Any questions I'd be happy to share. I wish I didn't have to fly in Class B C or D. KRNM is outside the class B, but to get into KMYF a transponder and lots of radio calls are required. We installed a J3 tail spring when I made the ballast weight bracket. The ground handling improved significantly. Are you posting on Instagram? I ran into water hose issues when I bought the plane, so a shop made a custom aluminum 4 core with matched fitting to the engine. Now everything is standard.
I have a 98 summit x,it works well at any altitude, I sled in 10k zone, and I get great mileage with the dpm system .Will the digital performance management system work for airplane applications?
You know I am not sure about that. When it comes to the engine being on an airplane they tune them down. I have a max RPM of 7000. I would be interested to see if anyone would try that system.
No it is not foil, it is a heat shield wrap. I had to run the back set of plug wires between the exhaust and heads so I wanted a little more protection is all.
@@upthere1583 That is a hard one with tons of different things to look at. Are you using shielded lines? If so did you ground one side of the shield to the common ground block? As it always been there or did it come when you might have changed somehting?
After watching this video, I like your avionics design, unfortunately I fly in Class B, C and D so I have a GTX327 transponder w/Uvionixs ECHO, GTR200B has intercom and Dual G5''s with Aera560 Navigator connected to my HSI for GPS navigation. Analog VDO Tach, Oil, Water, Gearbox temp and voltmeter.
You did it the right way, I am just cheap and don't like to be followed haha. I just fly under the C and D is no issue without one, But that Damn B and the 30nm ring.
Man is that is heck of a nice upgrade and looks like it’s really coming together. Thanx for the video.
Thanks Howard for the boost. I am itching to fly her again.
Nicely done man can't wait to see it fly again.
Thanks for the update. Nice neat installation. Can't wait to see it fly !!!
Ron you are welcome. The install is coming along better then I thought.
Looking good. I wasn't aware of the 670 so was educational 👍

Glad your happy with the motor can't wait to see you fly it!!
Nor Can I! Thanks.
Looks good! Nice work. Let's see it fly soon!
Great update brother! Sorry the flush iPad mount didn’t work out but I understand your reasoning for not using it.
I knew it would upset you hahah. Speaking of updates you owe us one with your new AVmap install Mr.

With the dpm and ho motor in my sled is around 130 hp
That is some nice HP, wish we could get that out of them. On the plane they tune them down to around 92hp with pipe. The goal behind it is longevity.
What model hanger is that? Did you build? Buy or rent?
The hangar is a Winkler system out of Canada. I bought it. They have many different designs to fit your needs.
Is that foil on the spark plug caps? Does it help with radio noise?
No it is not foil, it is a heat shield wrap. I had to run the back set of plug wires between the exhaust and heads so I wanted a little more protection is all.
@@dcavidflyer3073 ok thanks. I'm trying to cure a radio buzz.
