- After the first queen fight I backtrack through the entire world to see what changed and which dialogue is new. I hope I got everything but it's very possible I missed a thing or two, and if I did I'm sorry, as I want this video to be the definitive collection of everything
I accidentally got lost in cyberfield while trying to find the blue checkmark I missed, I got to the first save point and it told me that I was filled with the power of pointless backtracking 🤣🤣
The only checkmark in the chapter is a YELLOW checkmark.

Go to room with the music-synched bullet-dodging segment (at the left from the room with the first door) in the middle there's a path downwards to the first one, then go back to the room and go to the up-right, there are 2 tee cup puzzles, solve them and you get the other two

at the end of ch.2 (at least if you recruit them) a swatchling and a rabbick are seen sweeping together and the end of their dialogue is "sukkiri" so it might be foreshadowing

Maybe we're meeting the secret bosses in reverse order of when they all met the same person, so Jevil was the newest. Perhaps Spamton was abandoned by this voice for Jevil instead, and holds a resentment for the clown because of it? (and further on from this suggestion, maybe that means as we get to later chapters we'll eventually meet the chronologically earliest one fucked up by this mystery man)

The camera is the same one that takes the swan ride photo with Ralsei. Lord knows why it’s all the way back in cyber field but it appears there directly after the swan ride
I've been told that that camera is in the room right after the conveyor belt with the fireworks, so that camera would've probably served a similar function to the one at the end of the tunnel of love

Susie smashing everything while backtracking is so Susie that I wasn't surprised.
You can get susie to smash everything once you activated the pot-on-head minigame, which effectively lets you skip the whole thing if you backtrack to the previous room immediately after stepping past the line (and running away from all the swatches chasing you for broken pottery) then go back.

3 things to add:
- If you go and examine the boxes along the city path again, Susie will comment on them
- If you didnt eat it with Noelle earlier, you can share the moss with Susie by backtracking
- I dont know what the conditions are, probably visiting multiple times, but there was an extra npc with the cleaning swatchling in the arcade room during my playthrough at the end

7:55 Funny detail: the smaller Queen statue that used to be dangling from Berdly's bicep is missing. But if you leave and re-enter the far right room in the acid tunnel maze (with the 'housekeeping' swatch) and run to the right, you can just catch sight of it sinking into the acid before it disappears.

1:55 …oh shit! If this is a representation of a computer world and the body that Spamton used was the same body as Mettaton NEO, does that mean that, like… Swatch is the embodiment of MS Paint? Did ghost-Mettaton go into the library at some point and draw out a cool body he’d like to have one day in MS Paint? Whoa… (The colored badges on Swatch’s lapel kinda remind me of the Windows logo, too.)
Swatch refers to a color swatch, aka the color grid on programs like MS paint. I'd totally believe Hapsablook/Mettaton designed NEO's body on the computer lab, but deleted it thinking it could never be real which is why we see it as a broken robot in the basement.
i think it'd make more sense for Alphys to be the one who drew it since she came up with the specific concept of NEO in the original undertale, she only pitched it to Mettaton.

Oh, this whole section just reeks of both Mettaton and Alphys, for different reasons. I have no doubt this is a reference to that. Especially since, IIRC, there is another such reference, where the name of the track is a joke about something else.

The dialogue for getting the photo is actually different based on what you picked, if you do the rude gesture she says "Hahaha!! That's awesome, Kris!" , but i don't know about the other ones
It also changes Ralsei's description.
For that one specifically, Ralsei becomes "Friends with a Rude Gesture."
That's the option I chose. I don't like Ralsei on 2. On 1 he was cool and all but on 2 God I want to throw him out of the window.

I like how the hacker is kinda a returning side character, where you'll always see him sprinkled about. It's cool how he isn't just used as someone you can recruit, or is a special bossfight.

One little cool thing about the robot in the basement is that they're probably hinting at the fact that Mettatron (which Is still a shy ghost in deltarune) designed its bot form, but with the lack of Alphys never created it. Thus explaining the similarity of spamtron to mettatron, and the use of the word neo (and ex if you beat him normally)
The Deltarune light world lacks the magic and the technology to create something like Mettaton's body. Mettaton is damned to spend his life as a ghost

Am I the only one who thinks its weird that they kept saying the room labelled "jockington" got said to be Spamton's room. They both wear glasses, name ends in -ton, jockington seems popular... it seems pretty certain theyll show up at some point later.

I mean he also knows everyone's names without meeting them, even being able to percieve noelle tea when she can't see his. And he knew the chapter 2 quest was happening and got there somehow.
oh! Also, in the Snowgrave route, when you walk by Noelle's room Susie will go inside. Ralsei will try to start the 'are you wondering what she's doing' scene, but it doesn't work and he'll start to freak out. Then when Susie comes out he'll urge her to tell everyone what happened. So I'm pretty sure it's implied that Ralsei has some knowledge/smidgen of control of the meta. He can see everything, and knows it's real, he's just using him and Kris 'imagining' it as a front.

(that might not be accurate but he says something generally like that) which is very, very, interesting.

4:13 There's 3 reasons why she could've been using that face:
1. It was a "mistake" done by Toby on purpose, so Ralsei would break the fourth wall by commenting on Toby using a expression for Susie that didn't fit her there.
2. The idea of a flames coming out of a tube could be reminding Susie of Lancer's "motorcycle". At that point, he's still a stone statue, so it makes sense she'd get a bit emotional there thinking of him.
3. I'm just looking too much into it and it's just a random joke :P
Just an idea I had for anyone there crafting but couldn’t the rooms be considered as accounts that people could have used on the computers in the library? That’s why the got those search results in them

Well in the context of the dark world, these rooms are super luxuries that spamton needed crazy clout and money to get into, but the real world people just made their accounts. If anything, you could also make the argument that people with accounts/rooms are people the queen gives a heck about but that’s just me. I don’t think spamton used to be a lightener, just a guy who made his place in this dark world for a bit

The amount of backtracking stuff Toby adds to his games is uncanny. Not only are they a ton of details the first time you come through, but then you find a whole new layer later!

You know, I haven't heard a lot of people discussin how Kris, well, you, are able to read people's minds basically. Everything in parenthesis appears to be a character's thoughts, evident from Noelle's reaction in the weird ending.

If they are in the players party, the player can monitor them I guess. Sth similiar happens when you see Susie and Noelle talking in private, or in chapter 1 when you look at what Susie is doing in her cell. Curiously, when further away Susie shrugs off the players command and does her own thing, since she couldn't hear it well.
Also notable, in her fight with Lancer the soul keeps jumping back and forth from Kris to Lancers attacks.

it's just meta things. it's just because it's part of the story, you're a completely seperate entity from the game so you're supposed to be able to read their thoughts, because, well, you're the player and that's how the game was designed - there's not really an ingame explanation, it's just regular story stuff

The Spamton stuff happens anytime after you defeat Spamton NEO, the ferris wheel dialogue happens after re-uniting and getting to the Warp Door, the Invasive puzzle happens immediately after returning from solving that puzzle. Existential Dread convo happens right then and there, didn't need to backtrack for that. Hacker's demoscene happens when you find all his blue checkmarks.
I think Sukkiri is a reference to the dust bunny in the dark town, since they say it there and are cleaning, so the butler probably found the one who likes cleaning as much as him.

So spamton’s Neo body WAS Mettaton, or at least his abandoned prototype body. The question is, did MTT abandon it, or did Alphys give up trying to help him? If it’s the latter, then why?
Deltarune is a separate continuity. Mettaton likely just fantasized about having a cool robot body and made some art designs for one on the library computer that was deleted

It would make sense that Blooky's cousin (mettaton) designed a dream performance body at the library, but abandoned it when he(?) realized that could never become real.
I don't think Alphys Deltarune would have the time or funds to even consider a project like that tbh. Unless they dreamt up a body together, even though they knew they couldn't build it.

i want to mention that the description given when interacting with the giant berdly statue in the toilet and the giant toilet itself are most likely both references to earthbound, with "No Problem Here" being the response given when you can't interact with something in earthbound, and the wording of the giant toilet's interaction being very similar if not identical to the giant iron pencil and eraser from earthbound.

At 9:01 they say “Sukkiri,” which is Japanese for “Refreshing,” and it’s the same thing that the dust bunny enemy in your town will say, so it’s probably referring to them in some way.
Those bunnies were pretty much dust bunnies in chapter 1, you blow on them and they are cleaned and happy.
I think it just references the meaning of the word, like you said "The feeling of being refreshed or clean"
My guess we will have more enemies who enjoy being clean in later chapters too, they will probably all say this or something when recruited.

You've probably been told this, but "sukkiri" is japanese onomatopoeia that refers to the pleasant feeling you get when things are tidy, orderly and clear. Basically, the Swatchling is feeling refreshed because of the cleaning. :)

This Werewire is describing Spamton as afraid of clowns, and the only clown we have is Jevil which Spamton has already referenced multiple times, so maybe Spamton is afraid of Jevil for some reason? Maybe because Jevil is free but Spamton can't get freedom, or something?

When you interact with the toilet, the phrasing is similar to the metal pencils and erasers in earthbound.

The ad shopkeeper people that tell spamton’s story, at the end it says that he made many calls but suddenly they stopped and when the keeper put his head to the phone it was nothing but garbage noise
When you make a call on your phone it plays the gaster sound effect then says “nothing but garbage noise”
Perhaps this means something?
It means his phone broke.
That "garbage noise" plays the same sound as the room that has the 17th entry in undertale. So whoever was calling Spamton was either Gaster or someone related to him.
I thought it was just a reference to the horrible noise phones made during the age of dial up internet tbh
Its my own headcanon (and a lot of others) that Gaster is “the knight” in his dark world form. I assume he reached out to both Spamton and Jevil to make them go insane.

There's one little extra detail that's easy to miss.
If you didn'y get ran over by toby and get the moss early on, you can comeback with Sussie, get ran over and then to take the moss, you will share it with her.
She will be classified as "moss enjoyer: Supports those that find moss", she also throws a line like "Eh, I guess you can have your good moments too Kris"

I think the dark worlds technically do exist before the fountains “create” them. The characters exist, mostly void of personality, and completely outside of time before they receive new “directions” from the location of the fountain in the overworld. Essentially they are molded into shadows of the light world by the light cast from it. That’s why Queen can be both a completely new entity, an allegory for Noelle’s own mother, a sentient computer, and Lancer’s actual mother.
They seem to have motivations, personality, and even the means to contact external entities (like the Knight) prior to dark world "creation" though. They seem no less real then than now. I think it's only accurate to say the fountain gives LIGHTNERS form in dark worlds, not that the fountains give the dark worlds form.
@@MrStrangeUsername I think they do give the dark worlds form, but it's entirely non-linear. Once you create a fountain it becomes as if that dark world always existed, with history and individual people.
@@galarstar052 Im pretty sure the dark and light worlds run in parallel from each other, darkners and lightners interact with one another through objects in the light world (which is why the darkners have history with previous lightners), but once a fountain is made lightners are able to fully see and interact with the dark world, unlike before where it was just fiddling with objects.
@@BitrateBilly Almost like something punctures the ceiling of the dark world, and an object casts a shadow into it from the light world.
Exactly, its clear that the fountains are unstable rifts of sorts, but its unclear how Ralsei has a "Pure" dark fountain, when it was made clear that it was a supply closet and was well known to be just that, it had to have been manufactured somehow and its unclear as to why it isn't unstable like the other fountains, perhaps it is the size of the area in which the fountain is made? It would make sense as the supply closet world is extremely small, compared to both the library and the unused classroom which were both enormous in size.
Susie smashes the pots if you leave the room regardless of current progression, so it’s a nice trick for speedrunners I’d imagine.
