A censored script for the sake of it will never be better than the original script, the horrible censored localization completely changed every character's personality and made them plain as hell, one of the worst aspects of the western release.

The english dub has superior voice range for characters with different personalities and the minor quirks in voice and character portrayal to help reflect that, that the Jp dub seems to not have at times. Etie having a voice fitting for an tough, confident, tomboy, with an outgoing personality and a love for Fitness and, Goldmary, as the Narcissist who strives to be perfect in all things, while maintaining a picturesque womanly elegance at all times and of course in all things is shown well in their voices in the english dub.
@@bohrsinns9390 Not to mention it also makes Goldmarys narcissism actually believable. In japanese she outright tells Etie to end it. In English they gave her WAY more characterization. The only thing I don't enjoy is the fact they changed a LOT of the S supports in the game. I understand the child units changing, but everyone else becoming non romantic was annoying
@@Raydr62 Tbh, I don’t really feel that the S Supports were really that more romantic in the Japanese version, at least from the translations that I’ve seen. Sure you could argue that the localization did use some choice wording to make things either more ambiguous or skew a little more towards platonic in a couple of cases, but for the most part I don’t think a lot was really lost in the grand scheme of things. Engage just universally has lower emphasis on romance.

Eng is better. Goldmary actually wants to understand Etie in her own way while in jap she was just curious about her body.
