After 20+ years of CCW licensed EDC, I currently carry a Sig P365XL with a few modifications... grooved TacDev magazine baseplates, SIG 12 round magazine with Magguts 12+2 round mag springs (proven to be utterly reliable), Wilson Combat grip module, Armory Craft steel extended magazine release, Armory Craft semi-curved trigger, SIG OEM barrel, Holosun 407K2 green dot, in aTulster IWB holster. Very happy.
SIG really made a fan of me. Their listening to the demands of shooters, law enforcement and the military is the reason for their success. SIG has an outstanding supply chain, they have shown the ability to both re-engineer american classics and innovate like they have with this gun and the P320.
@@thomasmarchese2808 Right now, the cause of the troubles the P320 has are not proven. But, I wonder what the troubles are and what can be done to remedy the troubles.
I too have fired the XL and the Macro together at the range to compare them. I've got to say that the XL seemed to shoot better for me. If their was any less recoil with the Macro, I found it to be negligible at best. Not enough to matter because I couldn't even tell a difference. I think it boils down to this, if you need the extra capacity - go with the Macro, but if concealability is your priority - then get the XL and get some magguts to make it a 14+1. Thanks. I'm waffling between the two. I don't think I need the extra rounds and the fact that he said it gets so much hotter is bothersome to me. Only shot a friends regular P365 but I really liked it and not issues for me so seems like the XL would be my choice.

The difference is more noticeable on 115 Gr And +p loadings. Essentially, any loading that produces more gas will drive the comp, though it’s not nearly as effective as a dedicated comp. I’m planning to run Corbion +p once I can test it.
So now that Sig released the X Macro frame I think the main thing to consider is whether you want a compensator or a longer barrel. You can have the 17 round capacity on the XL if you buy the grip module and the mags, or you can get the X Macro and buy the XL frame and mags.

I've carried the 365xl for a while. I just bought an x macro and swapped the slides so now the xl has the comp on it. It can use the comp much more than the macro with its much bigger grip. Sig should really offer the 365xl with the compensator. I guess that would eat into spectre comp sales though.
I've had the XL for a couple of years. I just got a Macro grip and some mags direct from Sig and put my XL slide and FCU on the Macro grip. Feels great in the hand. Hopefully I can get some range time in this week to see how it shoots.
The new P365 XL pistols in the TacPac actually have the new optic mount with slide mounted rear sight. My guess is they will all have it eventually. Yes, no compensator, but personally I’ll gladly trade the compensator for longer sight radius.
It doesn’t look like the rear is a night sight though which defeats the purpose for me. Seems you would be just as well off using the built in plastic sights on the optic.
I got an XL, then just recently purchased an x macro grip module and magazines, it’s a great little conversion. You keep the 3.7” barrel, get the bigger grip, more capacity, and pic rail
I started with a non-compensated XL Spectre. I bought a custom-stippled macro grip module, and a couple 17-round Macro mags. I swap the macro grip module onto the rest of the rig, and I have a non-compensated macro. My hands are on the small side so the XL grip fits me fine, but the macro grip is perfect which is probably why I shoot it a bit better. That said, I rarely carry the macro as I don’t need the bulk in the SW Florida heat. There are other great 9mm strikers out there, but the modularity and aftermarket of the 365 is hard to beat. I also have a 365 with a flat trigger, so I can make five distinct firearms from the pieces. Not necessary; definitely cool!
Basically the macro uses the barrel from the p365 base model or the p365x. Now I just want an icarus precision EVO grip made for the 17rd mags. Anyone who hasn't checked that out, it will completely transform your gun. The difference is night and day even over other grip modules out there.
@@Zeiss120 probably, but if it is my edc I want it to be right, I am willing to pay for that and "Gucci" it out, though in reality that extra weight and lack of flex of polymer and the better stipling and better ergonomics and slight size increase and gas pedals all make legitimately shoot much better, on a slow 10 yard drill I am doing less than a quarter group with the evo, pmm comp, trigger and a spring kit. Shoots nearly like a pellet gun compared to the original somewhat unpleasant and snappy p365. I really love this setup and would put it up against any other I have shot, I enjoy it over my CZ Shadow that had been my edc before.
@@neileddy6159 eh I purchased the EVO last round of preorder and I have the Wilson Combat grip with Tungsten weights right now for my 365XL. I don't know if I want the handle to be any longer. I can take it if its only to the 15rnd mag can sit flush. Don't know if I want the 17rnders length as my CCW for a micro compact. At that point I minds well ditch the micro carry for a Glock 19X size and get the benefits of a lesser snappy front end.
I have the XL with the Wilson Combat grip, and the magguts +2 plate extention and I love it! Much slimmer than the Macro, easier to conceal, and thicker and more comfortable than the XL stock grip.

Good comparison for a newbie like me trying to decide which choice for shooting range, carry, and home protection. P320 looks promising but these two are I bit smaller I believe and I'm not that big of a guy so printing might be an issue. I also have medium sized hands so a larger gun isn't necessary. Anyway, good job with the comparison. Very helpful for me.
I’m just a random on the internet, but I’d personally stay away from the P320 until the issues it’s been shown to have get for sure cleared up. Now, if you just wanted a range gun, sure I don’t see why not, but for concealed carry, I personally think that knowing that my gun is safe and reliable is paramount for being confident carrying. Also, I currently carry something similar in size to the P320, but I think that in the future, I’m leaning toward something just a little bit thinner like the 365 platform (I’ve got big hands so I am leaning towards the X Macro)
I think your good, cause after I bought the macro I wanted to return it for an xl but they wouldn't let me, so I shot the macro and I love it. I just used the last situation to buy a bigger gun for the nightstand and the range: a walther pdp (yup, love it)
First, the production of the video was good. Volume is sometimes an issue but I did not need to change the volume so I could hear what was being said. The comparison was explained well. I intend to purchase a P365 for EDC and have not decided which version I want. This video was very helpful. I now understand why the XMacro has a shorter barrel with a longer overall length. I have found several detail errors with Sig's description of their pistols and attributed the short barrel discrepancy to that. Thanks for a very useful video.

I really appreciate all of the hard work and effort you put into this video. It was very thorough and hit almost all of the marks…except one. I’m not sure why you didn’t compare the P365XL with the X-MACRO grip to the P365 X-MACRO. For most P365XL owners one of their biggest questions is shoot-ability. This would have provided the opportunity to compare the slides and barrels. Just my two cents. Keep up the good work!
That was a pretty comprehensive review on both pistols and the differences. I have a macro and I love it, but I am going to buy the original p365 grip module and make mine a little more carry friendly. I will need to buy the flush fit 10 round mag also.
Macro slide on the original p365 grip module is a great combo for deep concealment- great for summer attire. MagGuts also helps squeeze another 2 rounds in the 10 or 12-rd mags…and the 17rd Macro mag is a handy backup.
I really recommend the XL or X grip module (they are exactly the same). It is the same length as the standard P365 grip module, but has a slightly longer grip which will accommodate the flush fit 12 round magazines. I find it to be the perfect compromise between size and capacity, right in between the macro and the standard P365.
Didn't read all the comments, but there is also holster incompatibility between to 2 with regard to kydex holsters. Because of the difference in the rails, the X-Macro is just a touch wider preventing it from going in to a holster for the XL
I have 365 xl and 365 Specter Comp which is essentially Macro slide on XL frame. In my opinion that comped slide doesn't nearly do.as much as Sig claims.
@@CMH_1975 or Dremel the extra length off the front of the grip? You would loose a few pic rail slots... That might be a fix although I wouldn't want to be the first to try it.
@@ericracz4230 I mean, I guess you could dremel the front part off of you wanted to. I wouldn't do it, but that's just me. Might have an issue with mounting a light. The light selection is pretty small as it is.
I bought the macro about a month ago I love shooting it awesome gun I just think it's a slight big to carry comfortably everyday and now I have to send it back to Sig because my front sight moves to the right when I fire it I just bought the xl today holding both of them the Excel is going to be a lot better carry gun for summer anyway
I have the Xl now, just hope they release the macro frame! Not the biggest fan of compensators, but thank goodness for a standard pic rail! And you know Wilson Combat is gonna to make a frame eventually.
I found the XL to be much better for carry. I carry it the 12 round mag and a backup 15 round mag (bout to buy the 17 round upgrade). Shoots great for personal protection, and not worth switching to the macro for me personally.
Thanks for the content! About the only one mentioning the slide getting hot fast. Maybe even an issue for appendix holster drills. My xl slide went on the macro grip. Wilson Combat will be coming out with theirs soon!
This was very informative, I’ve been looking at north guns and am in the midst of doing my research, I currently run a Springfield .45XD it’s a great gun but I’ve shot the Sig P320 and kind of feel in love with it, though I’ve heard the 365 Macro is almost as good a gun and the price tag is more manageable, anyhow thank you!
Best option is the xmacro tacops edition. It’s pretty much a macro frame with the xl slide so it has no compensator and a 3.7in barrel. I’ve shot a regular macro and my tacops side by side and they shoot identical since the longer barrel helps recoil about as much as the built in comp does without any of the downsides of having the compensator
I’ve had an XL since 2019 with the 15 round extended mag (Just bought the 17), a Holosun 507K red dot and an Armory Craft skeletonized flat trigger. I just need an XL length slide thats dual optic and iron sight capable like the macro 🤤
If sig made a P365 frame with picatinny rail with 10, 12, 15 and 17 round capacity with the XL slide then I would buy. A set up like this would cover a wide range of needs in one gun.
The one thing I was surprised to hear was that the "XMacro" is slightly bigger than the "XL" as the word "macro" would indicate something smaller as in the science world where "macro" is smaller that "micro". Great video Thanks Best regards, FB

The grip of the XL is significantly shorter at the heal than the XMacro. This is a prime print point, So the XL will conceal easier. I'd also like to see some chrono tests of the XMacro (or base P365, since their ballistics will be the same) vs the XL. I bet you'd see a 50 fps difference with the over half inch barrel length difference. If so, I wouldn't call that minute.
I'm looking a ccw for my wife. I'm between this 2, the P365XL and macro or the M&P shield EZ Performance Center, which was her first ccw and she love it. The only complaint with the M&P shield is the capacity, only 8 +1 rounds and single stacked. And we sold it because was the .380 and we want a 9mm.

Great video! Been looking at the 365XL vs the Shield Plus…and then the Macro came out. So then I was curious if the extra $$$ was worth the Macro over XL
Personally I would get the Macro, and then buy the XL frame on Sigs website for $79 and a magazine and you could swap the slide and Fire control unit from the Macro onto the XL frame. Takes 2 minutes and you have the option for two guns. Just need an XL magazine and frame and you have two guns in one

Wondering is someone will sell longer macro barrels in the future but cut them to work with the factory slide slots. Edit: we’ll not being able to insert the xl barrel might prevent that form ever happening. I guess the other route would be buy a x or xl and have it ported.
Only you can figure that one out. I've handled and shot both but I carry the XL and don't really want to carry anything bigger than that. I would maybe "winter" carry the Macro if I was planning on being somewhere sketchy and wanted the extra rounds. As others have said, you can get a Magguts upgrade on your XL to get an extra 2 rounds if you need to. For me, the XL is the goldilocks solution though, not too big and not too small.
Update, I bought the Macro Grip and 2 Macro magazines from Sig for $200 and now I can switch back and forth between the two. This modularity thing is pretty nice.
@@spindoggytheexplorer2915 I really do love both. I have medium length, thin fingers and the regular XL grip fits my hand perfectly and I can still get a full grip. My friend who has slightly larger hands prefers the Macro grip all day and finds the XL grip a little too small. I like the Macro grip just fine when I need the extra capacity but the XL grip is probably what I prefer. If you get the chance, maybe try holding both at your local gun store to see which you might prefer.
Both are great but my XL with it's aftermarket 4.35" threaded barrel and micro comp fits me perfectly. The X Macro does offer less recoil than my EDC, even with the micro comp installed but I have a strong grip, so that isn't as much of an issue for me as it may be for some other folks. The increased velocity/energy from the longer threaded barrel and suppressor compatibility gives my custom P365XL the win for me. For those that are not interested in altering their handguns and just want a badass soft shooting subcompact EDC pistol right out of the box, the P365 X Macro is for you....
Did you shoot the XL slide on the macro frame? I have an XL and as looking at maybe just picking up the bottom hand module for the extra length and capacity. I assume it will work.
I have. Yes, the Macro frame will work fine with the XL slide. Sold my XL after I got the Macro and ran a few hundred rounds through it. I preferred the Macro as a whole better than the Macro frame and XL slide.

I like the concept of the X Macro ported slide, but imagine the slide gets very hot after a few magazines, and I prefer a longer barrel for ballistics and accuracy. Still you can’t go wrong with the XMacro. I’ll be waiting for Wilson Combat to start producing the XMacro grip modules for my XL. Problem is finding the 17 round mags.
I don’t get why people think a barrel that is just over 1/2 longer makes a huge difference in a concealed carry gun. At most you’re losing 75fps. Whatever ammo you are running will still function fine.
@@chrisharris9710 the xl balances in the hand better for me. With red dot on the sight radius is not a big deal. Without the red dot the xl is more accurate in double taps and rapid deployment because of the longer sight radius. Maybe that could be trained out, but for me it just points more naturally.
I put the xl slide on the macro and it’s perfect. I couldn’t wait, so now SIG has more of my money. If I wasn’t so impatient I could’ve just waited until Wilson came out with a macro grip. 🙄
I have an XL… I have Veridian green Dots on my ARs… what Veridian is on your XL…? Can’t seem to get a straight answer out of what amount will fit my P3 65 XL… It looks like you have a GD 35 on there… But I haven’t been able to find the mount that fits the XL… Any help would be appreciated
So am I right in my take away, that a p365xl barrel could fit into a xMacro slide if a little fancy Dremeling happens? I thought is using a p365xl threaded barrel with a xMacro slide. Is the recoil spring shrouding the only clearance issue in general a xl bbl or thread bbl to work?

Why would it matter if the xl mags don’t fit in the macro frame? You want the frame for the high capacity so u don’t want the xl mags. I would love the macro frame (and mags, duh) with the xl slide and (and barrel etc). I think that’s the best of both worlds as I dislike compensators and I like my the longer xl barrel
For me, I have a carry a Micro and have a couple XLs staged, and a lot of magazines, that Will Not work in the Macro. I just purchased 2 17 round mags, it comes with base plate to micro and xl, I will probably buy a couple more 17 round mags. As for the grip module you can find about anything you want, and Houtg grips makes the Micro and XL grip wider.
I think the newest model of p365xl has updated cuts on the slide so you don’t lose sights when installing optic. I did notice the pistol+Romeo sight combo they’re selling has the old slide design though.

I went from the XL to glock 43x back to the XL because it prints less and has a lot more features. Love my XL!!!

Yup, this is how mine came in the TacPac. I didn't even realize that was a thing until I got the gun but was pleasantly surprised.

Pretty sure the Icarus EVO and previous Hybrid can take the 17rnd mags with no modification.

I just started carrying a P365 XL and really like it. I’ll probably will stick with it for awhile. It replaced my Glock 26.

I did the same thing. My G26 is now collecting dust. I love my XL.
First, the production of the video was good. Volume is sometimes an issue but I did not need to change the volume so I could hear what was being said. The comparison was explained well. I intend to purchase a P365 for EDC and have not decided which version I want. This video was very helpful. I now understand why the XMacro has a shorter barrel with a longer overall length. I have found several detail errors with Sig's description of their pistols and attributed the short barrel discrepancy to that. Thanks for a very useful video.

I really appreciate all of the hard work and effort you put into this video. It was very thorough and hit almost all of the marks…except one. I’m not sure why you didn’t compare the P365XL with the X-MACRO grip to the P365 X-MACRO. For most P365XL owners one of their biggest questions is shoot-ability. This would have provided the opportunity to compare the slides and barrels. Just my two cents. Keep up the good work!
That was a pretty comprehensive review on both pistols and the differences. I have a macro and I love it, but I am going to buy the original p365 grip module and make mine a little more carry friendly. I will need to buy the flush fit 10 round mag also.
Macro slide on the original p365 grip module is a great combo for deep concealment- great for summer attire. MagGuts also helps squeeze another 2 rounds in the 10 or 12-rd mags…and the 17rd Macro mag is a handy backup.

I really recommend the XL or X grip module (they are exactly the same). It is the same length as the standard P365 grip module, but has a slightly longer grip which will accommodate the flush fit 12 round magazines. I find it to be the perfect compromise between size and capacity, right in between the macro and the standard P365.
Watching the difference of recoil in slow motion is crazy. Makes me want to get the xmacro!

Didn't read all the comments, but there is also holster incompatibility between to 2 with regard to kydex holsters. Because of the difference in the rails, the X-Macro is just a touch wider preventing it from going in to a holster for the XL
Just got a Macro frame and will put a XL slide on it. Best of both for me.
I have the same setup now, just looking for a holster now. It looks like the Macro holster should work since the slides are about the same dimensions.

I have 365 xl and 365 Specter Comp which is essentially Macro slide on XL frame. In my opinion that comped slide doesn't nearly do.as much as Sig claims.
They forgot to claim a slight loss in velocity but some extra cleaning needed.
They met middle, I have the p365x macro with a 3.7in barrel no comp and it's love

Sig told me that they are comming out with a macro grip module sold separately. So if you have an xl you can use it on your xl.

@@ericracz4230 no, the rail up front is too long. You could add a XL threaded barrel and add a comp with a P365 slide though.
@@CMH_1975 or Dremel the extra length off the front of the grip? You would loose a few pic rail slots... That might be a fix although I wouldn't want to be the first to try it.
@@ericracz4230 I mean, I guess you could dremel the front part off of you wanted to. I wouldn't do it, but that's just me. Might have an issue with mounting a light. The light selection is pretty small as it is.

I bought the macro about a month ago I love shooting it awesome gun I just think it's a slight big to carry comfortably everyday and now I have to send it back to Sig because my front sight moves to the right when I fire it I just bought the xl today holding both of them the Excel is going to be a lot better carry gun for summer anyway
I have the Xl now, just hope they release the macro frame! Not the biggest fan of compensators, but thank goodness for a standard pic rail! And you know Wilson Combat is gonna to make a frame eventually.

I found the XL to be much better for carry. I carry it the 12 round mag and a backup 15 round mag (bout to buy the 17 round upgrade). Shoots great for personal protection, and not worth switching to the macro for me personally.

About the only one mentioning the slide getting hot fast. Maybe even an issue for appendix holster drills. My xl slide went on the macro grip. Wilson Combat will be coming out with theirs soon!
Love the Wilson Combat grip for my XL. Fits much better in my hand than the standard Sig grip. Hopefully the macro will be out soon!
This was very informative, I’ve been looking at north guns and am in the midst of doing my research, I currently run a Springfield .45XD it’s a great gun but I’ve shot the Sig P320 and kind of feel in love with it, though I’ve heard the 365 Macro is almost as good a gun and the price tag is more manageable, anyhow thank you!
Best option is the xmacro tacops edition. It’s pretty much a macro frame with the xl slide so it has no compensator and a 3.7in barrel. I’ve shot a regular macro and my tacops side by side and they shoot identical since the longer barrel helps recoil about as much as the built in comp does without any of the downsides of having the compensator
I’ve had an XL since 2019 with the 15 round extended mag (Just bought the 17), a Holosun 507K red dot and an Armory Craft skeletonized flat trigger. I just need an XL length slide thats dual optic and iron sight capable like the macro 🤤

If sig made a P365 frame with picatinny rail with 10, 12, 15 and 17 round capacity with the XL slide then I would buy. A set up like this would cover a wide range of needs in one gun.
The one thing I was surprised to hear was that the "XMacro" is slightly bigger than the "XL" as the word "macro" would indicate something smaller as in the science world where "macro" is smaller that "micro".

SIG changed the rear sight on the XL. Newer models allow you to keep the rear sight with the optic.

The grip of the XL is significantly shorter at the heal than the XMacro. This is a prime print point, So the XL will conceal easier. I'd also like to see some chrono tests of the XMacro (or base P365, since their ballistics will be the same) vs the XL. I bet you'd see a 50 fps difference with the over half inch barrel length difference. If so, I wouldn't call that minute.

I'm looking a ccw for my wife. I'm between this 2, the P365XL and macro or the M&P shield EZ Performance Center, which was her first ccw and she love it. The only complaint with the M&P shield is the capacity, only 8 +1 rounds and single stacked. And we sold it because was the .380 and we want a 9mm.
Check out the equalizer. It's basically the ez version of the shield plus

Great video! Been looking at the 365XL vs the Shield Plus…and then the Macro came out. So then I was curious if the extra $$$ was worth the Macro over XL
Personally I would get the Macro, and then buy the XL frame on Sigs website for $79 and a magazine and you could swap the slide and Fire control unit from the Macro onto the XL frame. Takes 2 minutes and you have the option for two guns. Just need an XL magazine and frame and you have two guns in one

What about Holster compatibility?? It is my understanding the Macro is wider (Pic Rail) and the P365 X Macro won't work in a P365 XL holster.
Wondering is someone will sell longer macro barrels in the future but cut them to work with the factory slide slots.
Edit: we’ll not being able to insert the xl barrel might prevent that form ever happening. I guess the other route would be buy a x or xl and have it ported.

Enjoyed the video and different format. Just shot the Macro today. Considering a Macro or XL, if you had to choose which one would you pick?
Only you can figure that one out. I've handled and shot both but I carry the XL and don't really want to carry anything bigger than that. I would maybe "winter" carry the Macro if I was planning on being somewhere sketchy and wanted the extra rounds. As others have said, you can get a Magguts upgrade on your XL to get an extra 2 rounds if you need to. For me, the XL is the goldilocks solution though, not too big and not too small.
Update, I bought the Macro Grip and 2 Macro magazines from Sig for $200 and now I can switch back and forth between the two. This modularity thing is pretty nice.

@@spindoggytheexplorer2915 I really do love both. I have medium length, thin fingers and the regular XL grip fits my hand perfectly and I can still get a full grip. My friend who has slightly larger hands prefers the Macro grip all day and finds the XL grip a little too small. I like the Macro grip just fine when I need the extra capacity but the XL grip is probably what I prefer. If you get the chance, maybe try holding both at your local gun store to see which you might prefer.

How about compare with Sig P365?
Both are great but my XL with it's aftermarket 4.35" threaded barrel and micro comp fits me perfectly. The X Macro does offer less recoil than my EDC, even with the micro comp installed but I have a strong grip, so that isn't as much of an issue for me as it may be for some other folks. The increased velocity/energy from the longer threaded barrel and suppressor compatibility gives my custom P365XL the win for me.
For those that are not interested in altering their handguns and just want a badass soft shooting subcompact EDC pistol right out of the box, the P365 X Macro is for you....

Sold my XL after I got the Macro and ran a few hundred rounds through it. I preferred the Macro as a whole better than the Macro frame and XL slide.

I have an XL with a Tru Precision Barrel and Herrington Compensator. I like the concept of the X Macro ported slide, but imagine the slide gets very hot after a few magazines, and I prefer a longer barrel for ballistics and accuracy. Still you can’t go wrong with the XMacro. I’ll be waiting for Wilson Combat to start producing the XMacro grip modules for my XL. Problem is finding the 17 round mags.
Perfect SIG 365 = Macro frame with 17rn and XL slide with longer barrel.
Not a fan of lost velocity and extra cleaning. I put my xl frame on the macro and it’s a winner. Sig will release one in a bit lol.
I don’t get why people think a barrel that is just over 1/2 longer makes a huge difference in a concealed carry gun. At most you’re losing 75fps. Whatever ammo you are running will still function fine.
@@chrisharris9710 the xl balances in the hand better for me. With red dot on the sight radius is not a big deal. Without the red dot the xl is more accurate in double taps and rapid deployment because of the longer sight radius. Maybe that could be trained out, but for me it just points more naturally.
I put the xl slide on the macro and it’s perfect. I couldn’t wait, so now SIG has more of my money. If I wasn’t so impatient I could’ve just waited until Wilson came out with a macro grip. 🙄
I have an XL… I have Veridian green Dots on my ARs… what Veridian is on your XL…? Can’t seem to get a straight answer out of what amount will fit my P3 65 XL… It looks like you have a GD 35 on there… But I haven’t been able to find the mount that fits the XL… Any help would be appreciated

So am I right in my take away, that a p365xl barrel could fit into a xMacro slide if a little fancy Dremeling happens? I thought is using a p365xl threaded barrel with a xMacro slide. Is the recoil spring shrouding the only clearance issue in general a xl bbl or thread bbl to work?
How does the p365xl frame with the p365x macro slide with compensator and shorter barrel shoot compared to just the standard p365xl barrel, slide and frame? That is what I would like to know and it seems that nobody is talking about that.
Why would it matter if the xl mags don’t fit in the macro frame? You want the frame for the high capacity so u don’t want the xl mags. I would love the macro frame (and mags, duh) with the xl slide and (and barrel etc). I think that’s the best of both worlds as I dislike compensators and I like my the longer xl barrel
For me, I have a carry a Micro and have a couple XLs staged, and a lot of magazines, that Will Not work in the Macro. I just purchased 2 17 round mags, it comes with base plate to micro and xl, I will probably buy a couple more 17 round mags. As for the grip module you can find about anything you want, and Houtg grips makes the Micro and XL grip wider.
I think the newest model of p365xl has updated cuts on the slide so you don’t lose sights when installing optic. I did notice the pistol+Romeo sight combo they’re selling has the old slide design though.
