I got a 503 CXi with the motor winder and of all the cameras I’ve ever used, it’s by far and away my favourite. However, those nice accessories come with not so nice price tags. They’re amazing modular cameras with a heroic amount of options, but I’m £3k in and am looking to buy some more lenses. It’s a genuine investment not for the faint of heart. When i look at the images though, i don’t mind the beans on toast diet for months lol
I sold all my film gear except my Nikon FE. When possible I'll trade it for a Nikon FM2 and call it a day with buying film cameras. I had Bronica sq-a, great camera, but I felt it was a matter of time before the electronics give up. All in all, film is super niche and will only get more expensive.
I had the Bronica SQ, SQ-B, I also have a minty Fuji GW690 which I am thinking about selling, it just goes through rolls of film way too fast. I now have the Hasselblad 500 C/M and love the sharp images which I can print square or crop to 645 which still makes large prints. People talk about 6x7, 6x8 and 6x9 today and honestly digital medium format shoots at a smaller sensor size. If I want to go larger I can use my 4x5.
I’m thingking of getting rid of my 503CXi as I recently purchased the anniversary version of the 503CW. But even though I got a way rarer camera, letting my old Blad go is still painful.
I would have thought you'd opt for a Bronica S2A with Nikkor glass😂 Having owned a 503CM, the rather long MFD of the lenses bothered me constantly. I ended up back on a Bronica ETRSi with the 50/75/100 trifecta. Having shot the Zeiss glass adapted to digital, it's great, but not much better than the Bronnie. Have a look at the "I'm Back MF" digital film back project. Very entertaining...
Hasselblad cameras are a lot of fun. I used to own a Hasselblad 203fe, where you can use the waistlevel finder with the built in meter. I sold it at a time when it was worth about 2.500 Euro with a lens. And yes, I am facepalming so hard now.
My Hasselblad 500 ruined me for other cameras. I’ve ditched all of my 35mm and only shoot the Blad and my beater 67 now. The Hasselblad with the 80mm is even my travel camera now.
Good decision. I limited myself to Nikon MF and AF SLRs and DSLRs. Then I just bought a Hasselblad 503cx with a 40mm and 80mm lens and 2 Leicaflex SL2 with a 35mm and 50mm Summicron. For "playing" I have a cheap Agfa Record III (6x9), a Holga 6x6 and a Holga 6x12. And it's still too much.
I got rid of so many of my cameras. And I regret selling each and every one of them.

Yes, yes, yes! Polarizer is must with the slide film. It makes such a massive difference.
I have a GSW690 which I've yet to use. Wo is me. It can be hard to depart with cameras. But sometimes it's a must to make room for more😊

Just in case, it's REALLY easy to modify the Bronica to shoot 56x24 with 120 film on a standard 120 o 220 back
Great video and subscribed

A super cheap bronica etrs with 3 lenses shows up locally. I'm super tempted.

where do you sell them?
Ebay and local ads.
If I sell a camera, it will not take long before miss it!
What happened to the Nikon from the Thumbnail?
Its too explicit for youtube.
Do you find eBay a money sucker though, the commission they take is so high!
Somewhat, I try to sell locally as much as I can which helps a lot.
