. All other commands work via console though.
I've heard there are some keyboards that are different (usually not from English speaking countries) that have the ~ key mapped differently. That's the only thing I can think of... :(
If you had mods installed previously, they sometimes install files that are not deleted when you delete the mod folder. I'm not sure where they are put, I think Flesson19 covered this in one of his videos but that might be a good place to start. Also a reinstall and rechecking the validity of your files on steam. If those don't work, I have no clue :( You can reach out to Flesson19 on my discord, check the link in the description
hey someone is there any command to level the "level" of the character, not the attribute, not the focus, not the skills, THE LEVEL of the character to progress "naturally" if its possible
Good question - I'm not sure if there is a command to do that directly, however it can be done in two ways: give XP wiht console command to a skill you have no attribute or focus points into (so you still get the base XP but don't level the character up since 0 learning rate for that skill) OR a much better way is to use Character Reloader mod and just move the slider. It's SO easy to do with the mod and will save you so much time.
This is 2024 October. I did your campaign.give_troops troops help. Don’t work but if you change to add it will show the list. Now I do the same same command as you but nothing happens . Whether I use add or or give. Now when I turn on cheat 1 I can see I can see a lot of different characters in the party but they are all 10 per character. And you have to move them over one at a time. But I can’t type in 100 and it shows up 100 down at the bottom on the right side. I actually have to go into party and move them over individually 10 at a time which is a pain in the butt
PS if you can help me with the first one, it’s OK maybe you can help me with this one. How do you clear history because you end up typing a lot of stuff. Thank you for the reply.
i played roughly 4 months before i stumble upon this video. and i just play around with village hearth and also militia armor, and then i just saw 500+ men from enemy trying to raid my village and getting wiped by a villager militia . oh god i laugh so hard
I'm not sure, you might be able to find that out on their discord? I assume they added a line of code for that specific unit type, but have no clue what it could be.
Are any of these commands possible to do without ruining the ability to get achievements? Or are they perhaps not interfering with achievements at all?
I don't think so - although I'm not positive about that. Once I finish up with my modded campaign I'll be upgrading to 1.1.0 and running with no mods so I can test it out!

I ran into this as well when I first downloaded it - you have to go into the options menu, mod options and go to mod page. It defaults at the vanilla settings and you have to manually adjust the companion limit. Hopefully that helps!
@@Strat-Guides what was the name of the mod u use? Because I can’t see the mod I use in the mod settings. Thanks
Also it seems that the declare_war and declare_peace command lines only accept names that are in the current game language. So for example if your game is not in English but in French, "vlandia" will not work but "vlande" will.
I don't have ~ on my laptop keyboard what should I do?
I have no clue :( I wonder if there's a way to remap a key on your keyboard to be the ~ key?
7:37 not working
I didn't know about the lead your faction command. I could have used that for some of my runs.
Yeah it's a much easier way to setup fun scenarios!
the ALT +~ isnt workinggg
I know this is 1 year to late but its the button above Tab. on my keyboard its ° ^
Your video is incredible, there is no this in Spanish. greetings from Mexico City.
It seems add item command doesnt work on 1.2.7. I keep getting "item not found" even with simple stuff like grain. Does it still work for you @Strat-Guides?
I've even disabled all mods and started a new campaign bur result is the same.
yeah me to the latest update messed it up if there’s anything that works plz help😭
is there a way to get the give settlement command to give settlements to another NPC in your faction?
I have the game on my laptop via the xbox store but i cant seem to activate the comands with alt ~
Is that because i have the xbox version or because im in a laptop?
It might be the Xbox version - they disabled this for console version :(
I thought so but I have the ability to change the performance settings when on my laptop like changing battle size where as thats not an option on the xbox so its not just a copy of the xbox version
For some reason I’m not able to use the command give troops. I’m on pc, and it still won’t show up. Pls help
I think they changed it to add troops instead? No clue why they let changed commands each patch, but every patch they change a couple of them
@@Strat-Guidesyea I figured that out last night after searching the internet lol. Thank you for your reply anyways! Love your vids!

the best guide for bannerlord 2.....
The first time we saw commands like this were in Baldur's Gate I. :D
Little question. If I press the keys, nothing happened. Amy Ideas why?
Alt + ~ should bring up the console. If it's not, then I have no clue - maybe something got switched in the control menu??
@@Strat-Guides if i press "Atl" and the "+" key in a text document, nothing happens, but if I press "AltGr" an "+" key the output is "~". Is "~" the right return? And thanks for your quick answer.
You have to have a mod to rename companions?
Also.... seems like we used to have to enable something in an ini file?
Shouldn't need to touch any files to open the console.
The mod is a hero editor mod, used in the recent campaigns on his other channel.
Use the console command:
campaign.set_settlement_variable [SettlementName/SettlementID] [VariableName] [Value]
VariableName = Prosperity, Security, Food, Loyalty, Militia, Hearth
Example:
"campaign.set_settlement_variable Chanopsis Castle Food 100"
to give Chanopsis Castle 100 food (because the game doesn't allow it) and then throw away the same amount of food (from your party stock) for balance.
This is a work-around for 'donating' food to castles.
Oh cool, I didn't know about the food one. Good idea!
How do I finish or cancel quests via the console? I'm stuck in a forever war with 3 factions and it is not fun at all.
I'm not sure, I've not messed with the commands for that yet :(
Does anyone know of a mod that allows you to recruit in newly conquered cities (from not my faction) units from the kingdom of which I am? For example: When Vlandia conquers the city of Sturgia, I can recruit Vlandia units in the former city of Sturgia.
I can put the config.cheat_mode 1 on and campaign.add_renown_to_clan but the rest it not working for me and by that i mean , battanian_fian_champion ,
khuzait_khans_guard
For some idiotic reason, the devs keep changing the console commands. I'll have to update this guide then, sorry about that!
Hey thanks for an awesome video man. Just wanted yo know how you got your companion limit so high?
I really like doing the max attribute and focus but dont level the skills, so I can learn everything as I play. I find it weird I have to pick, like there's not enough room in my characters head to learn how to do use a polearm
Yeah I like how Kingdom Come Deliverance was - you get XP when you use a skill and it's that simple :)
I tried using set hero trait but there's multiple hero with the same name... do you know how to apply for the exact one I want?
That's a good question, I had not run into that myself! I recommend using a mod called Character Reloader instead - it's way easier to adjust everything regarding companions and heros. You can even adjust traits with that, and it's done with a slider, so no more entering in commands. Hopefully that helps!
@@Strat-Guides that helps a lot!! thanks 👍
If you use campaign.add_skill_xp_to_hero you can get any skill up to 1023, just set it to 299 and give yourself 50 million xp
Yes, 1000 stat man haha!
The make peace cheat does not work for me.
It says "faction should be a kingdom faction".
The make peace for all cheat does not work as well.
hi, is there a command to reset companions atribute points? thanks
Sort of, but you can to reset the whole character and manually add point back in - not reasonable to do. IMO if you can use a mod, use Character Reloader as it let's you do exactly that within seconds.
thanks mate@@Strat-Guides
Um, new to playing the game. Had it in my library since day one, forgot I had it. But, do I have to do this after I turn off the game or does it stay forever until I turn of cheats with the command?
It stays on until you turn it off manually, even when you close the game.
I cant open the console for some reason and i cant see my console in keybindings
It should just be ALT + ~ but if that's not working for you then I have no clue :(
Thx for the video, helped very much. But...
westernempire (or northern or southern) does not function with campaign.declare_war(/peace).
That last zoom scene lmao
Thanks for watching! :D
I know this video is over a year old but for adding troops to my party it won't work. When I type the command in it pops up a list of commands and units, it doesn't give me an error and it doesn't add troops, it just says here is a list of all the troops.
same
Ayye man you gotta throw up the disclaimer in your description (WARNING - GAME BREAKING CHEATS). Lol some of us don't wanna use cheats. Lol felt like I stumbled upon my old game shark when I watched this video. I'll stick to your guide videos. Cant cheeping my first playthrough, kinda defeats the purpose of the grind. Nice to know this stuff exist though for a 2nd playthrough
Hahaha gameshark! Well I'm glad I'm not the only old person on here ;) I remember going to blockbuster back in the day, I think they had gamesharks for rent?? Those were the days lol
I know what you mean about using cheats - but that's only one side of it.
Im not able to bring up the console. Could there be any reason why ?
I've heard there are some keyboards that are different (usually not from English speaking countries) that have the ~ key mapped differently. That's the only thing I can think of... :(
After the last update, my game crashes at launch even without mods, could you help fix this issue?
If you had mods installed previously, they sometimes install files that are not deleted when you delete the mod folder. I'm not sure where they are put, I think Flesson19 covered this in one of his videos but that might be a good place to start. Also a reinstall and rechecking the validity of your files on steam. If those don't work, I have no clue :( You can reach out to Flesson19 on my discord, check the link in the description
@@Strat-Guides thanks, did you face any problems with mods after last update? Such as harmony
hey someone is there any command to level the "level" of the character, not the attribute, not the focus, not the skills, THE LEVEL of the character to progress "naturally" if its possible
"It's good to be the king!"
Can I do this on the console version with a keyboard?
Someone tested this out today and left a comment saying it didn't work :(
This is 2024 October.
Can I use the cheat on my Xbox but the trophy's?? Unlock or lock?
@albertofurlan4193 I'm not sure, I've only played on PC and you need a mod to allow cheats and achievements
can we have an update to this cause there has been changes to the coding etc and the southern empire faction ID has been changed. :(
It's on my list to update - not sure when I'll get to it, but I'll try my best to get it done soon!
i played roughly 4 months before i stumble upon this video. and i just play around with village hearth and also militia armor, and then i just saw 500+ men from enemy trying to raid my village and getting wiped by a villager militia . oh god i laugh so hard
Thank you, this the best exploit tutorial for bannerlord ever!
Declare war and peace codes do not work, how can I fix that?
I'll have to look, but I recommend starting with campaign.war and seeing what options pop up. There should be a list to pick from
how you speed up time while you travelling on map? great videos btw!
If you're on PC, I highly recommend a small mod called Better Time - it allows you to set whatever speeds you want for the campaign map.
what command would be appropriate to throw a dragon as a companion in the realm of thrones mod?
I'm not sure, you might be able to find that out on their discord? I assume they added a line of code for that specific unit type, but have no clue what it could be.
It looks like multiply_campaign_speed was removed in v1.1.0? I'm not seeing it in the and list.
is there a command that lets u change a specific skills? like for example, i only wanna change polearm to 100 of a specific companion?
Yup! There is also a command add a specific amount of XP to one skill.
@@Strat-Guides can u show me? i tried googling and cant find anything that works.
@@Strat-Guides "campaign.set_skill_companion 111 one handed loren cowthief" i do this and i get "update failed" msg XD
@@GamingWithPedrito The combat skills with 2 words are funky - try "OneHanded" without spaces and see if that works.
@@Strat-Guides Alright, neat! Cheers for checking!
Well I think I know what I'ma do for my next campaign
