I remember doing a duck design and the characters commented on how it's literally just a duck
And then the duck proceeded to fall in love with the swan boat.
It also make the fight really easy

Underrated line but just Ralsei asking him to stick with one accent and not try to combine his English and Pirate accents
Seeing Rouxls doing that was my favorite part.
That's one of the best parts imo

I was literally freaking out at the fact that not only does the best character in Chapter 1 finally get his own boss battle, but my Thrash Machine actually fights me!
It took me an hour to figure out his first puzzle

My Thrash Machine was the duck, and I swear to god, when Rouxls' boat flipped down to reveal this giant pink duck I laughed harder than I have in ages. And then laughed equally hard at the "GOD. DAMMIT."
it made me glad i didn't play it out of a fresh save file. i actually replayed chapter 1 cuz i had a feeling some things like that would happen aaaaaand i was right xD
And then you get to the final fight in the chapter and you regret Duck but still _D u c k_
I was wondering if it did that if you had played the first chapter beforehand!

If this man doesn’t become like a rival character (Ala Pokemon) with a “Puzzle Boss” fight every chapter I will be sorely disappointed
i NEED an endgame fight where he literally changes the rules of the game and it suddenly becomes a crazy hard battle. make it so the rules of bullet hell are reversed so you constantly lose HP unless you touch bullets. make healing items hurt you. make it so mercy and health bars are flipped around sometimes to arbitrarily extend the length of the fight. give me the most OBNOXIOUS Rules Card shenanigans possible PLEASE
I hope he pulls a JRPG villain and somehow usurps the main antagonist and becomes the final boss.

@@CartoonyPirate There's some evidence that he'll probably be in Ch 3 since the cards (aka the light world counterparts of Rouxls Kaard and Lancer) are still in Kris inventory even after the events of putting everyone in castle town.

And it's said that if you end up in a draw, he simply says that he "has no idea who won" and just goes to the next part anyway.

The quickest way to defeat Rouxls Kaard in this battle is to advance to his position on the House Board as quickly as possible and then wall him in; you can't capture houses on tiles that your opponent has already captured, thus by walling Rouxls Kaard in in this manner, the game instantly ends. This can be done as quickly as two turns. So long, Kaptain Kaard.
@GoldenLightFB Funny thing about that. I actually did that thinking that I could capture Kaard's houses. My strategy was to meet Kaard in the middle, then begin capturing HIS houses and force him off the board, having Ralsei using his turns to DEFEND, and using grazing to generate TP, then use my superior TP stores to Cap 3 and 4 each turn to push Kaard off the board. As it turns out though, that's when I learned you couldn't capture each other's houses, so I settled for simply walling him in.
I did that on my fist run of chapter 2. It just seemed like the best way to win. Poor guy didn't even make it past 4 houses in his corner.
I saw manly just beat the poor guy like that. Gg
I think anyone with half a mind figured that out on their second turn, if not their first. I didn't feel any desire or need to cheese it because of how easy it was. I kinda feel bad for the people who instantly jump to the easiest option.

I hope this guy becomes a boss in every chapter like Jr Koopa from Paper Mario

I made a duck with a gun face and I loved him

The fact that there's a leitmotif from Lancer's theme here really shows that Rouxls cares about him a lot more than he leds you to believe. You go Lesser dad!

I think its because of trash machine because well... lancer created the trash machine in chapter 1
i'm actually so impressed the thrash machine is actually unique to the one you built

especially cause y'know the ending fight, the artists had to animate separate heads for every trash machine. it's was just a really neat touch.
Heads not just visually different during megazord fight, you also get different skill for each head If i'm not mistaken.

@@doofs I used chapter 1 save with full duck machine. During the fight I had the duck head (as expected) and first skill had duck related name (don't remember exactly). It was a punch that healed some hp. All recordings i've seen had lazer head (default I quess) and the skill there was called Lazer Mode, never seen it used tho since everyone only heals. So I assume other heads will have different skills too.
@@skyfler6859 I used the gun head! It costs 50 tp and it's called "fire mode"
Does a big punch and increases the damage of each punch is increased for 2 turns.

In another run I had knife head. It made my punches knife swings (more damage) until I missed

Not to mention its ridiculously easy to dodge
The moment I saw "Gehahahaha..." appear on screen, I knew I was about to fight this puzzle master. And being greeted with one of the best lines in the game, "Chips Ahoyeth, Landlubbers!" I knew this was gonna be fun.
And not to mention that his battle theme is in the top 5 songs in this whole chapter.

When you realize that Rouxls had his entire body turn into stone except for this head because he's been wearing a pirate hat, and piracy is actually compatible with the Cyber World
Maybe, he only turned into stone right before his *true power* could be used, imagine what could've happen

When Rouxls turned to stone, for some reason I thought that since his head didn't turn to stone he was wearing a mask or something, but then he could still speak so yeah

Seeing Rouxls actually have a moving sprite was something I was not expecting to see.
I love how Ralsei didn't have a problem with totally just leaving his poor ass lying on the ground. That was hysterical.

I won this one in two turns taking 3 and then 4 locking him out of getting more houses right near the start of his zone.

I'm pretty sure Toby has made an unused song for a Rouxls Kaard battle, he said that in the battle Kaard would have died in one hit or something, seems like he was preparing a genocide route for Chapter 1 :o

I love this character development.
I hope that he will just be a reoccurring character that seems like he’s on your side at the beginning but eventually betrays you only to go back in your side.

When i played this i said "wait wasnt rouxls in my pocket???"
Then, when rouxls revealed that he was standing on my thrash machine which i called "tankduck" i screamed "OH MY FREAKING GOD, ITS TANKDUCK"

Its hilarious when you choose the duck design. Also I found out the hard way by not understanding house 2 and 3 meant you could get multiple houses that nothing happens if you lose.

Yes. For me I made a duck, and the attack is basically a rubber duck slowly moving on the screen.
Its funny how you actually do design a thrash machine that ends up being poorly built, and explodes only to believe that you'll never see it again only for a reoccurring weirdo to attempt to sink your ship with the very machine that those two built crudely before.
