This game illustrates exactly why Lance is not the answer. If the running game is going well and the defense plays solid Lance can win a game. If those things are not present he cannot carry a team to a win. Need a QB in this coming draft.

Literally last game he goes “stoutmire deserves more play time.” Then gives the man literally no snaps and decides to keep the rapidly declining lattimore. Just absolutely brain dead decision making.
Yeah, I understand staying pat when you're leading the division at 4-3, hard to go one way or the other. But Lattimore is older, close to FA, and you have three good younger corners on roster. Makes a lot of sense to send him off. I don't get it.

The fact that he called it with the full intention of throwing to that route regardless of post-snap reads is concerning. Definitely should have hot-routed a checkdown, maybe a TE release route or HB check and release. Even a flat or out to the left side to create a hi-lo read with the route he wanted to throw to. The hole in this offense is the lack of planning for multiple coverages. The plays often get clamped because its only meant to beat a single coverage.
This game really showed the strength of our offensive depth, but the defensive side still needs more reinforcements. We often have to manufacture the pressure through blitzes. Some more front seven help wouldn't be a bad idea to look for in free agency or draft next offseason.
This game is *exactly* why I said Lance has to be better with the football. A good QB is not missing those throws, and a good QB can elevate a team when the run game isn't working I went in knowing Ramon Cruz would toast us based off how much Cane was leery of his skills. This was a classic trap game.
Cane, if I ever see you playing zone with both LBs in the A gap on 3rd and inches when the opposing team is in spread again, I might have to block you lol. Favorite streamer by far! The more games I watch, the more I'm convinced that Trey Lance isn't the future quarterback of this team. We should really look into the quarterbacks available in next year's draft class

I blame Valentine's Day for this. There's a reason why a lot of coaches forbid their players from having...relations right before a big game. Seriously.
You might have to stay in 4-3 or 3-4 more often, even against 3 receiver looks. The linebackers should be fast enough if needed against the pass, but this run defense is too much of a liability to not try it.
The Saints are currently 4th in run D but dead last VS the pass. Maybe that's because teams figure why bother running when you can dot up the secondary all day long but still...

Hes kinda forced to blitz to create pressure which obviously leaves openings in coverage. And when he doesnt, the QB has enough time to wait for a guy to get wide open. Ironically the best way for Cane to balance this would be to turn down CPU pass blocking. That way he isnt forced to blitz as much and can play actual coverage.

Dude, you can absolutely let the cpu control your highlighted defender. That’s how I play. It’s way too easy to cheese the game controlling a defender. I want ratings to matter.
Came we all understand that you want to get difficult and realistic sliders, but opposing qbs need their throw on the run and accuracy toned down so much it’s not even funny.
Some of these CPU QB animations are ridiculously bad and unrealistic. Some of these games are unwatchable because of the lack of realism. Not hurricanes fault madden is usually hot garbage but man the sliders might need some work
Mayweather is just bad though bro, likely a backup his entire career. Unless you just want the team to tank but that’s not realistic at this point I feel.

User defense in this game is so terrible idk what it is but no matter how good your defense is on paper you’re always getting cooked
