I can't tell you how much I appreciate this. I grew up here and I so often have dreams of biking the village and really needed the refresher. I even remembered who lived where. You just missed a few streets i needed you to go down. When you got to the "thruway" i kept yelling...go left go left! And the Diner...oh my its still there! Havent been home since 93ish
8:00 all the houses are still there, right on the cliff of the river. bridge is new. there used to be shopping carts in the river from the old Thruway Market.
A little narration would be helpful as you pass by certain buildings, the high falls gorge or the McKinley Statue. Maybe talk a little about the village history too. If nothing else, add music from the car radio .
What's up Steve. I stumbled upon this video in my Recommended channel (no idea why) but wow, Walden hasn't changed much since the last time I was there. I wasn't born in Walden (though I was born and raised in Orange County, N.Y.) but I hung out in Walden 24/7 for many, many years. I wonder if we know any of the same people? Possibly.
Miss my home town 😢
Yes my friend very very beautiful there is more for you to see in the beautiful town that you’re in Walden welcome

If you are a fan of Mexican food, Zona Rosa in Walden is most excellent! Thanks for taking us for a ride, Steve!
Thank you, i will definitely check it out.
The food is great, the prices? Not so much.
@@Jophlo78 That’s a shame. I think they used to be decently priced. I know a lot places have skyrocketed their prices in recent times :(
Yeah its really good! I live there and get it pretty often
04:59 building with open sign used to be a pizza parlor in the 1960s and 1970s and sold large pies for $5 that were delicious.

Besides being nothing there, there's also nothing there...
Depressing place...
Is the Thruway Market still there?

I wish you made a right on wait st. We lived on that block in the late 70s and early 80s. The house was haunted
You drove past my house 😂
Where the infamous Waldenites live
02:49 'tool' alert. hate those people.
I live her it's nothing special expensive af the copes never do there jobs it's like Newburgh just not as bad
I laughed at this title. Walden is a shithole. Only good thing about Walden is Daxxons.
